I still think that even as Oktagon is going forward (since we indeed are very far behind in terms of Ixalan), we should still have Tamiyo given that you've managed to cram Nicol Bolas in the game.
@[arNero]  "Cram Nicol Bolas?" How so? Nicol Bolas is part of the HOU storyline .... tamiyo certainly is not.

I suspect that you meant Elspeth?

Elspeth indeed is a strange addition, but I won't talk much about her right now.

Anyway, about what I said about Oktagon cramming in Nicol Bolas, it mostly stems from the fact that many people have previously feared that due to how the game works, a three-color planeswalker would be utterly busted, a sentiment which was backed up by Tamiyo being left out of Eldritch Moon despite the fact that we have every other Planeswalker in the block (Jace, Arlinn, Sorin, Nahiri and Liliana). And yet, now we have Bolas in, proving that power level isn't as major an issue as it was suspected when it comes to making three-color planeswalkers. Plus, this means that while SOI block lost one planeswalker (and BfZ 2), Kaladesh and Amonkhet block managed to get all their planeswalkers out.

Sure, back during Oath they left out Chandra and Nissa, which indeed was a bit bummer, but at least those two girls have seen enough of their variations in the game that missing out one version each doesn't seem like a big deal (especially Nissa and her 3 versions, although I do hear Kaladesh!Chandra sucks, according to people). This is a different situation from Tamiyo, who only has only one appearance post Origins (I know there are quite a few planeswalkers who are taken from before Origins, but most of the time that's before Tamiyo became discussion topic)

Gonna slightly derail this topic just to say:

Chandra 2 COULD be good. She has good mana gains in 2 colors, and has okish hp.  But she has the worst abilities of any of the planeswalkers in the game.

I'm fairly confident that Oktagon didn't "cram Nicol Boals in the game" so much as they polished him up and made him presentable after Hibernum started the job.

I'd agree with this sentiment. G3 and J3 are both great examples of how all of the +5/+4 variants of the Gatewatch PWs should have been done, because they have broadly relevant abilities and excellent mana gains. The problem with C2 is that she's tied to a mechanic that is, by and large, completely worthless at this point. You really have to lean heavily on the Energize mechanic to make her even sorta worth using, and that typically requires two to three mythics (I used Lightning Runner, Gonti's Aether Heart, and Dynavolt Tower).

Yep. Ability 1 potentially hurts you as much as it helps you. Ability 2 is her best one, but it requires either you or your opponent to use energy cards. Relying on her first in order to use her second is very inefficient and expensive in terms of loyalty. And her third suffers the same problem, and is nowhere near as good as Ob's or even Tezz2's.

Simply put, she needs a revision. Any ideas?

What  about Changing loyalty 1 to: give each creature "when this creature attacks, energize 3 gems?"
