    Thanks Dang!

I am using my A-team and healing. Most of the time I come unharmed out of a match. That explains why my Coercive Force was only 2 levels lower than yours although there is an obvious difference in roster.

I didn't know that forum post embedded node reset times. I would suggest that you communicate your estimate over the alliance chat. The only thing we need to know is when you estimate to do your preparation phase. Did I understand correctly that in this phase you don't clear all the nodes, just the high value ones or the ones that open other nodes?
Forum post doesn't embedded reset time.
If you want to know the reset time for an event, just go to the forum post for that even and ask. Chances are someone else already asks and someone already gave the answer. If you are lazy like me, just assume that it is 12 hours. So play the prep phase with anywhere from 18-15 hours left to be safe. You don't really need to do this prep phase unless you are gunning for top 2 placement. And yes you only clear what you like to get a little bit of a head start for the final push.
  • Due to a member gone inactive we have a free slot!

We are a semi-competitive alliance that is balancing around the 50th position for most events. We have a mix of hardcore and more casual players.

In season 1 we were 51st and our current season 1 ranking is 53 with 19 members.

We expect our members to make a minimal contribution of 500-600 for pvp and get reasonable scores in pve. If you miss an event no problem but we like to be informed you are not going to make it. We appreciate a message in the online alliance chat every now and then as well icon_e_wink.gif

If you are interested drop me or Justdangit a pm and feel free to join the alliance in-game (easier to check roster). It's nice to know a little about you (location), how you play and what your team preferences are like. Please state your current scores for pvp and pve and how you have done in season 1. If you have been in other alliances let us know!

  • Due to circumstances we need to fill two positions within our alliance.

We are a semi-competitive alliance that is balancing around the 50th position for most events. We have a mix of hardcore and more casual players. We have always had a stable alliance and we value each and every person participating!

In season 1 we ended 51st and we intend to do it over in season 2! Just recently we all got our Sentry covers icon_e_wink.gif

Since the psylocke event is about to end we can also do a temporary join if that suits both parties better.

Hope to hear from you soon!

  • Hi guys - new member here, joined this past Friday.

I'm from Toronto, Canada and play daily. I usually compete in most pve's and the Friday and Sunday pvp's. Weds non pvp is a bit tricky for me as I work.

    How's everyone doing?
  • Hi Jeff

    Welcome to the team!

Actually we have another player from Toronto in the alliance. I leave it up to him to disclose himself!
  • Hi guys

Please try not to attack alliance members unless you know for sure they are shielded (cfr alliance chat)!

    Thanks
  • Isolated has one more free slot available. Send me a pm if interested!
  • Two questions about PvP:

    1) Why tank? I read the post about tanking below. I did it for Predator and Prey: I beat the seed teams in two nodes to rack up 300 points (and get token reward), then beat the seed team in the third node with a 1* team and the generic, 1-cover BP. Then everybody attacked me and I lost all my points. Now what?

    2) What's your schedule for this tournament? There is 1d 14h left. When do you plan to play or shield, and with what teams?

    1) When you lose, your match making rating(mmr) go down. So in the future, you get match with people with lower MMR which may have weaker team. Tanking was very effective in the past. I don't know how it is now as i don't really tank anymore. Though i wouldnt recommend tanking in a normal season tourney. You might have trouble when you make a push latter on as some people already queue your weak team up. They can beat your weak team when you are making a push with your real team which can be a problem.

    2) For PVP i usually make a push with about 4 hour left then put on a 3 hours shield. But other people have to take other approach as they do not have the same team as me. So people like acker/filip can't not do a full play through without expending all his health packs while i rarely have to use a health pack while playing.
I will be playing with BP, Lazy Thor and Classic Mag.

    Thanks, Dang!

Do you only make one push for the whole tourney? Should I do a mid-range push today, leave it unshielded, then try to do a big push tomorrow and shield?

What's the last team I should use after a push?

I think it worked. I'm seeing a lot of weak teams in my nodes. Should I leave them there for my final push?

Yes most people do a mid range push to like 500-600 points, leave it unshielded then do a big push in the end and shield.

Before, they use to put you in random bracket, so joining early have higher chance of putting you in the bracket with more committed player. This mean it will be harder to place well if you join early. So i used to do one massive push at the end so i dont have to join event early. But now they change it so i just play when ever i can and make the last push at the end.

So would it be a good idea for today to keep one weak team in one node while I do a push to 600 with Punisher and OBW, then fight the weak team with a weak tank team (e.g., 1* Storm/Widow/IM/Hawk and 1-cover BP). Would that make the big push tomorrow easier? Right now, because of yesterday's tank, I make 20-30 points for beating teams that don't have a single lvl-85 character.

Anyway, I'll try it and see how it works.
  • Hi Felix

My input -I am a weaker player than Dang so my strategy is a bit different and when in doubt listen to Dang because that is what I always do myself-:

At 600 points I wouldn't insert a tank team anymore. You will also find out that tanking only works to a certain extent. You will breeze through the weak teams and all of a sudden the real ones are back (a little sooner than you wish for) icon_e_wink.gif

I usually play to 300-400 points and then do my final push from there. The PVE gave me 3 extra health packs that I will be saving for just that. If I have more time I also do an intermediate push to 600 points so I can start the final push from there.

I only use one 8 hour shield after my final push. The main reason is that I am in Europe and I end playing at around 00:30 with the pvp ending at 06:00 (in the morning). Staying up till 03:00 is not an option and if I don't shield I don't make top 25.

If you happen to be shielded I would not unshield in the ranges 9-8 hours and 4-3 hours before the end of event to "get a little something extra". Everyone happens to find you at that exact moment and you go down instead of up (unless your team is so strong that people leave you alone).
