Does not the OP in this thread say it was simply a naming issue? It got accidentally included as part of Season when it wasn't supposed to? How do you roll that back? Somebody is gonna complain about a rollback? I dunno, wouldn't you like need to be able to manipulate time or something?

One would think removing the tag from the event would remove the points from the season.
    But who knows.

Judging by many comments coming from players programming on real life, CBS should fire their programmers, we have players who can fix anything on 5 minutes just after clearing the daily sub.

They'd probably have to hand do every transaction in the database. By transaction, I mean battle for every player across every slice for the extra event.  I'm sure it *can* be done, but the number of hours is almost surely prohibitive in terms of cost (employee pay + employee hours devoted to it) compared to the benefit (it only matters for placement for the T25 players).

Even if they did all that, players would still likely be mad at the final result because they'd rightly say, at any given moment on the final day they had no idea how many extra points someone else had from that event and that they could have played more in the IHulk event or Shield Sim to make up for a deficit due to roll back from this event.

Plus the season rewards are already handed out so you'd have to roll those back from some who would suddenly get less rewards. Imagine that uproar. In other words it's a rabbit hole no matter what they do.

Vastly cheaper to apologize and hand out 1 extra support token to the T50 or T100 players to fix anyone feeling robbed for T25 placement. T1 may have to be handled on individual case with customer service but there aren't that many slices so that could be done that way.

Did more people join an earlier shard to increase their season points?  Wonder if D3 can provide that info.

Given all the positive changes they are making and seem committed to making, I don't care. Everyone needs to chill.

i guess the new devs weren't that big of a fan to keep the transition as smooth as possible. then there are people on the forums that will give them a time cushion to work things out. here we are, 3rd PVP season and still have to find some more kinks to work out.

Lol the only thing I saw mentioned as what people lost out is "a certain portion of their day"  Not money spent or anything, just...some time.
I had to spend more in game resources defending my position, so yes it does cost me a minor amount of money. Time spent doing things I'd rather be doing than having to unexpectedly deal with the devs screwing up yet again is more valuable to me. I'd be further ahead to save the $100-ish per month I pay towards the game continuing to [kind of] run is apparently better spent elsewhere. This game is becoming more of a headache than superhero candy crush warrants.

So were there any talks about giving out compensation for this yesterday?
I'm not demanding anything because I honestly wouldn't know how to compensate fairly in this instance.

Just curious if there will be something, or just "whoops, haha, sorry".

I assume you quadruple checked that the next event doesn't have the season tag, AND that the first event of next season is labeled correctly?
    Remember, ten events per season!

Conversely, maybe if you spent $200/month (or more), the devs could hire more employees to prevent future screw-ups.

Or, treat it like the casino and assume that all money/time spent is for “entertainment only”.
