Hey all, as per usual you narrowed down the choices and largely (ha) came up with the right character, Blob! You probably *didn't* get the variant we used though, which is from the X-Tremists run!0

Wow, this look is pretty special. This could easily be a Rufus skin from Street Fighter V. It looks pretty accurate to that run, but hopefully we'll get a classic unitard costume at some point? Maybe?
I am curious to try him with Hawkeye/Polaris or BRB polaris. I'm not sure if a 5/xx build crushes enough tiles for 8 green to make him a 1* Juggernaut replacement or not.3 -

I agree the mustache looks utterly ridiculous, but I care about that about as much as... well I just don't. I don't play with animations on most of the time anyway. I am amused.

Am I right to assume that the increased match damage stacks with the number of countdown tiles that go off? If so, is there a cap on the number of stacks?
if there is no cap, then with the right team it could potentially get out of hand very quickly, boosting more than dark beast can for a 4*1 -
He destroys only basic or tu tiles. On top of that, he converts all SAP tiles at the bottom two rows every turn. 1* Juggernaut is probably the easiest winfinite.0

The CD spam means you bring Hawkeye for infinite blue, instead of Beta Ray Bill. It'd only work against an enemy spammer though, and only after they've already gone crazy on you.0

Yeah the Black looks interesting but I'm not sure when I'd ever use him. His Green only hits basic tiles, and his Yellow seems designed to counter Carbage, which I suppose is a niche use but I can think of more pressing concerns. 90% match damage reduction is nice, but how often is he actually tanking? I suppose he will if enough strikes make it to the bottom 2 rows, but if they're your strikes, you probably want their damage over Blob eventually tanking. If they're your opponents, then that's nice, but if they're spamming enough strikes that you're getting mileage out of the power, then you're probably already in trouble.0 -

Everything I said still applies to the 4* tier. The 90% match damage reduction means even less against 4* than it does against 5*. The only times it matters in 4* land is against Juggs and Karnak. Juggs AOE isn't the least bit phased and you really don't want Karnak alive long in the first place since he can really ruin your day in a hurry even with match damage resistance.
Even looking at it from the 4* point of view, he doesn't seem particularly special to me. Besides that mustache of course.0 -

All (dating-myself) jokes aside, he looks great! I love that the art team went with the modern Krakoa Tiki Bar version of Fred Dukes. His abilities look like a lot of fun to use on their own, and should have some great interactions with characters across the whole roster spectrum. Good job!0 -
Is the match damage increase for the rest of the match? Is there an upper limit? Does his yellow trigger if he is already in front?

There is seemingly no upper limit on the match damage.
but qualifying tiles at the bottom is the limiting factor.
he will do well in 4* land but he probably won’t punch up
