My alliance went from top 50-100 I think last heroic to T25. We didn’t do anything out of the norm or different, and did no shuffling, but still jumped up significantly. This leads me to believe that the engagement this event was lower than previous which is not something you’d expect during anniversary (I’d expect engagement up across the board). The fact that the developers have already reached out to issue a statement about hearing our concerns leads me to believe that engagement was indeed down for this one and probably significantly so. It’d be an interesting question to ask in the next Quandaries & Answers thread.

I agree, most people don't have a pad of paper and pencil next to the toilet.

I write it down in the Notes app and switch between the two

Whenever I switch apps on my phone the game restarts and I have to use Healthpacks. It gets annoying when my wife constantly texts me in the middle of PvE lol

Heroic rewards the exact same costume as last run. Very cool.

I missed it last time, mainly bc my small alliance was focused on the regular boss event. Hopefully I can get it this time.

Why didn't they change up the rewards?

500HP for a dupe so you still get something of some value.

The really good rewards are the master support tokens.

Paper? Notes app? The only civilized solution to a problem such as this is a spreadsheet, of course!

That looks so complicated, lol I just notepad something like
    black green
    blue red
    etc.

Took me a couple minutes - it's saved me way more time than I spent on it. I have a laptop nearby when I play MPQ. It reminds me what combinations I've already tried. When I find the correct match (Green X), it automatically blanks out all other possibilities in the same row or column.

As a reminder… you don’t have to randomly guess and take notes that way.

    Phantasmal Colors:
Use Quake or Electro to minimize damage. Colors are “wrong”. Match a “fake” color and you’ll gain 1 AP in the “real” color. Write down the code. When Quandry is the “real” color, match the “fake” color to hurt them.
    Red is really __
    Green is really __
    Blue is really __
    Yellow is really __
    Black is really __
    Purple is really __

The code changes each time, color partners aren’t paired (if red is blue, that doesn’t automatically mean blue is red), and sometimes the fake color can actually be the real color.

Does it change even in the the same match? I try to write down fake / real colors but they seem to change all the time. So frustrating!

Nope, each match is one specific code. But you might be getting damaged if you make a move that results in a little cascade?

Do´h! I had it the wrong way around, no wonder it did not work.

Best way to minimize damage is to use the loaners. The damage is percentage-based, so you’ll still have way more than enough health on those loaners to win.

Also use the loaners for the puzzle where you have to match fortified tiles. I can't see any reason to use your actual roster when powers are disabled. That said, I saw someone mention that some passives still work. Has anyone come across anything useful apart from Quake / Electro?

Yes, use the loaners, then you have nothing to lose.

If you use Electro/Quake you don’t even have to look at Quandary. Just match a variety of colors and it will be over in 2 minutes.
