I don't have facebook, I used to but it's evil and I hate it. I just hope that eventually they implement sharing in the alliance like they do with Facebook. Iceix has mentioned there will be resource sharing of some sort

Dreylin, I'm all up in that oil industry. My company uses that stuff to make sure no one blows up, you're welcome. Dog father you're out, Dreylin you're in
  • Hey guys,

Just reporting in: I'm sitting on 47,309 points, but I'm not sure I'll maximize the last rubberband run in terms of points. Of course I'll play it to the last minute, but I need to time these events better. Can anyone confirm if the resets are every 12 hours, counted from when the event started. I.e.: If the event has 2d12h at the start, the resets will be at 2d, 1d12h, 1d, and the last 12h mark.

Also, I got a message from Arogntbastrd which asked us not play at the start of the event. I could be wrong here, but when this event started I got 3400 hundred points for my first node completion (that's right, 1 node, 3400 points) and it was really easy, level 60 or something. I think the devs are changing the rubberband formula to give people an incentive to play at the start of the event. I think that who ever is awake when the event ends should check the points at the first minute of the event. Last time it was very worth it for me to play at the very beginning.

Btw, I'm from Brazil. I'm a lawyer and I lived in NY for a decade after my LLM.

    Cheers,
    NazgulPrime
  • Arrogant: Yeah, I currently live in Edmonton, just a couple hours away from Calgary. Oil country icon_e_smile.gif

Dog: I have Facebook, but I play off Steam, and the computer versions don't do the FB popups for some reason.

I'm holding at about 47k, 10th place in my main. Hard bracket; I must have been into this tourney earlier than I thought.

Aha, you're later down the system than me; we're in the Airgun, Vibrator & lots of compute power business - so they know where to drill.

Nazgul; I just got back from a 3yr posting in Rio.

15/20 reported in. I'd like to see reports in from Dulodulo, FloubyOne, Nazgul, Tempos, and Thirstyguts when convenient.

FloubyOne have a young baby. In week end he is in familly, harder for answering. But I can tell you that yesterday night he was 1st in the 3 tournaments, and much more advanced than me.

    Actually I'am at 42.567

For european, playing is very different than for american : as tournaments finish for us at 5am, we cannot focus on the finish. I often loose 50 places while I was on top ten at 3am... Only solution play much more than average players...

our alliance is currently in 3rd place really good stuff.
rewardwise i dont care cause it's all almost the same reward for top 50 but it puts our alliance on the map atleast icon_cool.gif

edit: allthrough top 2 get 500 hp instead of 100, damn now i want to aim for that.

    Teehee... You said air gun

Nazgul. Check out beezer's post viewtopic.php?f=6&t=4961#p82864 refresh is based on when you last finished a node, not every x hours. So points per node go up due to where you are in the stack and rubber banding, with stacks refreshing every 12 hours after you finish a node. the post describes very well how it typically works

We have an office in rio too! And the times I've been to Calgary were to meet with transcanada. We're such besties right

We were in second for a moment there! I'm honestly a little surprised we're doing so well. I read a post where a guy from the care bear alliance referred to us as a "monster" in the same breath as shield and 5dv. He was surprised we weren't on the leaderboards Early Friday. While I wouldn't quite put us up there with those guys it's nice that apparently people notice. And the poem, don't forget the poem!

They seem to be quite generous with the event Alliance Reward. The subs are a bit harder to get but those rewards are more of a little bonus and not like super worthwhile.

As of this post, we're #9 in the event, and #10 and #9 in the sub events

That's weird... Where are the monster alliances like S.H.I.E.L.D or 5DeadlyVenoms or Church of Patches??? OH NO! Have we been sandboxed??? icon_e_wink.gif

Thats not how it works. Reset are separate for every node. Reset start counting from when you defeat node, not from start of the event. Even each charge of node has separate timer. If you kill 1 charge now and rest in next 2 hours first charge will be available in 12 hours, and fully charged in 14 (if you dont kill it again before)

Edit: bah slow typer. better explanation above me.

Europe here too, so event ends 6am/pm right when im sleeping of shortly after i return from work. But im night owl and going to sleep at 3am so im riding rubberband and placing well in events.

To the Europe folk, yeah bc of the advantages of rubber banding things are trickier for you but you guys are contributing quite a bit. If we all stay pretty active I think we'll always do pretty well.

One of the reasons I think we're all pretty active and doing well is that for the most part, everyone chose this alliance over other options AND also paid sweet sweet hp to expand it (or was willing to) that alone shows that you're literally invested in the game.

Also, Europe keeps us rackin in the pts while the US sleeps. That's what the kids call "synergy" I think, it's been a while and I've lost touch with the streets
  • in the subevents the top 2 alliance reward get 5k iso and 100 hp.. top 5 is 2.5k iso and 50 hp.
seeing as the reward is so nice for top 2, do you guys think it would be smart to go a little more in the easy event.
that way we have a good chance of grabbing more rewards then if we try to do both events.
obviously we gonna do both events as much as we can but if we all do a little more in the easy event we get more rewarded.. just a thought

I always just do whatever node gives me the most points, regardless of which bracket it's in and let the chips fall where they may. I do it like this incase I get hit by an upscale, I don't want a high value node to become to difficult for me.

off-topic but where is everybody from btw.
from the look of when we gain points i feel like most of the alliance is from US.
i'm from the Netherlands, so some events finish 6 am for me which is tough

I'm from Switzerland. so I'm in the same boat concering the finishing times :/

on the upside, the main event ends in the evening in europe, so that might make up for it a bit icon_e_smile.gif
  • I'm in North-West Russia, so events end for me in 8 am, which really sucks - I'll stop too early to place well and to ride last rubber-wave (Steam player, so no playing during trip to work). Oh well, at least starting hext week I'll be on vacation, so more time to dedicate on events.
  • Hailing from Philadelphia, PA here. Sittin in shut down mode till later tonight. Have 43k points.

The alliance is ranked 3/1/4 (overall/easy/hard), way to grind Europeans!
