Great job on top 50 again! I was a little worried since we were in the 70s when I checked last night. Let's keep it up!
Also yeah the scaling so far has been crazy. After 12hrs or so, long after I'd stopped doing quests, most of mine were deadly with 230's -.-0 -
Hey guys
Update: since I haven't heard from Zeninnnn since he joined the alliance and he was pretty inactive in the game his member slot has been transferred to The Batusi.
Welcome to Jason from Boston!0 -
Thanks for checking that out acker! Since it's mostly you and I who post here I have no idea who's playing in the events and who isn't lol0
-
With the new patch coming we can see who is active and who is not. Then we should work it out to improve our alliance.0
-
Congrats with the top 50 position for The Best There Is event guys! Another job well done!0
-
Lol, I really just wanted the 1000 ISO for getting over 800 points, but I got a baglady as well that time0
-
Wow I wish I could make it all the way up. I've got a hard time keeping up in the PvP events. I try to make it into the top 200 for the covers but that is as far as I get I still haven't got a maxed out 2* team (Wolvie is maxed, Ares is almost maxed, then I will be working on OBW & C.Storm). I am glad to make it over 200 points in the PvP events as I tend to get my **** kicked by guys like you.
I started playing late in this game and on top of that I've spent way too much time in the prologue
Am I the only one that thinks the current PvE event sucks? Overnight you drop down from #1 to #120 or further. Since I live in Europe and the event ends at 5:00am I know what my final position is going to be unless I get up in the middle of the night (imagine what my wife is going to say about that).
Cheers0 -
Alliance members are now using the inline alliance chat. Thank you D3!0

It seem to me that some of you guys do not know how to tank or do not fully understand the concept of tanking in this game. Hopefully this guide will help you some what:
The term tanking in this game refer to losing on purpose to lower your match making rating(aka MMR) so you get easier match up in later tournament/event.
You can tank actively and passively. Below i will try my best to explain how and when to tank to get the most efficient result.
To tank actively, you just need to start a match then retreat. Each time you do this your MMR go down a little bit. Remmeber your character lose 33% of their health each time you retreat. So after 3 retreat you will only have 1% health remaining. Retreating 1 more time will result in down you characters. This is not the most effective way to tank as it is time consuming demand you have spare character to take the hit. The upside to this method is that it is simple and can be done when ever you want as long as you have character to tank with. The best place to do this is in Shield Training PVP.
To tank passively you need to put out a very weak team as your defensive team. Your defensive team is the last team that you use to get a win in that tournament.
Passively tank is much more effective but require a lot of preparation. To passively tank, you need to be in the game as a PVP tourny is starting. If you are in the game when the tourny start, the system will match you up with seeded team. These team consist of very weak character, mostly 1*-2* at very low lvl. You will get 3 seeded team in 3 different nodes. Save 1 or 2 of those node with the seed team and gain points beating people in other node. Once you get enough point go back and beat the seed team with your weakest team possible(keep in mind that this team need to beat the seed team for it to count). After you win, you will then have a very weak team as your defensive team in that tournament and will get attack a lot. The amount of time that you get attack will depend on how many point you get before you put in you defensive team. The best event to do this with is in Lightning round.
If you join lightning round as it start you will get match up to at least 6-7 seed team in a row and the seed team are very weak. You can get to around 100-120 points with seed team and then start tanking. The best part about this is that you get an easy 1500 iso every time you do this. This is easy and only take like 20 minutes.0 -
Many thanks for the info Dang!0

Great info dang,
I'd like to add that tanking in Shield prologue event can be useful before you're off for the night or so. Just pop in retreat a bunch of times and kill some characters. Once you start only losing 1-2 points per battle you can win a few and boost it back up.
Also, I'd recommend reading the guides for PVE scaling and resets. They help win events when they're not completely screwed up like this one and the past few have been.0 -
One of our members has resigned because he will not be able to play for an extended period of time.
We would like to invite someone else to fill the slot and help us score the alliance awards. With 5 days and 11 hours of play time left in season 1 the Nick Fury cover is within reach but it will take some extra effort to secure it.
Our current alliance ranking is #101 in Oscorp: Heroic and #88 in season 1.
When we started the alliance our only requirement was to be a daily active player. We have been in the alliance top 50 alliance for many events but due to increased competition and a little slack we are were dancing around the #100 spot for the most recent events.
For the upcoming events we will ask (not force) our members to make some sort of minimal effort so our hardcore players have a solid base to push from and we can enjoy the new covers together
Other than that we don't have any other real (roster) requirements but we will be asking for your current season 1 scores
Send me a pm or post a message here if you think you are the ideal candidate for the slot!0 -
hello guys,
i am looking for a top 100 alliance for truely some days and thought of trying online instead of searchin in the alliance search for a 20 slot alliance.

Hello,
I am kind of active player with nice roster pun 141 lvl, lcap 104lvl, bw/thor/psy/wolv 85 lvl an so on.
Usually in event I acquire 700 points. In this season 1 i accumulated 4500 points ( however I lost many points because my phone broke down for week and most likely due to that was kicked from previous alliance).
I would like to join such big and nice looking alliance. If I meet requirements I would gladly join
In game nick: sliopka0 -
For the new candidates please join in game so we are able to check out your roster!0
-
The slot has been taken by our new member A007. Welcome to the team Lewis!
For all other candidates I am really sorry we don't have more slots because we would have been more than happy to get you in! Most of you were definitely qualified for the job and it would have been great to team up with you!0 -
Before you read my tips and strategy, i would suggest that you read eddiemon pve guide here (if you havent already done so) : viewtopic.php?f=6&t=5304
That guide will give you basic understanding of how pve work and the basic of do and don't.
This post is about how to get the most of the do part.
There are two part to this:
Scaling management and maximizing points gain.
Maximizing points gain:
I assume that you know how rubber banding work from eddie post. The less point you have compare to the leader the more point you gain. You should also know that you get less points as you repeatedly clear a mission due to the mission having stack. A mission usually have 5 stack in which you can grind before it only give 1 point. And that you should let a stack fully refresh before clearing it again.
So generally, you want to let all the mission fully refresh at the end of the event before clearing it in the last two hours for maximum effect.
However, they are several things you can do to make the most points for your effort.
Joining PVE sub early. In PVP, it was a preferable that you join the event late to be put in an easier bracket.(though it is rumour that they are putting you in a bracket base of your performance inthe past pvp). In pve, due to scaling and rubberbanding i really doesnt matter when you join an event, a guy with 1*roster can be just a competitive as a guy with 3* roster if his scaling remain low enough. So you want to join PVE especially sub event early.
Why join them early? Because in early bracket people play more so they get more points. And due to rubberbanding every one in the same bracket will get more points. Joining early will usually allow you to get a bit more points, which is favorable to getting the high progression reward. Joining sub bracket early will mean you are contributing the most point toward the main(for the same amount of effort, this is because sub event point rubberband base on the sub leader. For example if you joing the event early and the leader have 10000 points, then using correct playing method you should be getting about 10000 point to contribute to the main event, if you join a later bracket and the leader only have 9000, theoretically you will not be scoring as high as some one who have the leader at 10000 points.) Joining sub event early might put you in a competitive bracket but you should be fine in if you play correctly, and you will be better of in the main bracket and make winning the pve 3* cover a lot easier. Some time it might be completely random that you might be joining a bracket early, but every one in that bracket is lazy and you get less point than a later bracket, this is very rare so it is still generally better to join early. Note: joining early doesn't mean playing it early, you only have to play 1 mission in a sub to be put in an early bracket.
That now bring us to playing schedule. You should now know that if you want to place high in pve you need to play in the final 2 hours of the event ending time. If you are sure you absolutely can not play in the final two hours, just think of your last push as if it is the final two hour of the event and apply the same thing.
Depend of how you care about the placement reward in sub event you can chose different way of approaching it
You can play 1 mission to join a bracket, then leave it to the final 2 hours for the final push. This way you will be sure that you are getting maximum rubberbanding and fully stack mission in you last push and you get the most points for the least effort. This wont guarantee first place but you should get a top 10 or at least top 50 if you time your run correctly.
Another way is to join early, complete each node once, then stop and leave it to the final 2 hours. This will give you a more solid change of always getting to 10. ( i use to do this them the was still a first time completion reward).
How i would play a pve in the current state is to just play one mission in the sub to join a bracket. Leave it until there are 3 hours + the time it take for a mission to fully reset to play a few mission ( mostly the high value mission (usually the essential character mission) and mission the are require to unlock high value mission.) So if an event have a 8 hour reset time, i would play it when there are 11 hours left. In this play, i called it the preparation phase. In the preparation phase, avoid grinding, just play each high value mission once. (i usually just complete all the essential mission once, and any none essential mission the have very high value.
Why leave it until 3+ reset time left to play the preparation phase? Because this way you will also get the most advantage out of rubber banding. To find out reset time you have to look in the particular discussion post for that even.If you dont know the exact reset time just assume that it is 12 hours.
In my final push in the last 2 hour , i would start with the hardest highest scoring value mission first, the move on the the second hardest and so on. This way if you a happen to fail you can use your health pack and have time to generate at least 1 or even two more health pack during the final push. I would leave the easiest highest scoring mission untouched(usually one of the essential mission as they are usually high score and less affect by community scaling so they remain low level) for the final 15 minutes. You will find that is there are a few people who know that they are doing in your bracket, the final 15 minute will most likely be a race to the finish. It will be who can finish mission faster win. Having a high scoring node that you can finish faster than other people mean that you will win the race. Also use boost to win fast in the last 15 minute( i will cover more about boosting in the scaling management part). I use this method and i constantly get top 2 finish when ever i can play in the last 2 hour of a sub. You dont really have to do this you dont care about top 2 finish.
Timing is also important. Notice how people use the final two hours reference a lot. Well this is only a semi-accurate guide on when you should start the final push. 2 hours seem to be the safest prediction but it all varies for different people. Some time i start within 2 hour and i am a bit late and some time i am too early.
So i work out a small formula to see how much time you need to do a full clear. In the last event, i was 5000 point behind the leader, and the missions give me an average of 500 points/match with max rubberbanding. I was taking 5 minutes on average to finish a mission. so to work out the time require for me to make up the 5000 point would be [5000/(points per match divided by 2 to account for rubberbanding)] all times 5 minutes = roughly 100 minutes which is about an hour and 40 minutes.
I start playing with 2 hours left to be safe and quickly realize i was playing to fast. I slow down a bit and in the end was able to get top 2 finish.
Scaling management:
If you read the eddie guide you will already know that there are two scaling factors, community scaling and personal scaling.
There is not much you can do about community scaling. That said we shouldn't worry to much about community scaling, the way it is now. When community scaling was first introduce, it was absurd. The even would start out at about lvl 50 then at the end will be lvl 230 even if you didnt doing anything. I gave an advantage to people who play/grind early but was really unfair to people who couldn't play early so the change it. Now it is a lot less, i notice that if i dont do anything, for a sub that is about 36 hours long, near the end of the sub, the lvl will only increase by like 20-30 levels( which is quite reasonable).
With personal scaling, there are a few thing you can do to actively manage it.- Don't grind/play a lot in pve. The only time you want to grind is when you are making the push sometime in the final 2 hours of the event(this time varies as different people have different speed in which they can safely complete a match). If you can't be there at the end of the event as end time are not always favorable for most people then leave grinding to the latest time possible.
- Dont use boost constantly. Avoid using boost as much as possible. The only time you should be using boost in pve is in the final minutes when you need to complete a mission super fast to get the next tier reward.
- Dont use healing character, if you are coming out of a fight with full health, your scaling will go up much faster. So avoid using healing character.
- Don't always go all out. You dont need to be using your A/top team for every mission, try using other character that you can win with. Especially if you are playing the preparation phase as i suggest above and in the beginning of the final push. Playing with character that lose health and still win will minimize the effect of scaling as the game will see you as doing average and will not increase your scaling much. Give IM35 a go, i complete a few mission with various character like CStorm, Ragnarok, Captain America before they all wind up dead but hey i dont really need them anyway and they have done their job. This way you will also negate the need to heal your A-team in the off chance you you may lose some of these battle due to bad board or unlucky cascade. You will also have more casual fun using different combination of character. I recently rediscover some forgotten combo that seem fun, like i was using 1 yellow cover iron man 40 to fuel captain america red, that was quite fun.
So in summary, in pve you want to play as little as possible, only play hard near the end of the event, avoid healing, avoid winning too comfortably and manage your time.
This is only a guide, made with both objective and factual information.I cant guarantee it'll work 100% for every one but it should help.
I try to explain everything as clearly as possible, if there is some thing you don't understand, disagree or would like to add some things, feel free to leave a reply or pm me and i will get back to you.0 -
Just to add to this, the sequence of grinding in the final hour is hardest - easiest, then highest point to lowest point. This mean going for the hardest and highest scoring point first. So you grind the hard mission until it give less point than the easier one. Then work down the order.
So just say a mission A give 500 points, mission B one give 300 points and mission C also give 300 points. A is harder than both B and C so you play A first. After two match mission A only give 250 points. Now you move on to B and C. And B is harder than C,then you want to play B first, even though they both give same amount of point.
Just for reference i will upload some picture to about my progress in the last event
How my map look before i start my final grind. Note how one of the mission have not been complete yet, i chose to leave that once since it didnt give any good reward or point.
My level scaling for reference
My final placement. At the end i was very close with only a few point serepating the top 3. 24 point between 1st and 4th place.

Good info Dang, thanks for taking the time to formalize all the tips.0
-
Thanks Dang!
I am using my A-team and healing. Most of the time I come unharmed out of a match. That explains why my Coercive Force was only 2 levels lower than yours although there is an obvious difference in roster.
I didn't know that forum post embedded node reset times. I would suggest that you communicate your estimate over the alliance chat. The only thing we need to know is when you estimate to do your preparation phase. Did I understand correctly that in this phase you don't clear all the nodes, just the high value ones or the ones that open other nodes?0
