    Thanks @brigby for the tips!

I'll'do the comment search (it's'my way of keeping up with the rednames)
Edit:  oh, a thing for the devs to make, the option to see the thread title in the comments and to jusmp to the post!

The star thing isn't'exactly what i'd'use though. i tend to skim the boards, and if i see a thread I posted in i'll'ckeck what happened after. but i wouldn't'want my inbox overflowing with notifications.

Oh a question:  how does one link to a specific post in a thread?

    Thanks!

In the blue title bar of a post (or red for moderators), click on the time at the right of the bar and it will open on a link to that post.

    @andrewvanmarle

The comments actually do contain the thread title and its url. Unfortunately right now it's white font on white background, which the designer is aware about fixing, but if you highlight it, then you'll be able to see all of that information!

When I edit one of my posts now I'm in jail, I get that warning telling me that I can't post for 150 seconds, but the edit is still accepted.

[edit] Also, is 150 seconds enough? Usually I'm happy to sit around waiting for the timer to count down to post something snarky, although it does have the effect of making me not bother giving genuine replies to new users, or add information to bug threads, or things like that.

I find the dark blue text on a black background difficult to read.

This thread is showing up as New regardless of how many times I click on it.

Possibly because it has been moved to a different forum, but linked back to here?

    Thx!

Also: MARK ALL VIEWED does not refresh the screen.

Can there please be a notification option to receive only one notification per topic/discussion? It'd make things way easier.

If you use the @ notification in your signature would that ping the person every time you posted?

Probably. It works when you're quoted in a thread, for example.

If a person were so inclined they could put @ (insert red name here) in their signature and make sure that person see every post they make. Assuming they have notifications turned on.

    Interesting.

Yeah, this works. I've been pinged a few times by people specifically mentioning may name, and not in a direct quote.

I'm super tempted to put some random dudes name in my signature and see if they get pinged every time I post. Gave me a good giggle.

For instance if someone were to quote someone else in their signature and be sure to credit them.....

But you know if we start doing it they will take the mentions from us because we abused them.
