So isn't the Season supposed to start today. The boss is up, but Shield Simulator, PVP, or Seson rewards are not up.

This is the same every season. The preview for the first event will go up a couple of hours ahead, and the Sim and Season stuff will show up when the season starts. That's at 1am in the UK, so still over 7 hours from now.

Hopefully Kraven will be one of the first reworks after this new feature. Playing him in this PVE event has reminded me of just how absolutely terrible he is, even though I have him champed.

I mean for crying out loud my 3* blade (level 180) does more damage and steals more ap per turn for 2 less ap than Kraven's blue...

And then there's his black that relies on destroying your own AP to do marginal at best damage (1600 at level 274 and 3500 when boosted) after you spend 10 just to activate it. Which means if kraven (or another black user) is your strongest you need 13ap to get the meximum effect out of this, and can only get the maximum effect out of it IF your opponent has ap in their strongest color. If not you have to settle for even worse damage or wait to use it.
Kraven isn't top tier but isn't the worst either (there's a thread on that, I still say Flaptain).

As for the black power, it should only count enemy AP.  Make on level 1+2 2 AP from the enemy's strongest pool, lvl 3+4, 2 AP from each of the enemy's two strongest pools, and lvl 5, 2 AP from each of the top three strongest enemy pools.  Change to highest AP pool if strongest is too hard to code.

Kraven’s Purple is really really good and is actually a great counter to Rocket/Gamora/Medusa. The problem with him is his other powers are absolute garbage. So once you weaken the strike tiles down to nothing, Kraven has done his job and you are essentially 3 vs. 2. And one of your characters is limping from the strike/attack tile damage. I like to bring X-23 to help with that as she can heal up from the initial punch to the face, but now you’ve got not one but two characters on your team that opponents would LOVE to face as they are lower tier “easy pickens” So you probably get knocked down way faster than you climb.

At that point why not bring your own mirror team that will at least strike fear in the defense? Or The Rulk/Carol counter?  At least those characters can stand on their own without a “gimmick”.

More like 2v2 after that point, since Grocket basically did everything they're going to when they put those Strikes down at the start. Not arguing that Kraven doesn't need work, but Grockamoradusa also has the issue of a character who's largely irrelevant once the match really gets going.

I thought about that, but that green is disgusting and if the match drags (neuter the special tiles) he’s much more likely to get it off. And once on the board it’s super hard not to take that nuke.

Unless you're the computer that is. In which case the tile will be eliminated the turn after it's put down by a match 4 that just happens to clear out the row it's in.

    • The Infinity Gem Seasons have been updated to Infinity Stone Seasons, and their colors have been updated.

So, previously the Time season was orange, as per the Time Gem in the comics. Now, the Time season is green, as per the Time Stone in the MCU.

Except Jubilee's PVP is still orange. Oops.

EDIT: Looks like it turned green when the event went live? Anyways, now all is well.
