I've cut back a bit over the past couple of weeks (mainly thanks to Dark Souls) and I've been thankful for it.

Dark Souls has helped wean me off the OCD playing, too. For some reason, dying repeatedly in Drangleic is much more appealing than MPQ. I don't think I'll ever *quit* quit - I love match three - but I'm definitely playing less and less thesedays.

On another note, the event finish times here in Oz aren't always the best, but I will never understand the need some people have to get up in the middle of the night for this. That is beyond hooked. There will always be another event to place in.
  • BTW I heard Dark Souls 2 is coming.

Dark Souls came out for PC. I tried it. Sux. icon_e_sad.gif

On the other hand, if you want to get the best rewards, then you're thinking of being competitive. In that case, playing at those hours becomes part of the package.

I just see no reason why those things are necessarily connected. If I have 2 hours total to play during an event, why should it matter when those 2 hours are? Basically 2 people who put in similar effort will get vastly different rewards simply based on which hours they are able to play. I'm not fussed about being competitive or getting the best rewards. I'm just saying I personally find it discouraging knowing that the rewards for my efforts will be sub-par just because I can't play at a specific, arbitrary time of day.

Weeks (or rather; months) back I reached the same conclusion that you reached now. The difference is you quit over it and I atleast try to voice the problems the game has in an effort to make it playable again without having your off-hours life revolve around it.

Yet somehow that makes me suck at the game. Right...

Speaking from experience, people don't like it when you voice problems about the game. Besides, the devs aren't exactly the best listeners around.

I have an idea! Let's listen to what our gamers are saying, and give them what they want!

I stopped playing for about 4 days due to school work and then playing Diablo 3. Surprisingly freeing. Back on the wagon for Fearless Defenders...maybe.
Yeah, with only one event going right now, D3:RoS has been my go-to game. I guess tonight or tomorrow morning I'll have to make my big push for FD.
