Feedergate

The devs has metrics for almost everything. It's possible they have certain metric to determine how fast they should release feeder.
Back in mid? 2019, they felt they were releasing feeders too quickly. They mentioned it would be tied in to special events. However, they didn't elaborate what they meant by "special events". I think it's understandable why because they wanted to have some room to wriggle about. Once they give us a definition of "special events", players will try all means to fit the definition into any special events and demand for feeders. We have quite a number of word forensics who specialise in dissecting the words of the devs. Past scandals include words such as "neutral", "expert players" and the recent one would be "daily".
There are about 8 new 5* a year. So, if 1.1 feeder/month is considered fast, then we got to wait for more 5* to be added in to lower the average feeder rate.0 -
I consider October 2018 as the time they really pulled back on feeders. They had 2 that month, and since then we have had 5 total. Assuming one isn't coming in October that means about one feeder every 2.4 months for the past year.
At the end of October we had 29 5's and 20 feeders, so 9 were unfed.
Now we have 37 5's and 25 feeders, so now we have 12 unfed.
I suppose maybe they want the number of unfed or the ratio of unfed to be at some level? Of course if it's a % then that means the actual number will continue to rise. Who knows though, since there is no communication and everything we do is surmising and assuming and parsing language.
I would also point out that the year 2019 has had 7 5's so far and will finish with 9 (10 would be unlikely, but I suppose possible).
Anyway, it is undeniable that the number of unfed has risen this year which I suppose is what the developers intend and plan on.0 -

I look forward to the new definition of "Daily" myself which now apparently means "sometime at some point maybe". In the spirit of this I have applied this meaning to my PvE clears and look forward to collecting all my rewards after maybe possibly at some point on a "Daily" basis completing these.

My point is words can mean different thing to different people. Let's use feeders as an example.
Based on past feeders' feedbacks, one gripe is always how the feeders chosen are not "logical". Those players will argue how their choices of feeders are logical.
There are a lot of ways to look at things, but over here, sometimes people take things at face value too seriously and get hung up on that one or two words.

Saying “words can mean different things to different people” is not some great insight. It’s sort of stating the obvious. When the players hear feeders will be delivered during “special events” and they don’t get a feeder during anniversary, it can be taken a number of ways. One way is that anniversary is no longer considered a special event. We had gotten feeders in the past for anniversary, but we don’t now. That’s an interpretation. Another is that anniversary IS a special event, but they just used that “special event” reasoning as an excuse to slow down how much they give us, and backed themselves into a corner. Either interpretation doesn’t look good for them.Your interpretation of their actions (as with most of the developers actions) usually has to do with ROIs, KPIs, board meetings, shareholders, licenses, and other information that I’m pretty sure you have no real insight into (other than “they exist”, which is insight we all have and again is just stating the obvious). You tend to argue based on information that you don’t actually have or know to be true. You don’t know what Marvel is demanding, what their key performance indicators are or why they do what they do.Without any real information, we can only go on what is communicated (or many times not communicated) to us. If people are misinterpreting, then the onus is on them to clarify.
“Given that some players like to insult the devs regularly or often, I guess the devs did the right thing by not giving them feeder(s). Afterall, you don't reward bad behaviours.”
So the developers shouldn’t release feeders as a way to punish some players for criticizing them? You’ve also said in past they shouldn’t communicate because people will get upset/complain no matter what they say. If this is the sort of customer relationship you want, then that’s fine. Obviously they are catering to you. But everyone else has a right to their opinion as well. They’re not wrong for wanting a higher standard of service no more than you are for feeling okay with whatever decisions are made. Hopefully the developers are listening to all the feedback and if they don’t I’m sure people will continue to voice their options via time, money, reviews, and recommendations. Right now the “word of mouth” surrounding this game is NOT good despite your personal opinions. If they care they’ll change it. If they don’t, they won’t. But either way I’ll keep pointing out things I’m both satisfied and dissatisfied with.13 -

From Brigby:"Hey Everyone. IceIX has unfortunately been feeling a bit under the weather lately, so he hasn't been in the office to post some of the upcoming news (darn changing of the seasons), but don't worry.
There is still some more to this anniversary that we haven't revealed yet!"Just when I thought I was out, they pull me back in...0 -

This is gonna be like that time that your dad forgot about his wedding anniversary with your mom and he went to give her a present like a week later and he got the world's biggest stink-eye in response.
Then he had to go out and drop a metric ton of money on her to make up for it.5 -
So what would it take for people that were disappointed to now be satisfied, or dare I say happy with the anniversary? I find it hard to believe that announcing a late breaking Banner feeder would tip the scales, but maybe it would for some?

That would benefit the 4 and 5 star tiers and it's long long overdue.KGB2

There are many tiers to this game, but IMHO, the biggest two being 4*-land and 5*-land. The two will never see eye to eye because both tiers are so different.
Play long enough and you'll eventually see what it's like on the other side...0
