    Yeah thats really lame what they did with the courageous tokens, although I have always used LRs as a way to easily tank MMR, especially in light of the fact that my villains are too undercovered and underleveled to compete for the top prizes, and other than GSBW all my *** featured heroes are fully covered (1st world MPQ problems).

    So finally decided to actually try in one of these newly nerfed lightning rounds. Managed a top 8 finish despite having to play between calls at work. Guess what I got with my 2 courageous tokens! A pair of two stars! Whee!

    Not like I didn't expect it.... But I could really use... Well, any of the featured covers but wolverine yellow. My Punisher has been 4/4/4 for months now.

    I really hope to see these desirable LR characters obtainable as prizes elsewhere.

    Folks, I'm going on two-week vacation. Since I'm playing MPQ on Steam and I'm not taking my laptop with me, this means a two-week vacation from MPQ as well. I hope this won't affect our performance in alliance PvP standing much.

    BTW do I get the alliance reward even if I don't participate in the tourney myself? Or will I miss all the new covers for these two weeks?

    I am pretty sure you get the alliance rewards despite not participating yourself. Have a fun time!

    Two week vacation! That sounds nice. I'll hide in your luggage and tag along. ^.^ I'm sure you'll have a nice message spam of new covers/ISO/HP rewards when you get back. Enjoy your vacation and we'll see you when you return!

    Have a good vacation! And, yeah, you do get rewards if you don't participate. I know this because I didn't have any 1* heroes last time that came around.

    Speaking of not participating in tournaments... Sorry guys, but the dark avengers only event? I've only got a lvl 15 rag.

    Don't worry, we have same lazyCap rewards in PvE/can shoot for them individually. I will certainly try to push the alliance score in DA seeing as how I have a maxed Daken, a maxed Ares and a lvl 70 Rags. Desert here I come, again, after GSBW.

    Grats people, we made it to top 50 in Bad is Good (blue lazyCap); top 50 in Hard Round 1 (blue lazyCap) and top 250 in Normal Round 2 (short of top 100 by just a few places). Now we have the same rewards and we can choose which mode to push. I think Hard will be easier to place in since it's undoable for many players and points are higher, but the fights are also much harder... I will farm Normal for points too, personally. Don't want to miss the final red and the alliance blue Cap myself.

    thx all - my cap is now 4/5/4. will probably focus on hard this round and hope for a final blue to respect, with some late rubberbanding on normal.

    levelled cap to around 70 and his red is very effective (albeit in the buffed tourney). Teamed with high level LT and BP, 20k HP total and big moves on red, yellow, green & black. Hoping for some defensive wins!

    With the heroes I have available for heroic mode, looks like I'm gonna have a 1/1/5 cap by the end of this...

    In other news, hulk rewards! Yay! And red is the easy one! I think I'ma get a late start in this one and push for first.
    So this is the second event in, what, two weeks with hulk rewards? I bet we can expect a hulk theme event soon.

    Hooray! I'm happy to see the Hulk covers as rewards, as I am still in need of black and red. What sort of team are you guys running with Captain America in this match? I'm alternating between 106 Classic Magento / 85 OBW, and 101 Patch / 85 OBW.

    I'ma run the standard partners I usually run. 130 mags and 125 Punisher. With the non-leveled 1/1/3 cap.

    I don't need the Hulk anymore, so I'm just trying various teams for kicks and faster kills, also foregoing oBW since all the opposition sports a maxed oBW and sometimes cStorm/MMN and I want to be speshul. Non-maxed Patch/cMags, Hood/Punisher, the likes. Even went with the Hulk and almost got him killed by an oBW team icon_lol.gif Have to keep the 300 pts token till the end of the tourney since my lazyCap is going to be maxed otherwise, so I'd rather chance a different 3* later.

    So can everyone just make sure we get at least a top 50 place!
    Some of us still need the Black Hulk token icon_e_biggrin.gif (yes i do).

    Btw: Since when do LR villian tokens give you Ares covers?! icon_evil.gif Finished top 25 for nothing....

    Yep the new Lightning Round changes have not been for the better. On the bright side though, we only need top 100 to get a black hulk - currently we're in 53rd. I'm currently in 10th place with 669 - since I got some unexpected time off I can play for a bit tonight. I will probably try to hit 700-800 and then shield - that should hopefully guarantee at least a top 50 finish for the red that I need.

    I need the Red and Black as well.Now at place 14 with 760 points.Not going to shield for a top 50 place...But might push if we are falling out of the top100place in the Alliance..Not likely but could happen!

    And tomorrow i will start with the Venom nodes! Hope to get some Cap Covers then!

    Yes we've had some great finishes lately! locked, I wanted to thank you for keeping such a nice, organized/expandable post of our accomplishments/banners/roster/etc. on the first page. It's fun to see how we've done so far. Classy!

    The Lightning Rounds seem a little strange this time around; it seems that I get *none* of the "easy" seed teams (Chopstuck, Pyromantic, etc.) some rounds, and then they flood my nodes in the next LR. It's still fun to tank with Daredevil, whatever the case. ^.^

    Hi Puce Moose, try entering LR right at the start to see if you have the seed teams. Otherwise you should really tank!! icon_e_wink.gif
    I only encounter the seed team when i enter the LR right at the start or 5 minutes after the start.
