    I believe the devs said Kaine Parker, who was unannounced then, would be the last Spider-Verse character. For this year, at least ;)

    Can anyone more knowledgeable about the 5* meta comment on Kaine's red and black? Because he seems really good to me, but I am not an expert.

    Regardless - good cheap damage, damage reduction, and (potentially) cheap board shake. Not bad, to be sure, but I doubt he'll be earth-shattering.

    He's one of those characters that has to tank to shine, that's for sure...

    He's very strong. He takes half damage from everything, and unlike PX, who's balanced by having low health, Kaine has exceptionally high health. Functionally, unboosted at 550, he's got 270k HP, which is pretty wild.

    His black active power could be good or bad, it really depends how much damage he's taken. You definitely want him to tank as much as possible.

    His red power is cheap but the damage is proportionally low (devs overrating permanent damage again, probably). The passive component is the important part though -- it'll really add up. He does need to tank.

    Don't underestimate his blue power. "Destroy 7 tiles (that aren't red or black)" for 3AP is going to cause some VERY unpleasant cascades, especially when he's tagging you for an extra 20k on every red match. The cascade will probably generate more of those matches, reducing the cost of a second/third cast.

    He's got the same match damage as m'Thor so he could tank but she's better than he is -- I'd probably use her red and blue over his. She does generate so much AP and so many cascades that they might work together. She will blow up his CD tile, which makes his black active power sorta bad.

    Good no more Spider-verse characters after this. The Devs and Marvel have an unhealthy obsession with Spider-verse characters.

    Let's get more Thor characters and Banshee from X-men in the game

    The black looks good.
    The red is cheap.
    He’s got high health.
    Nothing crazy pretty good kit with good damage reduction and retaliation.

    I like cascade characters; he could be cool with Sersi and maybe ascended pofessor x.

    On the plus side, blowing up that CD prevents him from taking the damage stored in the CD tile when it expires. So she makes his Black passive better because you are much less likely to eat the stored damage.

    I assume an enemy cascade with Kaine in front will mean a future sense tile for each enemy match, so the board could fill with future sense tiles pretty quickly. It states red future sense tiles, so I wonder what happens once all reds are already future sense tiles? Hopefully a random tile turns red.

    As much as another Spider-verse character does not thrill me......

    That being said, I freaking loved this run in the comics, and I loved this suit, especially when Stegman was drawing it.

    I got told off once on here when I said Wolverine was Canadian by a Canadian because of something Canadian which I forget, so I dunno! Do you get Canadian cowboys? But yeah, he could have at least gone for a Moosehead.

    All 3 powers are good. I think Emma3* would be handy for more board manipulation and to maximize his powers. Maybe Sersi as a third for a rainbow and more board shake.
