And if that (animal) won't sing, Momma's gonna buy you a diamond ring.0

The clue simply gives you the diamond (as opposed to saying "Graphice: C(s, graphite)" and referring to a different form of carbon). Could it be referring to the complex structure of diamonds? No, because these clues are funny little references, teasers meant to get you thinking, but not necessarily meant to be solved (see the one where we took the clue "Stop me if you've heard this one" and found a Spidey comic with Doc Ock, and were later informed that it simply meant "stop" as in "stop sign" as in "stop signs have 8 sides and Doc Ock has 8 legs").
Once you've got diamond, you just figure something out that fits. Diamond body of Emma Frost? Way too obvious. Sparkle of diamonds possibly meaning Dazzler? Same (plus a step closer to wasting a spot for X-Men people actually want on Dazzler because people think it's funny to make joke guesses every release).
The "diamond" clue is WAY more likely to refer to a married couple than one of those. Jessica Jones? Bobbi Morse? Hank Pym? Madelyne Pryor? Betty Ross (Red She-Hulk)? Rescue (Pepper Potts)? Numerous others in the game? (like a Storm variant from when she was married to Black Panther?)
But people have jumped on the lullaby because they already know who the character will be, and it happens to fit.0 -

But people have jumped on the lullaby because they already know who the character will be, and it happens to fit.Hush, little baby, don't say a word,
Mama's gonna buy you a mockingbird.
And if that mockingbird don't sing,
Mama's gonna buy you a diamond ring.Presumably, the "diamond" clue is meant to point us towards Mockingbird, because of this lullaby.
But the reality is that people knew it was going to be Mockingbird because information is leaked like crazy, and once they saw the clue was about diamonds, googled the two, and found the lullaby, and claimed to have solved it.
The clues are usually vague, to make us speculate, where multiple characters could be the "right answer" (it's also a way to get people to say who they "hope" it will be, to gauge interest in how excited people would get about potential characters), and it's rarely as black and white as "diamond clue -> lullaby -> it's Mockingbird."

Why nerf Colossus when he needs to be boosted?3
-
I know star rating isn't a measure of super-power, and Coulson was both novel & powerful, but it's a shame to be getting more 'mundane' 4-stars (I assume) characters when so many iconic heroes & villains are absent.
The likes of Black Cat or Madame Web would have been great continuations of the current theme.0 -

I mean, I don't know how you're meant to glean the character's name from diamond. It would be like bringing Rescue into the game with the clue "Message in a bottle". You know, because it was sung by Police. And the Police are an emergency service. And they rescue people. Hell, even that felt more logical than diamond meaning this character. Diamond could mean anything!
Also, jokes on you, I actually happen to want Dazzler in the game.

And I'll be honest, I want Dazzler too. But I can name a dozen X-Men I'd rather see before her, easy. And if she's included because people obnoxiously suggest her as a joke every single release, it'd be a waste of a spot.0 -
DarthDeVo said:Not to mention the fact that she hasn't been on the series since sometime in season 3 in 2015-16, since the spinoff series Most Wanted wasn't picked up. I thought when that happened they would bring Bobbi and Hunter back sometime last season, but no luck. Maybe they'll be back in season 5.
I don't follow the comics so much, is she part of a major arc right now, or one coming up?

So Mockingbird I guess. What will her powers be?1
