I actually enjoyed this event so far. I’ve never gotten to the 4* that quickly (less than an hour) with any event. Took JJ most of the way and then we I ran out of health packs used 5* daredevil, black bolt and 5* iron man. I’ve been knocked way down but I think 16 wins got me the Deadpool cover.

I am really surprised people in the 5* tier are not mentioning BRB.  He is a beast in this event.  I have multiple good 5* in the 460’s-470’s and have been  rushed when fighting BRB.  I have wreaked some to Professor X but not as much as BRB.  First his protect tiles means he takes little to no damage.  2nd he has huge health, 3rd that green hits your one character 4 times for 8k damage each.  I just started skipping.

from the 4* tier I am also surprised more people are not playing or mentioning Juggs.his match damage is increased 225% and he takes 90% less damage.  He does an extra 350 damage per turn.

I think it says more about how unbalanced the 5* tier is to be honest. Characters that do well in this event seem like good characters to transition tiers with to me.

I’ve just made the switch to mysterio. You don’t get the stun, but the invisibility and the trap matches are life savers. I’ve been taking down 5*s with him
What sort of levels are we talking about here?
Mysterio is around 275 ish, and the 5*s  I’ve beaten are around 405-450 max. I havent tried to punch to high above my weight. I’m pretty sure the thanos I took down was champed

Although, to be fair, it can take some time for the larger health pools

I started with some weak characters against seeds, and got a lot of retals, and had fun using 2, 3, and 4 star characters.  My 10 cover, level 209 Juggernaut took down 450 OML and Dr. Strange.

Then when I did the fights that were offered by my MMR, I had to use my 5 star characters, and I did not enjoy it.  As others have said, if the AI gets a big cascade, you just lose.

I think if this mode could lock out 5 stars, it would be a lot of fun.

Just don't take any fights against X-23. I fought one and got her down to about 50% dead then she got a bunch of self healing, hit her green and she matched her tracking device and then suddenly I'm almost dead and she's at like 90% health.

I've been using my girl C4rol.

5* player & Prof easily handled 900 points. Sure I spent a few heals from bad matches with heavy enemy Cascades, but I also had a bunch of turn 1 wins against champed 5* too. I thought I wasn't going to like yet another heavily restricted event as part of a season, but this one was quite fun even with other characters.

I tried 4* Carol but she was dead before my second turn. In 4* land I would really be tempted to run Iron Spider or Wiccan, but after Carol I didn't see them surviving against the 5* I was facing.

I can understand why some people would hate this since your heaviest hitters might not be so great solo. Never even tried to bring out my 468 Okoye & first node tried OML before remembering his healing wouldn't work. I'm glad I made the call to champ Prof/Storm/Iceman even though Bobby is out in the cold (pun intended) this event.

Having the weird, gimmicky pvps has been interesting & I appreciate the added variety! Not super thrilled they're included as regular season events, but they have shaken things up a bit & that's been adding a lot of fun for me!

This amazing event is refreshing. I just won 3x in a row where I had 40 AP after turn 1 all 3 matches. Especially pleasing when it's Prof X doing it.
Another win was with Doom where I used his yellow power twice and each time collected tons of black.
Great RNG is fantastic when you only have 1 enemy in the game.

** The above is meant to be humorous, but if not lmk and I'll edit it out.  **

Truly my post was going to be just about like this. And yet I've wiped many more times than I'd like to admit. Still, getting lots of play from other characters has been very fun so far, and I'm nearing 75 wins already.
Many do well solo, many do not. I agree with the characters mentioned by others, and I've had above expected results with 5* Ghost Rider, IM46, Cap Marvel, Kingpin, Black Widow, Banner, and more.

I definitely appreciate the dev's working on new PvP themes and would like much more like this, more Evergreen types, and an expanded version of the 'Families' style event.

Moonknight is a lot of fun in this one! I almost never use him, but he shines in this event. Gwenpool should be excellent as well, but my attempts against low-level 5* have not gone well - her health is just too low to stand up to match damage before she gets purple and green cranked up. I'll have to give her a try against a <300 4Carol (there's a lot out there) and see how it goes.

Riri is pretty effective in 4* land.  She seems to have won the lottery in this event:
    1. With stuns disabled, her green is a great substitute (provided you're not up against Vulture).  And given that it is one on one, this gives you an opportunity to make a few free matches to gain more AP.
    2. While her red can hit multiple targets, it doesn't suffer like other team damage moves that have been costed for the damage they deal to three enemies. In this tournament it always uses its high damage single target mode.
    3. As well as doing decent damage on its own, her blue feeds her red power.  So chasing half the colours on the board will help you get closer to firing the red nuke.

Most fun in PVP I've had in a while, especially with the variety of challengers I'm seeing in 4-star land. Mostly Cap Marvel and Chavez were my two go-tos, Got my 900 points fairly easily. Would love to see it run again.

Used lumber cap to 900, only needing a couple of health packs. Only loss was to doom and ghost rider. Both was because I fired red too early (against doom I should have fired purple to block black first, forgot that firing red drained all my aps. Against ghost rider, an early red meant instant death from damnation).

BRB I believe has the biggest hit in the game now with his green.  His blue also hits extremely hard and helps gen ap.  I saw a lot of him this event.  I’m a big fan of BRB.

GED, PX and JJ right up there.

I using 4*Jugg against 5* as his passive help reduce match damage from 5*. However, he need to take sometime to KO his enemy as he has no high direct damage power.

It has been nice to not have to face the uninspired monotony of Kitty Pryde in this event.

i'm surprised no one has mentioned IM40. No stuns = instant access to his mega AP gen.  I've also tried C4rol, Peggy, Hulkbuster, RiRi, and even Vulture. Everyone is fine; seems like almost any human should be able to beat the computer 1on1 (barring cascades).
    Self-stun is also disabled? Whoa...

Beardy Cap is the man in this event.
