1 - Spidey (three colors with decent use vs. Juggs 2)
2 - Ares (surprisingly hard to choose in the 2* tier)
3 - Fist (so much punch; I dislike using/fighting against Vision)
    4 - Iceman (best 1 v 1 toon in the ENTIRE game!)
5 - Doc Ock (just kidding, I don't know what I'm doing in the 5* tier, but I'm rooting for the guy)

I know she's hated by most, but Riri isn't a bad choice for 4*s.  Blue accelerates into a very strong red, plus the green is a mini stun as well.

And if I had to choose from my roster, she's my highest level 4*.

    1* - Juggs
    2* - Daken
    3* - Daken
    4* - Elektra
This is assuming the AI will be playing my team and I get the benefit of crazy cascades fo Daken.

    1* Juggs
    2* Ares
3* Daredevil, his cheap stun lock easily makes him a 1 v 1 god
    4* Iceman
    5* New Spidy

Riri's gone from being a squishy with 2 good powers and a highly conditional 3rd power to a decent tank with 3 good powers. Nothing to hate now except if you don't like her story. :)

    I'm going with:
1* Juggernaut. Yes, his red hurts, but his damage is nice!
2* Magneto. The Purple/Blue self combo comes in handy for short term damage and long term board clear.
3* Daredevil. That blue stun is nasty. The red match for either yourself or the opponent is too reliable. And anyone trying to use tiles can get got by that purple.
4* X-Force Wolverine. More of a sentimental pick, as he was my first 4* champion. But I DO love me some Surgical Strike!
5* Hawkeye. A cheap blue hitter.

1* - Juggernaut, for reasons already covered
2* - Thor, for his self-feeding ability and decent damage
3* - Daredevil, because stuns rule in 1-on-1, and his is quite good. Especially if you get two tiles out.
4* - Iceman. Absolute no-brainer, he's the best 1-on-1 in the game. In fact, in a 1-on-1, I'd take a 370 Iceman against any 550 in the game except Black Panther and...
5* - Black Bolt, the king of toons. He's simply the best character in the game and would wreck anybody 1-on-1.

    1 Juggs
    2 ares
    3 cyclops
    4 cyclops
5 gambit with the AP generation he will be firing power over and over again.  I would also put black widow black bolt up there as tough 1V1 opponents

3* and 5* have to be Gambit now. This character does not suffer from a bad board, has cheap powers, and at least the 5* version can nerf any special tile creator, including Thanos, OML, Phx, Banner, Ock, DD, etc., etc.... Also benefits from Bolt's charged tiles.

I'll still take Iceman as my 4*. That cheap stun pretty much locks out the other toon. His other powers are still better than Gamora.

Yeah, I'll edit one of my choices. 1-on-1? Give me Rogue.

Rogue ain't doing much of nothing when she's stunned for 4 turns.

Neither is your stunner when they can't gather the AP they need.

Against Iceman, Rogue will be blocking Green, not Blue. And his Purple even accelerates his Blue.

And Peggy would stun Iceman, and Carol would strike tile Peggy to death, and X-23 would just heal from Carol, and Sandman would just... well, I don't know what Sandman would do.

I thought Rogue would be a good character to choose in a 1-on-1 tourney. I didn't realize I was picking someone to beat a 1-on-1 Iceman tourney.  :p

As long as we're getting so technical, the AI would be controlling Iceman and would chase his strongest color (green) to no avail! While Iceman spun his wheels in the proverbial AP mud Rogue would flatten him with a wild haymaker.

(Or she would lead with her chin as she often does and get her bell rung.)
