hi guys, for a friend who has only onslaugh profx and apocalypse, is this new hero good?

he has 4 green covers on thor, and well, we know thorpocalypse is fast and good in pve, and can work in the start of pvp to climb.
so he is thinking on using lt to get thor, but that means he will get covers for storm and this one.
in case he gets lots of covers for yellowjacket, is he good considering his champs?

will blue and green activate apocs buff?
also, will green double tap on apocs yellow?
    thanks

I disagree with the AI statements - I don't think he'll be completely useless.

His blue and black are likely to be the cheapest options on any team so the AI will consider them early.  Even if the black is fired before the heal is needed, because of the cheapness of all his powers there's a good chance the AI will fire another to tack on the bonus damage.

Once blue is fired the AI is also good at chasing active colors so if he tanks his colors that should be quite an annoyance with no tiles to destroy to break his invisibility.

Because his powers are cheap and his invisibility is extendable, there's also a decent chance the AI will luck into firing green while he's invisible to knock out some special tiles as well.

I agree about firing his powers in order. I had a little trouble on the day 2 wave node dying twice but once I had adjusted to how he works I aced it with barely a scratch. So I think he is going to be one of those where he is either untouchable or fails epicly if you mistimed things. He might be unpredictable in the AI hands.

One of the general rules is that AI will try to fire the most expensive power first. So, you can:

    1) team him with someone whose power costs are cheaper than his
    2) make sure nobody is using blue/black/green on your team
    3) make sure your other teammates aren't tanking his colours if you are banking on him going invisible for long.

The other rule is that AI will chase teamup tiles first followed by their strongest colour. One thing I'm not sure is whose strongest colours they are chasing. Is it randomly selected or is it based on match damage?

Apoc buffs any damage.  He will buff YJ black and green and invisibility passive without a doubt.
I think his exclusive invisibility buff will not be buffed though.
YJ will tank apoc black posibly so its a good deal althought apoc will stand taking hits when YJ goes invisible.
IMHO I think ghostpool is better than YJ.

I fought YJ today with a non AOE champed 5* character, his first move was 27 cascade including 15 in 2 strongest colors . He went invisible immediately and remained there for 40 moves until victory, winding up with even longer invisibility . I’d say the AI has him figured out

I think I had bad luck. I still can't down him with loaner Antman. After YJ went invisible, every move I make will lead to him getting a colour in either black, blue or green which keeps him invisible longer.

One interesting thing I noticed is if he's not in energised mode, you can see his eyes.

AOE is a video game term for area of effect. Any move that hits all enemies and not just one enemy.

I just played at least a 35, to 40 minute match with him in versus. Last 2 characters was yellowjacket vs yellowjacket. Blue, green and black kept rolling out continuing invisibility for both. Blue ap was maxed out on both. I finally let AI win, instantly regretting it. I really dont think the way this board was rolling it  would have ever ended.         I REALLY wish I kept playing!!. Just to see how long it could go.

Non-AOE specifically target a character, much like when you aim a pistol you are focusing on one target. AOE is basically a grenade , if you throw a grenade into a room it doesn’t matter where you throw it because everyone in that room will take damage when it explodes

I have always seen AOE as Age of Empires!

After playing his pvp,  apocalypse buffs his black and green.  All about his blue is not buffed. And of course okoye too.
If his passive cant be buffed his tier goes down a bit.
Plus he needs to be the one tanking when he goes invisible.

Except if you throw yourself covering the grenade, then its said to being able to survive.

In pick 2, your other 5* and essential will be soaking almost all the damage once he goes invisible. Unless you have a wide range of champed 5* and not healthpack strapped, it's better to tag him with someone who can true heal.

I did that just to reach another 20 CP milestone reward for matches I was 300 short

I wonder if YJ was an attempt to combat the ever increasing pace of meta. It's insane how long a match can last if he stays invisible. I am nowhere close to being a top tier player so I am unable to truly test how he might fair pro/anti meta. Thus far, Thuggernaut (4* Thanos+4*Juggs) seems to work well against him, but that's still an awfully long game. I might be skipping a lot more in PVP if YJ becomes a staple. :(

iHulk doesn't really care if YJ is invisible, provided enough green are on the board.

Blue does not look to go with Apocalypse yellow which is disappointing.  His black damage and green will though.  For your roster I would wait to see what the next 5* is before pulling.  Magneto is not very good and if the next 5* is better you can pull them. I am not sure about Warlock.
