Jack had an axe to grind with a lot of people when he checked out. Think of all his work for both Marvel and DC and the millions of dollars those companies make with his creations or co-creations. None of those guys (Kirby, Lee, Ditko, etc) had any idea that what they were creating would become a billion-dollar industry.

True. But Jack's call out of Lee was personal and excoriating. Obviously it's a Jack-said, Stan-said kind of situation, but it's very apparent from interviews that Kirby didn't really see Lee as a creative and didn't even consider him a co-creator.

Please keep this thread civil, the Stan vs Jack can be hashed out in "Off Topic" if you wish to start a thread there, in the meantime, please keep this thread as a memorial.

I would like to leave a little homage here for that should have our full recognition.
Without it, we would not be in this forum. Bright man!

Comics might have come up with a thousand ways to break the laws of death, but only the grandmaster of Marvel achieved true immortality

    Forever Stan Lee✊

There was so much shade thrown in those 3 minutes, Liefeld and McFarlane are still stumbling around in the dark. That was like watching a Comedy Central roast.

I like how diplomatic they're both being, and Todd was trying to softball throw it back at Stan with "you know, WE write and draw all of it ourselves, how was it back in YOUR day?"
Stan: "I think that's the problem..."
