It would be crazy if Mattew actually is an active member here, but couldn't do anything because of his official capacity or something and was just like biting his nails waiting for someone to have this exact idea.

I have nothing even remotely sarcastic to say about this thread. Thx, Lagartha.

Terrific job Lagartha! Takes quite a bit of courage to march into a big corporation like that and ask to speak with someone. I am very impressed regardless of if it yields any fruit!

    Kudos to you friend!

    To Lagartha

    Offtopic:

To answer your question yes and no. It depends on what part of Renton you are in. I grew up in the Highlands just off of SR900 and Coal Creek Parkway near Hazen High School. It wasn't too bad up there when I lived there but that was over a decade ago and there has been a ton of development. Other parts of Renton are kinda notorious for being crime spots. Downtown on Rainier or areas near Skyway have some gang activity. There used to be a large gang called the Skyway Soldiers 20 years ago or so. What part are you in if you don't mind me asking?

Thank you for taking it upon yourself to brave the doors of a corporation, and i am impressed to hear you were treated with respect and dignity. This experience is truly a tribute to the brand name.

I also hope you put in a few kind words for brigby. Heavens knows he deserves a raise after this.

I've played mtg tcg since high-school and I've always known Wizards is a great company. I just had faith that they cared more about their player base than how we feel like we've been treated lately.

It was a total shot in the dark, but I'm glad I took it. I figured anything is better than standing idly by and watching the game take a nose dive.

That being said, I also don't think the folks at Hibernum and D3 want this game to fail either. I don't think they're terrible people who WANT to screw over their players. Their idea of what success looks like it's a little different from what we think it should be and there's just too big of a disconnect from those companies and the community for everyone to win right now. Maybe now we can fix that gap.

You should go in dressed as Baral...introduce yourself as Baral...and tell them you hope they cleared their schedules, because this is going to take a VERY LONG TIME.

Thanks, Lagartha! I was very skeptical as I figured there's minimal involvement from Wizards, and I'm more than happy to be proven wrong! Hopefully this will do something!

That's a good perspective to take. Did you get any sense that they were going to discuss this with the team at d3?

Oh, absolutely. I'm very confident the Wizard that I spoke to was sincerely empathetic to the general feelings of the community. I'd also venture to say he already shot off an email to them since a mod here has already reached out to me to get feedback on what kind of communication might be helpful.

Though that could have just as easily been because of this post that said I've already spoken to Wizards of the Coast.
    ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Either way, I'm going to be stupid amounts of optimistic about the whole thing and keep advocating for change. XP

This is really great. If they ever shut this game down lets all as a community move together to play a new one

    Lagartha,

What was the address of the office? Maybe we can all make it a point to drop by whenever we are in the area.

Firing off some emails and letters to WOTC definitely seems like a good idea at the moment.
