Is it time to do a purge of inactive coalitions?

MTG's suggestion may be to purge inactive coalitions with one member, which seems fine with a caveat that it may not actually always be possible to re-create what you had (if someone claims the brilliant coalition name you were sitting on, you can't get it back).

In any case, the core problem is a search problem.  Constant maintenance is one solution. But to me, a far more direct and painless solution seems improving the search functionality of finding a list of random coalitions, by adding a large skew towards active coalitions.
