I agree with that. Last night around 2AM I pushed to #7 with 629. I finally got the advantage on 3 guys who kept retaliating and dropped a 24hr shield. Since, I've fallen to #17 and think if I unshield, I'll be fighting to keep my position for the rest of the evening. I was really hoping to get a top 10 finish.

Sitting AT #16 with 25,278 in Unstable Iso-8. #2 in my bracket is only 600 more, but I figure it's pointless now to drive the nodes into the ground and will push for higher position (even though 3-20 are all bucketed together) towards the end. Just don't want to fall out of contention.

As for First Avenger, it's pretty strange to roll it out right before a lot of people pick up more covers. I'm not going to start until later, but I looked to see the first three nodes on mine, and nobody was rolling with anything more than a level 30, which is the default.

I hate everything. I'm watching this Gormisko fellow just dawdle his way up the leaderboards with a 141 Patch / 102 Punisher / 100 Spiderman, likely going to take first. Meanwhile I can't take a moment to pry the leeches off my derriere.

Must be your mmr, Ryarus and I have similar mmr I think(since I was able to attack him), and we shield in the 1000s. He would have finished way higher too if I didn't attack him twice lol.

I'm trying to figure out the horrible MMR I'm at where there are turd burglars with teams that are HORRID on defense, but able to stick in a range where they're chomping at my goodies. I wish they'd stop dragging their butts with the Spiderman nerf and get around to it already, I'm genuinely becoming sick and tired of this game. I'll have to see where it goes after this next PvE ends, or alternately, hope I can find them at PAX East so I can give them a piece of my mind.

Made a last 10 minute push to get up to 1st, pretty sure I made it at 1030, unless someone hit me right at the very end. Had to skip Ryarus33 a bunch of times looking for last minute easier opponents worth more than 10 points. I'm going to miss using buffed patch with panther and C.mags.

I don't get this freaking game, micro was 1st and the 2nd place guy miucat was just unshielded gaining slowly on him, nobody was attacking him while he was sitting there with 1k points, meanwhile, my shield broke ,did a quick battle and shielded again, seemed to be a good decision since i got attacked 3 times in the next minute, unbelievable, checked this guys team and he's running almost the same team as me, 141 patches, 110's punisher and from then 102 and below, what the hell, i would love to just sit there and not get attacked

I really wasted hp on this lol. muicat was going to pass me so I unshielded for a quick attack. I went from 1030 to 1053 and shielded again. In the last 15, muicat went from 1038 to 1040s like a **** terminator, lol. One more fight and he was going to get me, so I unshielded yet again, went up to 1075 and reshielded. At this point muicat finally got attacked and dropped to 1005.

Yeah i was paying attention to that, extremely surprised at how long he remained unshielded and didn't get attacked until the end, his team wasn't that strong

What are your thoughts on human torch? Personnally, I'm going to pair him with gold thor and sipder-man to make a really destructive team. Thor's red isn't good compared to human torch, so there's no overlapping here. Human torch's black is great too and I would cast it just after casting thor's yellow ability in order to not waste the yellow ap. As for wasting blue and purple, the team wouldn't use purple and spider-man always uses it's blue ability so the amount of blue ap is always kept low.

I'm out of iso, but I'm starting to save it from now on to level him as he'll be in my go-to team.

Depends on how squishy Torch is. I adore the design and the fact they're expanding current design space with things like upkeep costs and drawbacks of a different kind. Seems like non-lazy characters are actually pretty cool.

My go to team right now is patches, cmags and for 3rd i use either punisher or spiderman, i'm leveling up hood so he can be the main 3rd of my team but i need a lot more covers for him, i'm also leveling panther slowly, he's going to be in the rotation as soon as he gets stronger

As for torch i'm a little intrigued, so far in this game, my judging of new characters has been terrible, i didn't play for the patches covers at the beginning thinking he wasn't any good and he's the 1st i got to lvl141, same with ares and OBW, i sold a few of their covers and now that i know how good they are i'm struggling to get them; i got hulk to 125 and covered him pretty quick and i barely use him

Since last month what i've been doing is getting as many covers as i can, no matter if i like the character or not, so i'll be doing the same for torch

That's basically my team too lol except my punisher's not as high lvl as yours and I still plug Ares as a third sometimes.
Workin on lvling my patch, hood and mag tho. Possibly lazy thor as well.

Sitting unshielded at #7 without much effort. My GSBW is a horrid 4/5/4 so hoping to respec to 5/3/5 in advance of this new tourney. Might be Human Torch covers so I want power.

My GSBW is just 2/1/5... I'll have to drop my plan of tanking the event if the next event requires her. I don;t think human torch will be a reward tho, since the pve won't be finished yet if this new gsbw event starts right after the end of the first avenger event.

Currently sitting on a 3/2/4 GSBW. The event will push her up to the point where I'll consider buying that last green, but probably not since Lazythor completely obsoletes her. Twice the health and not a squishy turd on defense.
