Annoying terminology.

Today I've been playing for one year. While that doesn't make me an entity it still is credible enough for me to go all like "...what?" when people use their own odd dictionary when referring to things in the game.
The worst things I've seen (mostly on Facebook):
5. Medals, instead of CP.
4. Chests, instead of vaults.
3. Coins, instead of HP.
2. Poster, instead of cover.
1. Orbs, instead of tiles.
I also chudder at "toons". But that's not entirely wrong per se since there is no absolute definition in the game of what to call them.
That's all. Feel free to add to this.

Cards instead of covers.
Epics instead of 5*s.6 -
People have used the word "toon" in every multiplayer game I've ever played and I've never not hated it with the fire of a thousand suns.
What is it even supposed to be short for? Cartoon? WHAT ARE YOU SAYING.10 -

The first is device-dependent, the second just fun, the third just lazy.
Chudder away.
BTW, add "chudder" to the list.
(tinykitty is "chudder"?)
Clearly a cross between shudder and chunder (to vomit).

Funny that you mention that, when I've seen that typo for "Rogue" a dozen times already.3 -

Facebook, a new character is introduced.
Comments that follow:
"pls gambet"
I've seen it frequent enough to start believing that's actually what he's called in the comics some places in the world.
Long ago Daredevil was "Demonen" in Sweden (in my uncle's ooooold comics) so Gambet isn't that far fetched as an actual variant. But I still hate it.5 -

Toons makes me wince every time I see it. I also hate Rare, Legendary and Epic instead of the * rating, because I have to stop and think every time. Thinking has no place on the internet.
I can't abide mis-spellings of characters' names. The worst sufferer is poor old Phoenix, though I imagine Rogue will be giving her a run for her money soon. Honourable mentions go to Elektra, who doesn't have a C in her name, thanks all the same, and Kamala Khan. Not Kahn. Seriously. I do a Shatner every time I see that.6 -

I just accept the use of whatever words. I've heard toon used in too many different games to care at this point... I don't use it myself though.0 -

Double yes!!! I have no idea what a 'toon' is either.Jarvind said:What is it even supposed to be short for? Cartoon? WHAT ARE YOU SAYING.
Oh, here we go:From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia:
Toon is a term popularized by the 1988 film Who Framed Roger Rabbit; it commonly refers to distinguish characters appearing in cartoons from regular humans.0
