please please please!!! Put support tokens in game as rewards
replace some or those things we never use in game like critical boosts or those power ups you give us for new releases
i can honestly say I’ve used those only once
And if you do, try it, it'll change your life to deal 14k+ a turn.3 -
Really!?!?!?! Supports are pretty lame......2

More Supports are welcome. The feature won't really shine until we get enough Supports that we start getting tokens more regularly (like in PVE/PVP progression...), and Red ISO values go up a little.
I will point out that the last time we had a huge vault like this that people didn't really find it tolerable until some free tokens were given out. Maybe the devs saw that as a stop-gap measure for dealing with the negative feedback, but the playerbase needs more out of this support system if they're ever going to see the positive sides of it.
Key example: people are looking at one of the bundles as "250CP for a 4* Cover", when the devs probably want us to focus on the 5k Red ISO, Master Support Token, and 3 Basic Tokens. People are judging the bundle based on the cover (and 250 CP for a single 4* is garbage) because the devs haven't done anything to make people see value in the rest of the bundle (or really created enough value for such a bundle, as people won't see what high rank supports are capable of doing until they can get them to a high level).12 -

I haven't done anything with the supports I already have... literally nothing. Not 1 riso invested. Never attached them to a character.
Five more of these things excites me about as much as a root canal.3 -
@JHawkInc
A cover has inherent value in the game. It allows access to nodes when essential. It is the main resource that we farm to get more resources from, more covers mean stronger characters and more game success.
A support token is a RNG pull which could give you just what you wanted or something you don’t care about.
People will and should judge a purchase on what they know they get, not what they could get.1 -
RNG stuff, paid stuff, RNG stuff, useless stuff, stuff i wont get before next decade...
When gaming turned into this? I was hoping for more fun, but after support were added, everything is about buyable packs, and RNG based vaults with horrible chances.
Support are being added way faster than regular characters, with what goal exactly? Right now i am using 5 of my best characters (plus required ones who are so rarely used that equipping them with supports is pointless, not mentioning that i can use RISO elsewhere) so why so many supports?
To scatter our potential drops so we wont get supports we want? To reduce our RISO from incomes (btw. thanks for increased chance for support tokens from vault - seriously) To make waiting for higher level rarity better option? Trust me, sane people wont spend a single RISO in 1*, 2* or even 3* Support knowing they will sometimes MAYBE get 4* or 5* Support with lets say 1:100 chance that Support they get is the same they were investing RISO into.
Right now i have roster full of unused (and mostly useless) characters. Do you really want to do the same with supports (now lets ignore the fact that filling Support roster with upgraded 5* Supports is like 1000 times harder than doing the same with characters)?
You did well with Shield training - required characters + required level = rewarding players for their effort/grind/investments/payments.
Also nodes in PvE (not in PvP!) with required characters do pretty much the same job. Supports will never face the same fate. Well, i hope - despite of the fact this system would make Support more useful, it would also turn this game into full P2W.
So yeah, briefly said, i dont see a positive thing about releasing tons supports (now my 4* Corvus Glaive wont get its 5* version, cuz before i get Master token, there will be hundreds of supports, reducing drop chance for Corvus to nearly absolute zero ).
Now, shameless presentation of my potential improvement for both PvP and Support: https://forums.d3go.com/discussion/71935/pvp-revamp-idea-brand-new-system#latest5 -
Great, more supports I hope I never pull from a vault0

Hell yeah! New supports on the way. Just what I needed. Woooohoooo.
Oh wait, I don't even use them cause they slow my clears down.0 -
I think I know what's happening behind the scenes here...
"Team, Old Man Logan is being used in over 10% of victories occurring in this game!"
"Nerf him."
"Team, 100% of players at the 3* tier and above have a support equipped!"
"Put 'em in the vaults."
"Didn't we FORCE players to equi-"
"Put 'em in the vaults."11 -
More terrible deals around supports.3

Poor Brigby! Can someone give him some welcome news to send to the forum?11

So about that UI fix...
It's coming right?
...right?

If all the infinity stones are available in the store, would anyone buy the deal?

Below is speculation as a person who works in the software industry and has no insider knowledge of D3/Demi or how they operate.
This probably seems disappointing because we perceive that these offers represent some kind of opportunity cost; that is, if we weren't seeing these offers, we'd be seeing some other offer(s) instead, or a Gambit nerf would be coming out that much sooner, or something.
I don't think that's actually all that true. Assuming that by now they've got their in-game store factored for high configurability, presenting the offer hardly takes any real development time at all. The greatest amount of work-time spent creating something like this would've been calculating approximately what values would be good for the deals—and as we can clearly see, they obviously didn't spend much time or effort on that side either.
Still, I don't see the need to get that worked-up about something that represents a pretty minimal effort trade-off (obviously the existence of supports in the first place is not that, but they're in now and there's no going back). Nobody's making you buy HFH offers just 'cause they exist, and if you understand that they're a bad value, then don't buy them.
(I feel a sudden urge to backpedal and explain that I do not identify as a Libertarian, Rationalist, or Objectivist, and strongly disagree with any argument claiming that e.g. privately-owned automobiles and roads provide us "strictly more options" in how we travel. It's all quite mysterious.)
I've worked for employers who attempted to implement a similar "hypothesis-driven" approach to business (other steps involved in the Scientific Method, e.g. Research, not necessarily included, and Conclusions are frequently arrived at before Results). In such cases, I (as you, dear reader, have likely guessed) tend to take a short position on this sort of thing. But, I also believe that the best way to highlight the failings of this framework is to operate faithfully within it—more faithfully than the people who are so interested in pushing the idea (not sure about D3/Demi, but where I am this is not even difficult)—and let the facts speak for themselves. If it's as bad an idea as I think, then there's absolutely no need for me to sabotage anything in order to see it all fail spectacularly. Disagree. And commit.
Personally, I intend to save the exactly 250 CP I currently have until the next "classic" 5-star cover rotates into the HFH store, because I think 50K ISO in exchange for 250 CP is an OK deal given how many 4-star characters I still need to champ, and because there is no 5-star cover they can offer that would go to waste at this point.
I do not intend to spend the same 250 CP on an offer that includes barely enough red ISO to raise my Quinjet from 30 to 40 (which, based solely on what I can see on my screen when I'm playing the game, not poring over pages of meta research, might raise my chances of seeing more than 1 weak strike tile per battle from "never" to "almost never"), a 4-star cover (instead of the 5-star cover that 250 CP usually buys), and a handful of random supports that might be duplicates of stuff I already have or might be something that I can't or don't want to actually equip on any of the characters I use. It's a bad deal for me, so I'm not going to buy it.
But then, I'm not sure how many people actually have to buy it for it to be worth the 15 worker-minutes they spent deciding the terms of the offer. If enough people do go ahead and spend the CP, maybe that represents a "buy club" or several. And that's revenue, which keeps the lights on, gets people to come back to work, and maybe produces another new feature later on.
So, that's the good and bad news. The business isn't going to go under if when this "support" rollout turns out to have been executed poorly. We get to keep playing — yay! — but this is also partly because the success/failure criteria is probably not what customers assume, intuit, or expect.5 -
LavaManLee said:JHawkInc said:More Supports are welcome.Even with the logic of "Flesh out the roster of supports for variety and healthy options", that still doesn't fit in with the painfully mean amount of red iso being given out. I don't have enough after several weeks of this feature to max out a 3* yet. Hell I think I don't even have enough for a 2*.Also gotta love the 250CP for a 4* cover. That has to be a mistake, right? Like there's an HP offer for 4* Shuri and then a 250CP offer for Black Panther - Civil War and they just got the name wrong.0
