Lvl 59 Tezz:
Creature 6
Spell 5
Support 6

White +2
Blue +3
Black +3
Red +1
Green +0

Ability 1: (9) Energize 4 + Fabricate 2
Ability 2: (12) Summon that 4/4 living construct from Tezz 3.3
Ability 3: (18) Create a support that deals X damage to opponent when a support you control is destroyed (mine says 8 damage at level 3)

I'm trying to strike the perfect balance with Baral and energize overload. That second ability together with the right supports keeps pumping the board full of energy.

Was thinking Marionette Master but she doesn't fit with Baral, so I have to choose one or the other for now. Might switch strategies for fun later on.

Love the concept and I can see how the entire purpose is to shift the meta.

Not going to argue about power creep this, nerf that. I just like that he's completely different and will hopefully force players out of their current optimized grief decks.

Why would you when you're paying to win?

You do realize that nearly everything in the game can be purchased with currency right? That means everyone is paying to win. You either pay with free time, or you pay with overtime dollars. It's up to you. I choose to be more productive in life and skip the grind. You can do the opposite if you like, but as long as everyone has access it's fair game.

Like you I'm interested in how this could be played very differently to some other PWs.

I'm personally looking forward to trying a clue/Fabricate destruction deck with Marionette Master and maybe Syndicate Trafficker for lack of anything better. At the moment I'm thinking:

    Creatures:
    Marionette Master
    Syndicate Trafficker
    Startled Awake

    Spells:
    Behold the Beyond
    Crush of Tentacles
    Inner Struggle
    Imprisoned in the Moon

    Supports:
    Tamiyo's Journal
    Prism Array
    Sword of the Animist
    Ongoing Investigation (maybe?)

Those plus Tezzeret's third ability could prove to be interesting. If I had Padeem I'd probably replace something in there with him, and it's a pity that Pia Nalaar and Oviya Pashiri aren't the right colours for this deck.

The funny things about Tezzeret is that he was already going to be broken by BtB+SA even before Baral came along.

Kudos to the devs on inflating his mana gains, tho, otherwise he might not look too broken to newbies.

    Out of interest:
For what cards do the abbreviations BtB and SA stand?

Oh, wow, I just looked at the cards and I can just agree.

Startled awake seems to cheap on it's own for what it does, IMO.

At least this planewalker is limited by 5 spells and is harder to use Baral with infinity spell loops. But I like how it can use black and blue. This combination is my favorite in paper MTG.

    I will say, though...

At least they finally fixed the text on the Living Construct card..

"At the beginning of your turn, Fabricate 1. Overload 1: This creature gets +1/+1".

Thank whomever for fixing that before releasing this PW...
  • Well, there goes the Not Another Dime movement. Actions speak louder than words, and buying Tezzeret is basically saying "Yeah, do whatever you want to me. I'll still give you money." Lol

    Guess I'm done for good.

this was corrected since the last update and in the
ratc event that followed. it just took a back seat
with everything else that happened with that
    update.

    Finally a fabricating PW. Cool.

No to wait till he comes out for crystals so I don't have to give D3H any real money.

As a fellow whale, I'm not buying him. Stay strong!

I was also curious about seeing how many people are going to be able to control their urges when the feet are put to the fire...

Based on what we're seeing, he's got a total of +9 in mana bonuses.

    Look at other recent planeswalkers:
    Nissa, Vital Force
    manawhite.png +3
    manablue.png 0
    manablack.png 0
    manared.png +2
    managreen.png +4
    Total of +9

Liliana, the Last Hope (similar distributions are on new Chandra and Jace)
    manawhite.png 0
    manablue.png +4
    manablack.png +5
    manared.png 0
    managreen.png 0
    Total of +9

    Nahiri, the Harbinger
    manawhite.png +4
    manablue.png 0
    manablack.png -1
    manared.png +4
    managreen.png +1
    Overall +8 when black considered.

Yes, he's stronger than most other dual-colored planeswalkers, I'll admit that, and yes all these planeswalkers are a far cry ahead of the total bonuses of +5 from the origins planeswalkers, but he seems about in line for current planeswalkers in general.

Pretty easy here. My former mobile gaming budget transitioned into my "let's keep the website up" budget a few months ago.

If you put up a donation link, I'd definitely contribute--and I bet a lot of us in the community would as well. If you'd be concerned that would be perceived as greedy, it wouldn't. You've poured a ridiculous amount of energy and time into this project and I for one believe you deserve more than a pat on the back.
