It's REALLY hard to let your Chasm die once the board is filled with web tiles.I still refuse to believe that anyone at BCS has ever played, or even seen, a Chasm/Hulk mirror match. Someone should send them a 45-minute video of one...I'd love to hear why they think that's ok.

It's REALLY hard to let your Chasm die once the board is filled with web tiles.It's pretty darn easy to tell if he heals or not. He either does, or he doesn't upon matching a web tile. You can sit there and note his health before the web tile match then clearly see no gain in health after the match. It does appear for some players they don't notice anything wrong with this mechanic, while others like myself do. For those who've seen this issue happen, we're not delusional.
A typical match when I use Chasm is he might heal on half his web tile matches. I've made web tile match 3/4/5s not seen heals at times. I've seen cascades where web tiles of different colors got matched and no heal. It's hard to figure out why this is happening, especially when some players seem to see this same issue while others do not.
In my case I've used Chasm since he was released and I didn't always have this issue. It started some point in February when I made a thread in general and bug forum. Prior to February any web tile I matched, Chasm healed. I used to use him fairly often in SCL 10 PVE to slog through some tougher nodes in order to preserve having to use health packs for my more go to characters. But some point in February something different definitely started to happen while matching web tiles for me and seemingly others who've posed and seen the same thing happen.
It's really annoying quite a few matches I've played where Chasm got down to very low health. And I'm matching the web tiles away left and right and not healing. I just see him KO'd by his self damage as he wasn't healing like he should.
Even with his healing broken for me, I still use him quite a bit. Usually just to eat some SCL 10 clears like I mentioned. Also in hopes that some point when I use him I might notice his healing is actually working as it should for me again. So far still having those same issues, since February and BC hasn't commented on it at all. Which again other players have mentioned they've noticed this same issue

I suspect a lot of us don't notice because we don't care.
Chasm dying a lot is a feature for me because I get the 1 turn team stun when he resurrects.
So I may or may not be having the bug but I just don't notice it because I want him to die and resurrect.

This is the correct way to use Chasm.

Obviously we all want the team stun and resurrect. However it's really annoying when he doesn't have enough void tiles on board to resurrect or the tiles got cleared by the other team. Then with the web tiles that exist, not healing when matched preventing Chasm from hanging in the fight long enough so that there's enough void tiles to resurrect. Rather I just see him get killed off by his self damage and no stun at that point as there wasn't enough VTs on board, then also have to use a health pack. Not using health packs was one of my main draws to Chasm, but different players have their own preferred use and utility they seek when using him.
Or when using Chasm and he's not already at full health. Start a fight and for one reason or another void tiles got destroyed or matched away quickly, you're trying to get Chasm to hang in the fight long enough until there's enough VTs on the board for resurrect/stun. End up matching numerous web tiles and not getting healing at the key moments needed, he just goes down like a sinking ship and in those scenarios you aren't getting his stun.
Before his healing went from normal to broken, I could use him every match pretty much regardless of where his health pool was at. I'd be able to get him to heal when needed when matching his web tiles when there wasn't enough VTs on board, to hang around long enough that he didn't kill himself off thus losing his stun and having to use a health pack. I was always able to keep the cycle going clear after clear when his healing was working as it was originally.
I guess we'll see what happens when they release his rebalance what boxes he still checks off or doesn't for different players. Seems like the rebalance is the only way anything is going to get addressed whether it's bugs or simply the tool kit as a whole that some players have gripes with.

I run kang with shuri and deathlok so deathlok gains 3 blue n black ap every turn.. when I take on a chasm team chasm drains 3 black ap and at the start of my turn I gain 3 ap.. shouldn't I gain 6 back? The 3 which kang gains back and 3 which deathlok gains? Instead I just stay on 3ap going down to 0 then back upto 3
