What happens to HOU collection? Is this ok?

    Brigby stated this in the Hour of Devastion Gallery thread on Aug 28th, "Hi Everyone. I just spoke with the team, and it appears that they are working on a new patch that will update the HOU boosters to contain the new available cards. Apologies for the inconvenience."

    followed by this post in the same thread a few days later on Aug 31st, "Unfortunately I don't have any additional information beyond the fact that they're still working on the patch. There are lots of technical items that need to be addressed during this developer transition, so the team has a lot on their to-do list, alongside this patch.

    I know this transition phase hasn't exactly been the most comfortable period of the game, per se, but I appreciate everyone being so understanding and patient of the situation. "

    I don't know how to tag a post in here so if you doubt, go look for yourself. It wasn't hard to find.

    According to this page, which was posted yesterday and sent to our inbox, it will be in 2 weeks. I will await confirmation of this from @Brigby before counting on it though. Since this is the first firm timeline we've been given on a new feature since the new developers came on, hopefully it is accurate.

    The sent Inbox message is correct. The rest of the HOU collection is anticipated to be implemented into the game in about 2 weeks.

    Please @Brigby speak with support they do not read the customers ticket emails, unless my last one.

    I opened a ticket because the special offer of two premium packs and a white booster for 600 crystals bought after the ad of new HOU cards appeared in the app, do not include the new cards as after bought it went to old HOU cards banner in vault instead of the new one with all cards. Before bought it I only had in vault the new banner with all the cards and that's why I dared to buy the special offer.

    My ticket text:

    I have waist 600 crystal to buy your special offer of 2 premium packs and a white booster after seeing your ad saying that new card were available in vault. When I bought the special offer the premium packs booster appeared in the old HOU banner where there are no new cards.
    New cards can only be get by buying the boosters from the new HOU banner. The rewards HOU boosters also appear in the old HOU banner without new cards on them

    Support's answer to my ticket:

    Greetings D3 Go! Customer,

    Thank you for contacting D3 Go! Customer Support.

    Unfortunately, there is no guarantee that you will obtain Rare cards or Mythic cards when redeeming booster packs or special offers from the vault. There is also no guarantee that you will receive cards that can be used by your favorite Planeswalker(s). Each booster pack will generate the cards received at random, based on which cards are available from the booster pack purchased. Please keep in mind that each Booster Pack does not affect the outcome for any following pulls, and that each Booster Pack has their own percentages for drops.

    We are truly sorry to hear that you were unable to receive the cards you were looking for, and we hope that you have better luck in the future. However, there is little we can do regarding this issue. We understand your consternation regarding the drop rates, however please note that drop rates are indeed random and are working correctly. As such, we will be unable to take any further action regarding this issue.

    If you require further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us again and it will be a pleasure to help you.

    As you can see support did not read my ticket, I never mention in it anything about mythics or rares, I just ask about new HOU cards in vault.

    This is actually not a mistake I think.

    The 600 crystal promotion has never covered new promotional packs.

    Before I bought the special offer there were no other banner to get the HOU cards that the one with new cards, it was easy to think that any HOU booster was going to be opened from there.

    Arguably it is somewhat misleading though. I can see how someone would think they were getting the promotional packs if those are the only Hour packs appearing in the Vault at the time. I just always assumed it didn't work that way since we rarely get nice things anymore. You could probably figure it out from that button that shows where a card can be obtained too.

    The other items in the Specials section in the Vault specify how many times they can be bought and the bundle doesn't, so I can see why that is surprising.

    If I recall correctly brigby, a similar complaint was made the last round of promotional HOU packs.

    The whole "incorporating cards slowly" system is dubious to begin with and once again encourages spending instead of actually aiding the players - especially when we are talking about *very good* cards not being released initially. I am looking here at the rare God spells cycle (with Hazoret's Undying Fury and Kefnet's Final Word being chase rares imho), and Hours mythic cycle of course.
    If it were to truly aid the players in chasing cards, it would've been better to actually split the set into three different offers - this sort of narrows the card pool so that players can go for the cards they are interested in.
    Now since those rares don't seem to be available, whoever didn't get anything from that batch in the short time it was available are stuck in terms of card collection. 

    Probably having promotional packs available via the 2x Premium Packs offer (which I find being a total nonsense right now) would be great. Right now I am sitting on a lot of packs waiting for the new cards to be incorporated as it already happened with the previous sets.

    I am curious if the event rewards include any of the rares outside of the initial HOU set of cards... I already have all rares from that batch. I'm still waiting to get my hands on Kefnet's Final Word which makes the rare reward a good incentive for me.

    As far as I have seen, they do not at this time. This should have been expanded last month but it's the new devs ramping up. In the meantime we are in autopilot. There's a third wave that probably was originally planned to launch last week when they reran the second wave for crystals only. This is going to make that third wave even rarer than usual. 

    At least this round HOU is a distinct set though and you didn't get it interspersed with AKH packs like the other blocks.

    Yes, because in that moment there were no other way to get/buy HOU boosters in the vault.

    Rather than trying to "trick" people into spending money by staggering cards and such, it would be better and more honest if spending a "certain amount of money" would guarantee owning almost all cards.
    There _are_ people who will spend this and it's better for d3go if they are permitted and encouraged in this. But the current system does not even make this possible, it acts in bad faith to even the most devoted customers.

    On top of @rafalele 's example, I also think that HOU rare rewards don't contain the second and third wave HOU rares. I asked this to the people in my coalition and it seems no one has received one of these rares as an event reward. So... not only do we receive more dupes, the second and third wave HOU rares are somewhat on mythic level when looking at how to acquire them.

    @Brigby: how is D3 going to handle this? It seems very unfair to get the same rares awarded over and over again because a bug in the system doesn't award all the rares that should be available. How about every player gets a non dupe HOU rare as compensation ;-)? Of course this should be one of the said rares.
