Purple might be the best web tile generation this side of 2099. Another good partner for gwenom once ascended. Otherwise I am not sure how good he will be. The stun and DR may not be very reliable (not sure how much they will proc in practice) and his green seems unlikely to be the best green ability on most teams

I will roster him, I will champ him and I highly doubt I will ever see any of his animations. He’s a complete dud.

If you want to boycott the game for the character release cadence then I would strongly suggest you quit the game and start writing journalism articles about microstransactions and predatory design practices in freemium mobile gaming instead. That would be both way more on point and way more likely to succeed than sticking around to use a subset of the roster in this roster building freemium game.

I must totally agree with you, and I do accept that as long as I keep playing, I should roster them (just roster, not champion or Max).

You do you. I think the game has set up clear incentives to make rostering and champing every character worthwhile. Not yet clear if ascension is enough to justify maxing everyone.

Nah, his powers sound pretty good. passive web generation is great for spiderpeeps.

What a ridiculous question. Why would any regular player choose not to roster a new 4*? And why would someone ask this question well before we even learn what the abilities are? I suspect maybe a touch of racism perhaps.

I turn on to see new animations.... Then off...

But I also turn on animations for certain teams when I'm just playing for fun.

My favorite animation right now is DDs hand to hand (Jane destroying his CD every turn allows me to imagine Matt flipping around dodging lighting while handing out there beatings) and it's just not as much fun without the animation.

If Pavitr has animations I like, I'll turn them on when using him.

I'm the only one I know that does this though.

That Green AOE based on web tiles promises to do incredible damage when paired with web tile creators like 2099 and in Shield Sim if you add Spider Gwen you get burst heal on every web tile match plus multiple stun colors, and plenty of colors to fire powers on.

Seriously. Imo many people never had played these type of games and then they come to the forum thinking that they'll change this business with just will force.
The game always will release a character each 2 weeks. And certainly will release a 3 and 5 character too.
You can be comfortable with that or not. You can roster them or not. You can complaint about it or not. But you'll never change anything but to lose rewards so the best thing you can do if you think this way is to quit the game asap.
Personally I'm ok with the releases, I roster everything and I think the game right now is better than ever.
Hopefully this comment could help many players.

I don't quite understand how people complain so much about spider characters. There are a lot yes. But compare them to X-Men characters and they don't look so prevalent. Spiderman is arguably the most popular single character for marvel.
I tried to do a quick count.
5* tier 88 characters. 15 spiderman related.
4* tier 145 characters. 26 spiderman.
3* tier 65 characters. 6 spiderman.
My numbers may be off but that doesn't feel like oversaturation.

This is such a weird question. Sure, if you are newer to the game and HP is tight for roster slots, being selective on useful 4s is totally legit and necessary.

However, the whole game is based on a hamster wheel of character collection so skipping one just doesn't seem to make sense. They all move you forward in some form, even if they do mostly collect dust.

To be fair though the X-Men characters are usually distinct from each other (and they are a team so more people) and not just repeat versions of the same superhero. You could argue that 3* Gwen and Miles bring absolutely nothing to the table compared to their already existing 4* versions. And using the symbiote as the default 5* version is a bit boring. Did we need Venom-Shark? Not really.

But it seems we will have a version of practically every character at all levels thanks to 3/5 and ascending so probably moaning about it is a waste of energy.

It is November now, can't be that many Spidey's left. Maybe Christmas/Holiday Spider-Man? I hope he shoots strings of fairy lights and has a Santa hat.
