Hulkling (Dorrek VIII)
4-Star Rarity
Affiliations: Heroes, Team Cap, Young Avengers

"A king is born, but a leader is made - and a good friend is earned. Teddy's all three, whether wearing the mantle of Emperor of the Kree-Skrull alliance by birthright as Dorrek VIII, saving the day as Hulkling of Young Avengers fame, or spending a well-earned day off with his husband, Wiccan. Big shoes to grow into as a kid who thought he was 'just' a mutant, right?

But a hero's heart guides the way - all the way from ill-advised heroics that had Captain America calling his parents, to fighting alongside great heroes for the fates of Earth, Asgard, and more. Hulkling's a dynamic character, adapting to situations and fights with his shapeshifting abilities and he sure packs a punch - no wonder he idolizes the Hulk!"

    i think they spoiled who the character was based off of them saying <CENSORED> in the first power description....

    IceIX Edit: Fixed and fixed this comment. Sorry about that!

    I recognise the first power instantly: 5* Wasp. It's not an exact copy, but it's similar.

    The second power seems to synergise with Okoye.

    The third power is interesting:
    Red: similar to Echo's
    Yellow = 5* Moon Knight's green
    Purple: is unique.

    Even though there's a hint that it's a male hero, I can't tell who it is. This reminds me of Legion but this is probably someone similar to Legion's background.

    Really makes me think Hulking. Green Pride fits the character, the affiliations could be Team Cap and Young Avengers like Wiccan, that purple power feels kinda shape-shifty which would fit. You could stretch the first power's tile destruction to thematically fit his high strength, I guess. Converting team-up AP into a colored AP and stealing AP could benefit Wiccan. Can't think of who it might be otherwise.

    Wouldn't "green pride" be more proud of being green?  not just someone who's green and also proud of (something else)?

    It's pride month isn't it? So the clue is fitting for the timing.

    This character seems a great 4* with a lot of potential and versatility.
    It's the type of character I do like.
    His yellow seems a great counter for Polaris and at same time fortifying special tiles.
    His red has a lot of potential and the purple even more.
    Lot of cds and special tiles reinforcer.
    Imo it's a good design.

    Not just Polaris. But also Carnage (4 and 5* version), Sentry fighters, Mindless ones, those Ninjas that leave attack tiles when they die etc.  Lots of nodes in PvE will be made easier.

    Because the active part is what you want (clearing 3 rows and fortifying your own) the Yellow will make a great TU ability with just 1 Cover since that's all that you need to clear 3 rows.

    Gotta go with JHawk on the Baby Hulkster. Easiest clue ever unless it was a green herring . Just what everyone wanted , a partner to give Okoye more TU because she’s very under powered. Hopefully she gets rebalanced.

    That yellow passive is actually the cherry on the top for 5* players.
    If the character fires a power converts 2 TU to the strongest power, kind of like SW, and it's a really good board manipulation (and bad for okoye), but if he never fires a power that won't happen and TU matches will damage more.
    It's a win-win for any type of player, great versatility.

    There is a new She-Hulk series coming to Disney+ so She-Hulk would be another possibility.

    But *would* this character fire powers when teamed up with 5* characters? In most cases your 5* will be better off firing powers (more damage) unless there is no overlap.

    His yellow is fine in any special tiles team. His purple too, specially stealing AP.
    Indeed if there is no overlap, the better.

    Or they're with Sersi and her yellow passive. Or others I can't remember.

    Not a chance under the sun. Her show is due out August 17th. We have character releases set for June 16 and 30, July 14 and 28, and August 11 and 25, keeping the two-week pattern.

    If we get a She-Hulk, it'll be August 11th/25th (depending on if they release a 4-star or a 5-star). No way they release a tie-in for her show this early. And if they WERE going to release tie-ins early, it'd be more likely we see a Thor character first (since his film is out July 8th).

    Most likely Hulkling as others have stated. Green + pride month is pretty clear. There are two other possibilities I can think of though - Anole, a gay green X-Men character, or Xavin, a skrull who is both gender  fluid and sexually fluid. Smart money is probably on Hulkling, but considering the recent additions to the Runaways we've seen Xavin makes sense too, as she is Karolina's arranged fiancee and a temporary member of the team in the comics. Hope it's not Xavin though, just because I'm still waiting on the best two Runaways - Chase Stein and Molly Hayes.

    It's hulkling, previewable in game with the webbed wonder event. I wonder if the hulkling support will be equipable to hulkling.

    He converts 3 tu aps to one of his allies' strongest colours.

    There are errors in his green power: "18 surrounding tiles"

    One thing I want to mention is that they really want to let us know this character is created by them. :D The sentence structures of his abilities are really different. It's going to take some time to get used to this.

    Also, his yellow power reads differently from the one in this thread. I find the one in this thread easier to read.
    They also changed some of the common vocabulary/structure used in MPQ. For example:

    1) improves --> empowers
    2) fires an ability --> uses an ability
    3) gain 1 extra team up ap --> generate +1 team-up ap
    4) Hulkling's powers and matches deals 50% more damage --> Hulkling does 50% more damage with matches and abilities.

    That's the missing link. I was wondering why we are still getting ?? when in-game has shown the full detail. They are still familiarising themselves with the buttons, I guess.
