What was your first event?

Anybody remember that? My IM35 and Thor totally rocked , back in those days there was a 5/5/5 skill set but something like a gajillion levels per skill; and you had to level up like 5 times before something happened to your character.....
Been there too, I've actually been with the game since the very beginning, on the mobile only. Thor was nigh-invincible then, Classic Storm unleashed mayhem upon everything, no rubberbanding or enemy level scaling, no shields, and that weird character progress design. If I recall it correctly, each new skill consisted of five level-ups, so you needed like twenty covers, to max one skill for a character... yeah. They were giving out much more covers those days, though. Almost every prologue mission had a cover or two in rewards, instead of boosts and recruit tokens (I remember them being introduced, too, didn't quite grasp how they work at first). This game has really made a lot of improvement in what feels like a little time.0 -

But my roster was so **** I could usually only get through 1 or 2 nodes.
Got the Hulk cover, though!
I was still doing the Prologue at the time but curiosity got the better of me so I had a little nibble and got myself that free Hulk cover.
I had previously avoided events because of my noobishness at the time, so after that I definitely started to pay more attention to them.
I think The Hunt came after that, which saw my first real participation and to my surprise I almost completed Ares as a result.
That's what hooked me.0 -
I vaguely remember the Punisher Hunt. I wasn't able to win more than a couple of fights back then, though.0

First pvp event was Thor weekend tourney
First pve was moonstone one0 -

That's right! I couldn't remember what the first PvE event was, thanks for the help! Now I recall it clearly, it was a Halloween special, they had announced it earlier, hinting a new villain cover to be added. I was hoping for someone scary, to fit the Halloween style, and then they came up with... Moonstone? Yep, that was surprising.0 -
I think my first PvE was a Heroic Venom that I could only complete a few missions in thanks to a loaner hero. My first "real" PvE was The Hunt I believe, with Punisher as the prize. Seems ages ago now but it was only 5 months or so. Time flies when you're matching tiles!0

Been playing since the first week but I'm not as developed as some of the old timers (only have 4 141s so far).
I have my characters really well covered but didn't discover this board until later so never got to abuse the Facebook iso share and lightning round iso fountains that used to be around0 -
I recall heroic venom and quaking in my boots at level 90s.0

I joined in the middle of The Hunt. Back then I thought Modern Hawkeye was fantastic. His buffed stats combined with the tech environment would let me turn 1 critical tile into 3. I barely used his countdown tiles.
Edit: matching a crit tile to environment returned over 120 points for more tile creation.
That's my story exactly! Signed up early in The Hunt, put my early ISO into Modern Hawkeye since I got several early covers for him and he was major buffed in that event and crit environmental tiles were the awesomest thing ever and let me beat stuff I had no business beating that early (and then they nerfed that tactic with about 2 days to go in the Hunt, but not before I'd racked up a fair bit of stuff).0 -
Been playing since October so whatever the first event was, I played it0

I was in from the start. Whatever the event was. What I mostly remember from the early days was a combination of horrifying and hilarious - when both sides had a pre-nerf CStorm... uh, chick-girl... yeah.
Anyway, the tempest would unleash the other teams tempest and back and forth it would go until everyone was dead - and when everyone is dead, that is considered an offensive victory. I won a few. died a lot - but this was also when health packs were dirt cheap to buy.
ah, but I ramble like an old timer...0 -
First event was Hulk, the one in December. I think it was the second one - I'm an iOS player but I didn't know about this game until I saw its steam release advertised on steam, so the steam release date is when I started playing0

First event was red ISO. Everything was so unknown at the time. It was there I started abusing the meta game... Level up to heal. Certainly! A no-cost retreat when the countdown tile was at 1? Absolutely. Grinding 1 point nodes? Why, of course. Classic hawkeye was the man against those CD tiles.
In the end, I didn't get the Moonstone cover and I was so mad! She was so exotic and powered up compared to my roster and now, all she is (along with bagman) is tank-bait.0 -
I think I started right after unstable ISO, only did the prologue for the first couple weeks though. First event I remember doing was the jughhead tourny, back when leveling up healed your characters.0
-
Heroic Oscorp. Played a while wiht my 1* team until the scaling got ridiculous and I was facing off against lvl 120s with lvl 30s. I didn't get much, but it was a cool change from the prologue.0
-
I remember that Juggernaut Tourney... Boosted Juggs was some scaaaaary stuff. But that was mostly because there wasn't a huge player base with a roster capable of tolerating multiple 200% headbutts. After dealing with 230 PvE's nowaday, He's a walk in the park. I still hope he goes gold though =D0

I started playing in early November (I'm on day 143-144), but was only playing very occasionally at first, and didn't start "really" playing until Thanksgiving. I know I did the original Hunt, but barely (I think I could do one or two nodes per sub); I may have done the original Red ISO, but even more barely. I did the Hulk all out, enough to finish top 10k both times - barely the first time; almost top 5k the second.0

I started playing after New York Comic-Con and if I remember correctly there was a Cap 1* tournament the next weekend, or the one after that, and I had obsessively worked through the prologue and had an okay 1* team and scored a cap cover.
The first big PvE event was the Moonstone one Polkio is talking about and the way he played it definitely is the reason rubberbanding exists today. The forum was full of people complaining about him grinding out 2 point missions but I learned from him, a couple refreshes too late, but soon enough for me to be able to do it pretty easily too and I was able to get Moonstone.
I think so far I have a perfect record of picking up a new cover in the first event it is offered although that might not be right.0
