    Hey guys! Hope you're still looking for someone. I'm a pretty active daily player, but not exactly hardcore either. I'm mostly just looking for an alliance that will at least be competitive for pvp covers most of the time, and of of course try for new characters in pve as well (I'm psyched for deadpool!). I have about 4200 points this season and 4 3* characters over level 130 so far. I applied in game under the same name, so hopefully see you guys there

    This pre-moderation used by D3 was pretty annoying: there was a delay before your posts were published but when they were, they were placed chronologically before mine so that I can missed them easily.

    Without that pre-moderation delay, I could have explained to you that one has to search alliance name in game then click to apply to appear in the member list as a candidate waiting for approval.
    I should have written that on the recruitment post indeed.

    Hi Extraordinary members!

    I'll try to put some news in this thread regularly.
    I know our chat is really active (and it's nice) but as we're not in the same timezones it's not really the best way to reach everyone
    As I like to spend some time on these forums, I can try to keep this thread alive so that our alliance has a place where we can discuss, plan strategies, notice when absent...

    PvP: Lessons from Cage Fight
    First PvP with our new team with 20 members: congrats everyone!

    some stats

    alliance points 9700
    alliance ranking: 166
    avg pt per player: 485
    avg pt per active player: 570
    active players: 17/20

    It's a huge progression compared to the last few weeks of Extraordinary. Encouraging to say the least!
    Can we do better, can we reach top 100 again? I hope so.
    Recently the top 100 mark in PvP was around 13000 points. Therefore to score as much in a PvP we should theoretically
    (1) have 20 players active
    (2) each one scoring 650 points
    How? Well, this place is here to discuss how.
    Obviously, 650 is an average and as some of us score higher, some could score less.
    Some key points to discuss here or in chat:
    managing MMR (tanking) to avoid insane difficulty, when to push score, when to shield, which character to level... icon_e_ugeek.gif
    Lazy Thor and Hood tournaments are here for training!

    PvE: Deadpool is insane!
    No, I mean he really is. icon_twisted.gif
    As this is one of the most wanted character from MPQ community, high level of grinding is foretold.
    Indeed I'd like to grind I'll end here but you're welcome to tell here how you deal with your foolish fights.

    A few notes just after the end of Deadpool PvE and persistant server's issue forbidding connection to the game... and to the leaderboard!

    icon_arrow.gif I hope my last hour push secured me a top 25. I was #23 before my last fight so I can't be sure. Seeing the scores of all of you I guess there is several top25 finishers among us or I hope so. We will probably welcome a lot of baby Deadpool soon! icon_e_biggrin.gif

    As nitro said before, Deadpool is really insane...
    He wins again MPQ and break down theirs servers with his whales...
    I reach the top 25 in the last 10 mn, finish my last fight 1mn before the break. I hope that I will stay #24 and that they gave me a second chance for lthor pvp i could'nt play a lot.

    Well, the servers are down again. This is getting kinda annoying. I was hoping to start the hood pvp about now, but I'll have to wait until a little after the servers come back unless I want to join at the same time as everyone else who is rushing back

    Hi all!

    Servers outage

    Servers crashed just after the end of Deadpool PvE, preventing us to play the hour of Thor's tournament and when I wrote these lines the connection was downed again. We should receive some compensation tokens tomorrow. Of course, tokens often brought only **** but I was quite lucky with the last 'compensation tokens' so we'll see... icon_e_smile.gif

    PvE: Deadpool vs. MPQ

    So it's done, Deadpool is among us! I think this PvE was really funny and new but also very intensive as all players wanted to earn Deadpool that resulted in a hellish grindfest. The result?

    Alliance points: 444,213
    Alliance ranking: 209
    avg pt per player: 22,210
    avg pt per active player: 22,210
    active players: 20/20

    In my opinion, alliance top 100 wasn't attainable for us at all: it requires a nearly insane level of grinding of all 20 players.
    Several of us reached top 100 and therefore earned the new character Deadpool, congratulations!
    We were less to grab top25 and his two covers. Interesting enough, a score around 30,000 could have bought a #20 or #80 depending on your bracket.
    icon_arrow.gif I think that those of us who waited a bit less than a day (around 21h maybe) before entering the PvE reached top 25 more easily. How to choose entry time remains highly random and arguable but I think a good rule of thumb is to avoid the first few hours at the least.

    PvP: Thor... then Hood!

    We were so busy grinding Deadpool that we almost forgot Thor's tournament! icon_razz.gif To be fair, there was very few competition for exactly the same reason. Personally I encountered a 'wall' of maxed 3* lvl 166 teams quite early and therefore I didn't really have the courage to push higher. The few number of players in this PvP was probably the reason for early difficult teams: few teams to be matched meant higher probability to be matched with high level veterans.

    As next PvE 'Thick as Thieves' didn't start yet, we could easily focus on the current Hood PvP and push our team record higher...

    Match Making Rating (MMR) system is the mechanism that find opponent for you in PvP. The much victories you have, the stronger are the opponent proposed by MMR. Therefore climbing become more difficult. 'Tanking' refers on this forums at the set of tactics to lower this MMR. In general losing some fights. It's a bit taboo to talk about tanking on the forums because it's a kind of exploit... and because most fear than devs will nerf our most used tactics if they read too much details!

    Once again, as rules keep changing so try and error is continuously needed

    Somehow the MPQ client has kicked me out of the guild again! I have no idea how that happened but trust me I did not do it myself. Please hold my spot, I will attempt to rejoin when the server lets me!

    Very encouraging, alliance top 100 was not so far
    Several of us reached 40K and therefore earned Deadpool red cover, congratulations!

    Hello ppl,

    I just applied for membership ingame. Got a pretty decent 2* roster and transitioning into 3*. I play every day and got most of the new characters that are out. Missed a few while I had a busy few months at work but things have calmed down since then and I've resumed the daily grind icon_razz.gif

    I applied to join the alliance because I think all the effort I usually put in could really help you and me in return.

    So.. think about it, yea?

    I'd PM the recruiter directly but I first need three posts, and I'm not much into discussion unless I've got something reeeally good to contribute with.

    How are you doing? Do you resume playing after a break or maybe you have tried different alliances?

    Currently, we don't have open spots but keep in touch as there can always be some turnover
    As you see, Extraordinary is still running. Our thread isn't really active anymore, fortunately, inder909 saw your message. The alliance is now firmly in top 250 land. Less reward but less stress!
