Well, that figures.  I could use the Rescue shards to finish her.

Hmmmm....we did get 1/2 a Rescue from Playing at Home of late......possibly they shifted/delayed her for that reason?

But right now we're in no man's land because they don't like players being able to know things in advance and be able to comfortably plan.

Bolt is falling approx where he would have hit in the cycle if you ignore that the prior ones weren't correct.  After Thanos, the cycle starts again.  Surfer is usually first but he was run in April.  Wasp follows but who wants her anyway?  Then I think Loki (missing as well) and Bolt.

I could hope they are reworking Loki and Wasp and hence skipped them?  I would assume they are both rarely used so maybe they would be candidates for buffs.

Who knows?  Presumably the devs.

I have Rescue in-between Wasp and Loki. It would've been her first appearance as a Classic Essential.

So does anyone question that we are getting a new essential rotation at this point? Like I said, Thanos was the “end of the cycle”.  Note that every classic that has come around since has been giving out cover #1 when that is NOT the cover we would expect if they were up (well Bolt was on cover 1, Iron Man and Hulk weren’t). So while we don’t know what character to expect; if you are looking for a specific classic HFH cover it’s likely going to be the first one (you know... the one we get the most of anyway). 

What sucks for me is that 2 of my 5 unchamped classics were on deck (Rescue/Wasp) and their events would have finished Rescue and made Wasp finishable with a feeder. Who knows when they’ll come around again?  At the end of the day it’s Rescue and Wasp, so it’s whatever. But the completionist in me is annoyed.

I was apparently wrong about this. Hawkeye is giving the cover that would be expected when he came up in rotation (middle color/blue). So... they’ve completely thrown the playbook out the window. 

Second, it’s possible the sneak peek is dead.  And in a very D3 way, they just aren’t announcing it. The reason I say this is that usually when they come by to post the new character, they’ll update the sneak peek thread “while they’re here”. I don’t know if it’s always the case but I believe when it’s out of date that usually happens. It didn’t this time which leads me to believe they’re done. 

I remember when the devs used to stay and answer questions about new characters. I remember when something like a new event with new goons would warrant some back and forth communication. And yes I remember a time when we didn’t question if we’d get a sneak peek. The investment in community interaction just keeps dropping when I honestly believe it can’t go lower. Truly astounding.
