Deck slots are a quality of life improvement. Regardless of whether we have to pay jewels or crystals or money for them, the options should exist.

Currently you can buy deck slots with either runes or crystals, it doesn't break F2P to add an extra paid option on top of that.
It's not something you "need" to the same level as Event decks (prior to having those I'd label things as broken and unplayable, but that fixed a LOT).

Paying for convenience... Well, there are levels? We need a certain level of convenience or things aren't usable. Paying for _more_ convenience on top of that level, that's normal. F2P games usually run on "time or money" principle and having to manage your decks externally increases the time part, so it's totally fine to _offer_ people something to overcome that, it's just not fine to make it _required_, they are very different.

I was suggesting $10 for 1 for every PW forever because that is a price I would _personally_ pay. I'd look at it, be slightly annoyed but grit my teeth and pay. I am NOT willing to grind for enough runes or gold to buy 1 for everyone, but I AM willing to grind a day at my job to do so.

No-one else has to if they don't want! This is just about me. I just happen to think I'm not alone...

As for buying mythics... $10 is about my limit for that too. I bought Jhoira and I'd probably buy Lyra at the same price, but I won't pay more. Including more crystals and runes and the like does _not_ increase the value for me because I'd never pay for any of those things at all.
Another thought on this -- at one point, there was a discussion about what a monthly subscription would look like.

Most people thought it would be a ticket to P2W -- however the argument was about what if it was just something that offered convenience or ease of gameplay.

What if part of a monthly subscription was 1-2 extra deck slots? Other things could be tacked on (like reduced entry to TotP), but that's another thread.
Ah. Please don't start this again.

I have stuck through every up and down of this game since it started. Also don't mind spending money here and there when I feel like it. But if anything can kill my enthusiasm or will to play it would be the monthly tax.

Yes, I used the word tax.
Why would an optional subscription fee be a tax? It’s optional.

I enjoy movies. I pay a yearly fee to get $5 tickets in Tuesday, points on my purchases which lead to cash discounts and other exclusive special offers. This is my choice — and an investment I make in my hobby.

MtGPQ is my other hobby. I would gladly pay a small monthly subscription fee or yearly subscription for special offers and conveniences that don’t give me any kind of competitive edge, but do offer me a more comfortable and convenient way (like an additional deck slot every month) to play the game. Again, this would be my choice, not an obligation for anyone who plays the game.

Taxes are mandates — it’s not a fair or accurate comparison.

Monthly subscription will be like a tax and it is an absolutely accurate comparison, if you are a competitive player.

I like playing this game, a lot. I also pride myself as being a competitive player. I have been since the start and would very much like to remain so. The current model (absence of monthly tax) lets me (and other players) be competitive and among the top players without forcing us to spend any money. A monthly VIP pass allowing the "VIPs" to get better rewards or have lower entry costs to events would give them a considerable advantage, competitively. Which means that anyone who would want to remain a top player would have to cough up some money or get used to being left behind.

Let me come clean though. I was a F2P player for the first year and a half but I have not been for quite some time now. Since then, I have spent more money on this game than any in the past and am fortunate enough to afford a monthly fee. But there is a difference between choosing to spend money or feeling forced to spend it in order to keep up.

If I couldn't be able to play competitively I'd probably quit the game. But if I ever decide to become a casual player I'd very much like it to be my own choice and NOT because I was feeling forced to step down.

I believe that implementation of monthly fee will create negative playing experience for the players who can't afford it.

Now, bugs make a lot more sense. Thanks
