    We were dancing right on the edge, I saw us drop to 103 then move right back up to 100. Have my rewards for finishing top 5 but no alliance reward yet.

    If this was meant for me, I didn't sacrifice anything since I was #2 while shielded and the difference for top 5 and top 10 is only 500 ISO it wasn't even worth considering. icon_e_biggrin.gif

    As I write this the rewards for the bracket came and I made top 1. Woohoo. Finally got the 3rd black for BP (4/1/3). Invisible Woman is 1/0/2, but I don't really care about her. She's just a bonus. I hope we made top 100 in the alliances. Now I have to get Psylocke from Lord of Thunder who interests me a lot, but with 0 covers of Modern Thor, top 2-5 will be a challenge.

    I got two new Thors from the last event and it's the only reason why I'm able to do pretty decently in the current Juggs event. Hoping for more BPs!

    Lost my other post trying to type it all out by phone... But +1 to point about playing for fun. I don't want or need a second job with a bunch of pressure turning MPQ into something other than a fun release. I may play a ton obsessively, but I'm a F2Per and am "casual" from that standpoint though not casual if you look at time invested per day. icon_mrgreen.gif

    It's like post-war report. But, yes! Managed to stay in top 10 for my bracket so that means with the Alliance reward, it's 1 cover each.

    Not that I'm using BP since Punisher's probably better for my team at the moment.

    Now they should start implementing claiming rewards for Alliances. Would be glad to share ISO all around.

    True. I don't really get it. They say they kick out players for low scores, but how are they able to check player scores? If you take this game too seriously it will eat you alive.
    The way I see it the alliance rewards are divided in 4 groups.
    # 1 for the extra cover and the 500 HP it gets
    # 2-100 because they all get the extra cover
    # 101-2500 because they all get 50 HP
    The rest for getting ISO.

    The way the rewards are structured encourage very competitive play for the top 100, but after that it doesn't really matter what rank you get. The extra ISO for the top 101-250 is great but even top 251-2500 is fine.

    I'm such a glutton for punishment--just spent way too much time getting top 10 in heroic Juggs event. Now get to use new Thor covers in the other event and sink more time into this game. icon_eek.gif

    I tanked the last event as the one before that because of the enemy levels. With MBW, MStorm and Psylocke at lv70 some opponents were destroying me again and again. I will try to do better in the new event and I hope the enemies will be lower level. If I manage to I get the Psylocke covers from Lord of Thor I will level her and hopefully have better luck this time. However the fact that I don't have a single lazy Thor means I won't be able to get high since missions that require him give so many points.

    I have 1/2/2 lazy Thor through lucky event placement. But even buffed, round two of this event is kicking the **** out of me.

    I think if you grind the nodes on the main route, they should make up for the lack of Lazy Thor somehow. I cleared the nodes by targetting the highest value each pass and the score for the Lazy Thor nodes went down quite fast, leaving the bulk of the points in the main route. I hit Daken and the two goons at the end and died there - opening all the main branch's nodes in the process.

    But of course, the problem is whether one can clear the main route beyond the first appearance of Daken, given the lack of healing on our side and sub-par AP steal to counter H.A.M.M.E.R, and sub-par stunning - basically lack of any good utility in general. I had to resort to using Capt America to override the enemy special nodes -.-", or Hawkeye to dance around the AOEs and attacks (at the expense of Wolverine). My nodes were marked "Normal" and damn they felt like "Deadly"...

    Just thinking: If they come up with Alliance Elites or Alliance Lightning Rounds, I don't know if I will contribute much, if at all. I don't really like either mini-games. Just saying.

    I've never had a roster good enough for the elite tourneys and generally play LRs for the progression rewards so no worries in the same boat as you. Hope our fearless leader is fine with us sitting on any virtual sidelines

    Same here. I play LR just for the progression rewards and the ISO. Usually, I am able to win the first 6-8 matches against the seed teams and then I am out. I also don't participate in Elite tournaments (those that have a HP entry fee) because it's too competitive for my taste and require too much shielding.

    This time with Jugg Heroic I will try something for the first time. I will enter 4-6 hours before the end and try to win as much as I can. Hopefully I will land in a new bracket with players that thought the same and try my best for a top 50-100 placement or better if I see it works. I hope that doing a single pass I will face low level enemies and I won't have to win against them in multiple rotations. It's just an experiment to see if I can have a decent placement with minimum work done from my part. The refresh time is 12 hours this time, right?

    Right now I am #2 in the Thor tournament with 854, only 7 points below #1 and the 3h shield expires 2:40 before the end, so I will try to win 2-4 matches before shielding for the end. This time I am not sure even 900 will be enough for top 5 since all of us are really close. Top 1-4 is 832-861 and top 5-10 is 791-702 so a single win or loss can make a huge difference. 9 of us are shielded so I hope some of them are 8 hour shields that won't break before the end.

    Nice, good luck. Top guy in my bracket is at 868 with 9/10 shielded. Im at 620, #21. Its a long wAy to go to make the next award tier so as long as i dont drop out of top 25, i am happy to make like lazy thor and chill. But still tons of time left...

    Thankfully I was shielded when the chaos started in the last minutes. Made top 1 with 983 and finally got 4* Wolverine to 3/2/1 and Psylocke to 4/3/4. I might have a chance in Jugg Heroic now. icon_e_smile.gif There was an error in my client and showed the tournament ended 6:20 PM so I missed the opportunity to push for the 1000 reward (50 HP). I had hoped the next tournament ranking rewards would be someone I didn't need so I could save up some HP from shields, but they give Doom who is 1/1 so this is another one I have to try and win. At least they give IW for top 1 so I won't have to try too hard.

    I ended up only top 50. ;(

    Been having a ton of MPQ client problems, this time in the last 30 min of the event it pushed data updates to my phone not once but TWICE. By the time it completed i had been attacked twice , dropping 50pts. Net cost, 1 psylocke, 50 hp, 1000 iso....

    How did you do in the 2nd round in Jugg Heroic? The last minutes were crazy, but I think I landed around #9-10 and I finally have Thor as 1/1/1. I entered the event with 7 hours remaining and played for 2-2.5 hours. It would be significantly easier if I had access to the 3 mission which were locked behind the Thor requirement. However I am completely dry on boosts.

    Had to wake up at 5am to catch the last 40 mins of the event (not as terrible as it sounds as i had a 7am meeting to dial into anyways). Moved up from 83 to end up third, missing my first xwolv by a few dozen measily pts. But happy to have three more lazy thors. Currently have him up to 2/4/3 lvl 52, lacking iso to take him to lvl 89, at which point he'd be one of my top heroes.

    What are your thoughts on the captain america simulator event? It'll be an alliance event, but 9 days is a big time commitment. IceIX has made it sound like new cap is kinda worth having though so it has piqued my interest. And at minimum i need to raise some ISO so will likely go for it again. MPQ is a harsh mistress. icon_twisted.gif

    I on the other hand, couldn't/wouldn't wake up at 5am for the end of the event and landed a Classic Storm cover, haha.

    On the bright side, today is X-Force Wolverine day! Okay, not that bright...

    I liked the last simulator event, but it depends on scaling and rubber-banding. I wish they would do like, weeklong events -7 days is nice. So Captain America is a variant and not Gold?
