General 'I was robbed of Saheeli' thread

Rather than starting 5 or 6 different threads of the different ways in which you were cheated out of owning new planeswalker Saheeli Rai, I thought it might be useful to create one big thread, and post them all in here.
I'll start:
- Saheeli Rai has been given a deck which is incapable of dealing with the #1 threat in the game, Runaway Carriage, which is uncommon, and colorless, so anyone can play it. Her deck is very badly tuned and so beating a [DELETED SECRET TECH] deck is a bit of a crapshoot (although admittedly the match is heavily weighted in your favour).
- There are still lockups which exist in the game. Unscrupulous players can in fact specfically engineer their decks to to hopefully cause these lockups against you, creating a game loss for you, although I personally WOULD NEVER DO OR EVEN COUNTENANCE SUCH ACTIVITY.

Was there any way of determining in-game what the objectives on each node were before you chose your planeswalker? What happened to players who don't come to this forum? What if they chose planeswalkers which don't match up easily with the objectives? Are they just screwed, because they've demonstrated that they're not going to engage with the community and can therefore be safely **** without anyone knowing about it?0

So no in-game link, then? There were certainly people on my facebook group who didn't find that info. Ah well, all the more chances for me to win!0 -
I had two freezes (my only two losses so far). Both I hadn't seen before, and both were right after seasons past was castes when there were several tokens on the board. Incredibly frustrating. I'm somehow still in the top 25 for now, but I doubt I end up with the pw because of these freezes.0

Two losses so far. One to a cheese runaway carriage, and the other on a completely dead board Saheeli drawing lots of hangerback walkers.0

Because *everybody* who plays this game visits the forums right?0 -

I agree that posting the info to the game itself would have been more fair to the cast majority of players who certainly don't frequent here.
As for cheese... Well everyone has to face it, so it's not like you got robbed. Would hope RC issue gets fixed sooner rather than later though. It was funny at first, but now it's just boring.0 -

Is this where I post a screenshot of my freeze vs. your Kiora deck?0 -

He's being sarcastic. Egging people on to exploit bugs is kinda what he does. He thinks that gets the dev's attention.
Might work, who knows. Meanwhile everyone freezes.0 -

The game should always give you the option of seeing the goals before picking the planeswalker. There's no reason for the game not to have that information available to you before you pick the planeswalker for each node.0 -

agree. the way it's set up now, it's like a blind luck contest for those who don't visit this forum or even look in the right post for the info.
as for rc, why so many complaints?
any good balanced deck should have a mass removal and a defender card, imo.
I never have any trouble with rc. I m more afraid of the bigger hex proofed creatures like plate beast(?) or Gaia revenge.
not because I don't gave the cards to deal with them, but whether I have the life and time to draw the right cards to deal with them. a 16/9 creature mirror pooled is no joke.
oops. sorry. you all are right to complain.
This Saheedi deck is badly tuned to deal with rc.0 -
I'm top 2 but as usual going to pass on continuing after 150 pts since I can't spare another 48 hours watching an event that doesn't have rewards after this point, just grind for a chance in a rat race... Flawed idea of competition in this game.0

at least it's much better than qb. now that's a grinder.
this PvP event u only need to play like 3 to 5 matches every 4 hours.
I m still playing past the 150pt reward stage since I m part of a coalition. gotta score as many wins I can get.0 -

Clearly you have not faced a unblockable RC before as red. It has no answers.0 -
I did not visit the forums prior to the start of the event, and set up my planeswalkers exactly wrong for the event. Oh well, should still be able to get my points.0

If you're in a coalition, every point helps.0 -

Never listen to a man who explains the actions and motives of someone else on a forum.
Except me, obviously.Pqmtg- wrote:As for cheese... Well everyone has to face it, so it's not like you got robbed.
Oh let me be clear, *I* didn't get robbed. I've got Kiora, so I don't lose games. I did try to tell everyone around here she was overpowered, but nobody really cared. Instead, they just told me how overpowered Ob was as if it was some kind of mitigating factor. So I got Ob, and now I don't lose games with him, either. It was touch and go with my third planeswalker for a while, but then I got broken cards like [CARD NAME REDACTED] and [CARD NAME REDACTED] in SoI, so I don't lose any games at all.
Sure am going to have fun playing with my new Saheeli Rai. I imagine people like me, who are constantly caustic about everything and actively warn their friends away from playing this game, are exactly the ambassadors for the game that d3Go are looking for to play with their new toys. Blue red? Yeah, I'm not going to be losing with that, either. My deck will be a pain in the **** to play against. Have fun with that.blacklotus wrote:as for rc, why so many complaints?

The problem is that all mass removal is at least Rare, probably Mythic, so a lot less people have access to it than the number of RC decks around. Defenders are OK, but to make sure you aren't shut down you need a creature that can block flying RCs, which cuts down your options dramatically. Red really does have problems, Skyraker Giant is hardly a good card, and red's good Flyers, which you'd have to combine with something like a Censer anyway, are all Rare/Mythic.0 -
Ethyde wrote:Pqmtg- wrote:Clearly you have not faced a unblockable RC before as red. It has no answers.
AI are so poor... With a good deck there is no reason to lose in PVP, except unlucky or crash
That's unfair. Especially because Saheeli IS a good deck, according to the devs, but lacks any card to stop RC>
As for Red, as you quoted... True-Faith Censer or the Giant with Reach. That's about it. Have you bothered playing pure red lately?0
