I guess. To me she just does single target, single SAP stuff in a very mediocre way, which sucks because I always like the character from my comics days and would prefer characters I like conceptually to be characters i like mechanically.

They actually did buff her, "fixing" her blue power, a long time ago. It used to be worse!

That buff didn't do anything to help her get used on my roster unfortunately. Maybe she'll be different elevated, I guess I'll know soon enough here.

People who are commenting that the rewards should be higher are missing one of the crucial points of this: you have the option to take a lower-tier character to a higher tier through this process. That's flexibility, and it is its own reward. This is similar to when they added new options to the DDQ a while back. Many people didn't realize that just the ability to complete all the points of the DDQ using your choice of nodes now was an improvement.
Those who think the new rewards for ascending aren't worth it don't have to do it. They can stick with the (quite extensive) roster of characters we have now. Those who want to play with characters in tiers they previously couldn't reach (like me) have decided that that is a reward which helps to offset the lower resource rewards you get in the process.

The biggest change is that until 2.0 for CL10 players, 1 and 2 stars were irrelevant, you did not need either outside of DDQ. Then suddenly you need a bunch of all of them with slots to accommidate them all. It is a huge change in how the game is played from a roster management angle.

Define “need”. I’m assuming you can do just as well as you did before without ever rostering/ascending a new 2/3* character.
Either spending your HP on roster slots is worth it because you will get some sweet rewards from ascending, or the cost isn’t worth it and you can go back to playing exactly how you were before and ignore the feature.

I'm way more excited about 1* covers in my queue after a pvp climb now than I am about the 4* cover.

Because scaling for different star tiers is different, having ascended characters might make those nodes easier.

I don't think I ever saw someone say "gee I wish PVE would take longer, but rewards stay the same", but of course I could be wrong.
