The Clone Saga was the original attempt to fix the problem of “Spider-man is married, married people seem old to kids, kids can’t relate to him”.

So they told us all the comics we’d read and bought from like 1978 to 1995 were about a clone of the real Spider-Man.

Obviously this was a terrible idea and they reversed it.

Time does heal lots of wounds and once they retconned that stupid idea (allowing them to “fix” the problem later with One More Day), people could develop nostalgia for the various clones introduced during this dark era of Spidey stories.

I never liked Kaine but I do appreciate they were trying to come up with a name for an antagonist “brother” for Spidey and just went with Cain, I mean Kaine.

It would have been hilarious if there was a non-powered clone named Abel who doesn’t know why but has a lot of pet spiders and works in Jersey as a mid level manager.

Brilliant but which one? Haven't they offed her multiple times? Or was she cloned too? I haven't read Spider-Man is 30yrs, got out right before things got stupid. College was well-timed in that respect!

For someone who is like 140 years old or whatever she never just dies of old age though does she? It is always a gunshot wound or Doc Ock got a bit frisky with the tentacles. Also considering all the times she was actually a menace to Spider-Man I always wanted them to do a What if Aunt May snuffed it and it being just one page with Peter just having the best life!
