Got some quality LOT in last night and rubber banded this mornin. So I'm Sittin pretty for now at 145k in the simulator.
My current ranks are overall 2, easy 6, hard 1, and LOT 7. Off to work, by the time I get home I should be able to get some more LOT in before I make that last push in the simulator.

can we switch bracket.. im at 720 and not even in top 10

I only started the Sim brackets last night intending to ride the rubberbanding and timing it so there would only be a single refresh at the end. Worked out well in the Easy bracket as I breezed through the nodes and accelerated up to 1st, but trying to max the 'banding in the Hard by running the low-point nodes first didn't work out quite so well as the Loki match & Storm/Hulk party-wiped me. With my last live team I did grind the Hood node down a few stacks, but then the party died again and I had to quit for the night.

So that forced a change of approach: this morning I skipped the progression nodes and just ground the Hawk/IM40 and Mag/Venom nodes down. So with 14hrs to go I'm sitting at 3/2/2 with a full refresh due on the high-ticket nodes. Meanwhile during the day I'll try and hit up the missing progression nodes for the first-clear bonuses alternating with the Lord of Thighs.

Target for that is Top10 to complete my Patch ... I hit 600pts during the day yesterday; have been battered back down to <450, but have some juicy retaliations queued up so I should be able to jump back up to ~700 and shield.

We've obviously got a few teammates still struggling with Hard mode, since we're holding steady at #2 in Easy like last tourney, but have struggled to climb out of 6-7th in Hard.

I'd like some discussion on this front. If you're having trouble with a fight, I'd like to see alliance mates chatting out strategy rather than worried that they're letting the team down or in danger of getting kicked.

there's only 1 node in hardmode that is difficult for me it's hood/bw/pyro.. but still managable if i use boosts.
i allways just grind the 3 essential nodes since they give the most points. but hawkeye/criterion/ironman is lvl 240 now but still more doable then the hood node.
ill probably finish top 10 in hard node but all i can say is boosts are needed since i don't have any powered up characters i can use.
next subevent lazythor will be powered up so that will be a breeze for me.
i see you are on top of me again dreylin would be nice if we can finish 1st/2nd in main event but there are couple tough players in our bracket.

For the 3 big nodes, i tend to prioritize the following in order of who I kill first to last.
Hood, pyro, Widow - hood has the big offensive and boosted capability and the ap steal is constant. Take him out first. Although widow is annoying, she isn't offensive
Magneto, Brotherhood, Venom - magneto can whack my team for 4k+ so he has to go. The other 2 could be switched but make sure you save a big attak for the brotherhood guy due to his suicide bomb attack.
IM, whichever - Usually IM is last but Hawkeye is not a threat.

I can't speak for the group, but as far as I can see there shouldn't be any members concerned about letting the rest of us down or no longer being welcome here. This is a nine-day event with separate alliance-ranked tournaments occurring at the same time, and our first outing as a full 20-man group. The pressure's on to do your share of the heavy-lifting and help The Church make itself known as a name to be respected, to be sure, and, to that end, it certainly seems like everybody's been doing just that.

As far as strategy goes, in the simulator I'm running Spidey/MNMag/whomever for the tough fights and His Holiness Patch/GSW/Whomever elsewhere. They both work the same, though: collect purple, create blue or green, spam with a dash of damage control as the situation demands.

Also, I'm probably ruining community scaling.

I dunno If this helps at all. But I've been using astonishing wolvie, bp, and obw. In hard mode I usually give myself a 3 ap boost for purple and blue, and I try to get purple filled off the bat. This way in like 3 or so turns I u can fill it up, steal their ap the turn before it looks like if they could use a power. It'll buy a little bit of time. Now depending on the match here is how I attack; mags, venom, bot.... Take mags out quick, hopefully u only get hit a few times before he falls. Next I go bot if I can, that way when I hit the last guy I usually try and store 2 of obw blue power to get health back and take out venom.

When I go after hood, widow, and bot. I replace obw for punisher and I use a black green ap boost.I take hood out fast,then I go to widow and take her out, keep in mind I try to keep purple away from her so she can't get my ap. then not, since I don't have obw to regain health I save the bot.

And in the hawkeye, im40, and bot. I go back to using obw w a purple blue ap boost. Take hawkeye down first, then work on the bot while I build up a big hit for im40.

Now keep in mind my wolvie is maxed so every red hit is at least 4800, of not more bc I try to use as many feral claws as I can to get that extra ummmmph. My widow is a 69 too, so I can manage all of it w only 2 powered up heroes.

Hopefully, maybe this helps out. It seems to be workin out pretty well for me. I gotta get back to work now.

Also, we Are 2/2/3 right now so i think we are doing well. Especially since we are a couple thousand from moving up in each.

I actually have been doing things backwards and it's made it much easier. I was going to post this last night but sleep.

For hood fight I target bw FIRST the times I've lost are because be keeps stunning me to smithereens. Also ares, so much ares. None of them use green and greens cheap. I've had lots of success targeting bw, then hood, Pyro. Maybe target Pyro second if your team is squishy

For Im fight, again no green use so spam ares. Target HAWKEYE first. He's a 1* so he scales more aggressively. Look at the hit values. Hawkeye is doing more damage than im40. Critical plus cascade can = ouch. Target im40 second but aim to take out brotherhood in one shot even if it means leaving im40 for last. Eventually he's just gonna stun himself anyways

Mags first, spam ares. Venoms stun isn't a huge problem just watch out for 12 black. Don't let your squishy take devour to the face

I am sitting at 156,241 in the main bracket.
Scaling has started to hit me hard but the fights are still manageable. On hard mode I am fighting around level 200-230 and 100-130 in normal mode.
I have been doing the nodes that offer the most points and keep playing until they are giving under 200 or until I am in 1st place again. I go in with Patch/Classic Magneto/Black Panther or Patch/Spider-man/Black Panther.
I built the suicide version of Patch 5/5/3 so every round I wait for the right moment to cast Berserker Rage and spam Magneto's blue and red or stun everyone with Spider-man and that's usually enough to win.

I don't think there's much chance of that since I'm not going to be able to play in the last hour of the tourney; going to have to rush early and hope to hold on to Top10.

In all 3 rounds I've been leaning heavily on Featured Character & Ares as the core of the team, and have been gradually leveling Ares with the ISO rewards (now lvl75). They handle the Tank/Damage roles very well between them so the third is some rotation of support character - OBW/Storms/MMN/Bullseye mostly, but I've pulled a lot of other out here and there.

If there's a purple-generator Goon it's usually OBW to steal / delay. Just took Modern Widow in against the Storm/Hulk mission to stun Hulk and hold off Anger. I tried Loki in the Patch/Punisher/Doom mission and it worked quite well - problem was that the Berserker Rage + cascade killed Ares and I didn't have enough offensive skills on BP & Loki to stop them chipping away the protect tiles until I died - will probably try that again though unless anyone has any other suggestions?

I haven't touched any boosts yet, which means I'm wasting a lot I'm acquiring over the cap; probably go and blow them on a rush in the Thunder Thighs tourney.

For stun I've been using modern hawkeye. At lvl 40 it's like 1400+ damage plus 4 turn stun if you have 5 blue. Put him to the left of patch and he basically won't get touched all game

Obviously be careful there isn't an obvious blue match before letting the cd tile go out. Classic storms stun is even better if you have her at 85, 5 blue

Well, I've fallen out of contention in every event thanks to puking my guts out with the flu last couple days. Going to try and make some ground back after work but I'm not expecting to place too high.
