Patch Notes - R54 (Live 5/29)

This patch is another relatively light one on the client side. Mostly more backend improvements again, focusing on more SDK updates and further improvements to client lightness. This one is likely coming sooner rather than later, but we're not planning on launching until at least the current PVE Episode is complete.

- Fixed an issue where multiple 4 of a kind matches that were the same color being destroyed at once would not always clear all rows/columns

- New loading screen art
- Player and Alliance leaderboards now default to “Your Rank” rather than “Top Ranked”
- Fixed instances of the player/Alliance name not being highlighted correctly on the leaderboards
- Updated the screen displaying points gained in Events. These screens now more easily display the progress in parent Events as well as directly showing progress towards the next progression reward.

- Added a new sound effect for the Environment ability - Oasis.
- (Android Only) Fixed instances where music/sound effects could continue to play despite not being the active application

I'm almost certain that I only missed the "and we're fixing super-broken MMR and the 'gentle nudge' (so called)" part of the summary...
"Gentle nudge" = week of vacation leads to me starting season 2 on the last day of the third tourney and being placed in a bracket that's less than half full, but contains people who've been playing since day one of the new season = No way to get a top 100 finish = no motivation to play for the next ~3 weeks.0 -

1. When will the shield lag issue be solved? I know it raises Your income, but the description of shield is incorrect - If I buy something with my hard earned HP, I want it to work just as described. Not to be hit for -160pts a minute after I put on the shield (check out player Gumisk case).
2. When will the incorrect rewards issue be solved? We have players who left / were kicked out of the alliance after Season 1 ended, but before the rewards were given. And they didn't get their rewards, while our new members got rewards for our placement.
You have to understand - we don't want care about cosmetic changes. We don't care that much how exactly the crit tile looks like. Or if Falcon's description states that he's Modern or Mighty Avengers. We want the bugs to be fixed.
Maybe stop focusing about the revenue and do Your job properly?

Emeryt, regarding #1 if you immediately check your player rank after raising your shield it forces your game to connect to the server which let's it know your shields are raised. Since I started doing this a few weeks ago I haven't lost any points while shielded.0

Emeryt, I doubt you'll get your reply. They know they've got you on the hook no matter what. You posted a 10 point reason for why you were leaving the game and then didn't follow through. They couldn't care less how angry you are as they know you're addicted. As for your actual issues:
-Shield lag is annoying but has been part of their function since day 1, this probably won't resolve as long as your data is stored remotely
-Cosmetic changes aren't glamorous and I'm not sure why the whole update would consist only of those, but maybe it won't excelerarte the bloated size of the game too much?
-It sucks for the people you kicked that didn't get their Nick Fury. With that said, the people who left could have waited until they got their rewards to leave. As for the others, if they were contributing to your alliances overall score and deserved the reward why did you kick them in the first place?0 -

Making the check after shielding hardly makes any difference, though if you do that just before, you can shrink the window of the race condition a little bit. Guess those who want to shield at certain points do that for long as that is the only kinda reliable way to get your current score to look at the table entry after a few switches. The other 3 places are way behind and even the big number on the same panel is not refreshed.0 -

IS that a serious question? Why on earth would someone in the right mind think that rewards of a tournament are NOT handed out using the final result of that tournament?
A plenty of people were running till the end of season and were to leave just as it ends for good. It was bad enough the season got ninja-extended by 2.5 days.
Certainly people would have waited those extra few hours (btw it also beats why is there a delay in reward handout when I could manage that amount of data in less than 2 minutes 30 years ago on a Commodore 64... that was 5-6 orders of MAGNITUDE slower) if it was announced that way or just got note of the BUG in time.0 -

Wait loading screen art?
Thats not the home screen with iron man and you get to tap the screen 15 times really fast making that pinging noise because that is literally the best part of the game not close.

So IceIX, give us a teaser - this makes 2 very light releases in a row, which says to me you guys are in the midst of planning something fairly large scale. Can you offer any spoilers or hints to us, even if partial or full implementation is still a month or more out?0
