I wonder if whatever change they made resulted in having a "better" distribution of players in accordance with their roster. So now players with low tier rosters can no longer hide in low MMR bubbles with high points. I didn't get a good look at my top 10 to check.
  • I'm going to give it another tournament before I decry foul more than I already have, I have wonder if the high level of the boosted hulk was a factor. I'm hoping it was. If they have gone into a "You must have X" in your roster before we allow you go higher than Y system, then i've instantly become a second class citizen and I no longer have any reason to push or even spend any money.

Becasue lets face it. Buying token packs early on is good way to go from one star to two star rosters. Going from 2-3 Not so much.

I suspect that you're matched up more against roster strength than against MMR and point totals. I noticed lots of unleveled 2*'s at the beginning of the Hulk tourney. Then max 2* rosters. Then after a certain threshold, a lot of 3* rosters.

This would also explain getting queue'ed up opponents that were anywhere from 3 to 43 points.
  • It would have been nice for the devs to mention the changes to the MMR, since it's an integral part of gameplay.
Not mentioning changes to such a fundamental function of the game is inexcusable.

Whatever the changes are - for better or worse - we are left here scratching our heads wondering what the hell is going on.
