Glaring Omissions

We've got Rogue, with Gambit and Nightcrawler coming down the line. Three heavily requested characters... basically the entire time I've been playing (getting close to day 900). There's a lot of fanfare with it, because it's a big deal that they're finally here.

So who's next? Who could they add that would trigger that thought of "Finally." Someone you're surprised isn't' already on the roster of 140+ characters. Not just someone you really want to see, but someone that feels suspiciously absent.

I'll list a couple I think of, but I'm of course curious as to what everyone else thinks as well.

First is Hank Pym. Ant-Man, Giant-Man, Yellowjacket, Goliath, I'm surprised we haven't seen ANY version of him yet, given that he's a founding Avenger.

Second, there are STILL some X-Men that feel left out. I mean, you could really keep adding X-Men for ages before they ran out, but there are some that immediately spring to mind as possibilities to add after Nightcrawler. Angel (and/or Archangel) as an original member and Kitty Pryde as a long-time member are the first two, then maybe Emma Frost. (you could add a handful of classics, or modern day, or New Mutants, or X-Force, or members of the Brotherhood, or any other X-related group, but those three are the ones that I think feel most like they're "missing", you know?)

Third, a handful from the cosmic side of Marvel, but I'll admit I don't know this side of Marvel as well. I could make suggestions (Richard Rider? Adam Warlock? Quasar? Beta Ray Bill? etc), but wouldn't be the best to determine which ones are more significant to Marvel overall.

So what do people think? Who are the glaring omissions, in your opinion? Not just characters you want to see, but characters you would expect to find, or would be surprised to not find, if you weren't already aware of the current roster?

I'd still like to see some of the better-known villains from the classic X-Men and Spiderman days:

Omega Red (the day this guy hits I will whale the snot out of him I don't even care)

Holocaust/Nemesis (not sure if truly classic but I remember him really well)

Kaine (could be hero or villain I guess)

We've gotten a couple of the classic Spidey villains lately (Vulture & Sandman) which is nice, but the overall lack of villains is still kind of weird.

I'm not sure there are many other Marvel characters I'd really want.

Maybe a cooler version of Doctor Doom (I'd be happy with God Doom). I'd like to see Rescue show up (2* Iron Man?).

Oh and obviously Dazzler.

I think it's very odd that Namor is missing. He's as iconic as there comes in the Marvel Universe.

STOPTHIS

While I'm glad the X-Men are back in the game, I don't want the next few months to be nothing but X-Men. There's a lot of great characters there, but there's also a ton of **** ones too. Gambit's already made the cut, Cable will probably for Deadpool 2 as well. No one needs Rachel Grey though. That said, Kitty, Emma Frost, Sabretooth, and as much as I don't care for him Angel should make the cut. And of course Dazzler.

The game needs more cool villains. Namor (I know he's not always a villain, but I like him the most when he's being an ****) is a huge omission. As is a good Doom. Red Skull and Mandarin should be shoo-ins, but something tells me we'll never seen for sensitivity reasons. MODOK would be awesome as well. While I'm hoping and assuming we'll get Hela for the upcoming Thor, Enchantress and Titania would also make for some nice female villains. There's still plenty of Spidey villains that should be in as well. Surprising that Purple Man hasn't made it in seeing as he's rather well known now.

I hate to see great suggestions only think that we'll have to wait for some movie or TV show to get them. I'm sure we'll get Hank Pym for Ant Man and Wasp. Adam Warlock for GotG 3. Maybe Valkyrie for Thor 3. And maybe, jusy maaaaaaaaaaaayber Jessica Jones for season 2 of her show. But what's it going to take to get Richard Rider Nova, Beta Ray Bill, Union Jack, or US Agent in the game?

Also Darkhawk. Me and like 3 other people would be super stoked.

I'd love to see some New Mutants, Generation X, & X-Factor characters: Cannonball, Dani Moonstar, Magik, Sunspot, Wolfsbane, Warlock (w/ Cypher), Chamber, Husk, Jubilee, M, Strong Guy, Multiple Man, Havok, Polaris, Longshot, Shatterstar, and Rictor would be appreciated.

I don’t know about up coming characters but I think it’s time they ditched some of the story modes as they just aren’t that much fun 

Sabre tooth would be a good villain to bring in though

My list that I really want is pretty short. Jessica Jones, Kitty Pryde, and Namor. I really think if they ever start up 6*, Namor should be the first. He's the oldest Marvel character who's still really a thing, and well, he's just awesome.

I'm surprised we haven't seen Red Skull, Shadowcat, or a better version of Dr. Doom (by far Marvel's best villain) but honestly most of the major Marvel heavies are well-represented at this point, though I also agree with many above that Namor and Hank Pym are odd omissions.

The cosmic side of Marvel is interesting, more interesting than DC I think. The major cosmic-y players they could add are Captain Marvel (the male kree version), Adam Warlock, Nova (Richard Rider), Nova (Frankie Ray), and maybe even Gladiator or Super Skrull. I'd like to see a boss event featuring Celestials, they're pretty cool cosmic-scale characters. I thought they missed the boat with the Galactus boss event and included a couple of his better herald's as sub-bosses (Terrax the Tamer, Firelord) but I don't think they need to be playable characters.

I'm also still waiting for 6-star Dormammu.

Oh, and Dazzler. My alliance commander really wants Dazzler.

At this point maybe they're waiting for season 2 of her own show to come around, but it's still bizarre that Jessica Jones is missing. All the Cages, Fists and Daredevils, and they've continued to ignore the fourth Netflix show. It's just odd, considering how much of the content is tied to other Marvel releases. And personally I thought it was the best of the four shows, as well.

Adam Warlock's arrival in the MCU was teased at the end of GOTG2, so I fully expect a 5* version of  him to come to MPQ when the next GOTG film is released.
