    Seems that peeps need hulk covers, fearless defenders quite competitive indeed.

    Wow, so far all the support people have said is," you must have got hit while buying a shield." Well, I am sure that isn't what happened, a) because buying a shield takes 2 seconds, and b) because I didn't get hit until a decent while after I shielded. Has anyone else had this problem? They should definitely instate a immediate shield buy back, like 5 mins, or something in this case. of course, you would have to put a limit on it, like 2 or 3 times an event so as not to let it be abused.

    Weird about the shields, I've never had that happen.

    I'm down to 8th with 660, watching it closely. Want 2 covers, hoping to stay in top 10 without breaking my Shield.

    I'm trying a new minimalist approach to the Iso event, so far it appears that grinding is absolutely not necessary. was able to go from 98th to 4th in one clear of the nodes this am

    Had to break the shield since i slipped to 12th, got my **** handed to me being attacked while playing, and then got lucky and won one of the attack plus my win put me in 5th.
    Shielded and stayed in 5th, 2 covers!!!
    I wanted to do something with Hulk since he destroyed me the first day i played icon_e_wink.gif now he can be actually usefull

    Edit: Just got the third one from alliance rewards, great job ALL!!!

    Ugh... Dropped to 12th,broke Shield with 10 minutes to go, won 2 got up to 8th, figured I'd play one more to be safe. Went against a mid 60 OBW and Thor, and a 50 storm. Got caught in a cascade that literally wiped me out in a minute. Worse luck possible at that time. Put me right back to 12th. One bad move against Storm and OBW in the jungle is all it takes

    Kinda bummed about the new Wolverine event. I really don't want to sink any effort or Iso into lazy Cap.

    Watched myself drop from 7 to 8 to 9 from 11 to 1145. With 10 to go the guy in 11th unshielded and passed me. With 5 to go the new guy in 11th unshielded. I waited until 4 to go and attacked the level 85 wolv/obw/Thor team I had saved and finished them off with 30 seconds remaing. Came in 6th!

    Hulk is now 4/3/1, but he doesn't really match well with lazythor.

    Make a half-hearted push for 1st place, but kept getting nowhere as attacks constantly offset my gains. Shielded up at 807 and settled for top 5.

    I almost feel like you need to make a huge push at weird times to avoid huge retaliations and then do a long shield to get first. It is so hard to make a push in the morning or evening without getting hit hard.

    Agreed, I usually push 8-9 hours or 3-4 hours before the event ends and then throw up a shield to hope it holds.

    Wasn't too big on a top score for this event as I didn't need the Green cover. Would have been happy with top 10.

    Landed in the top 10, ending with a score around 715. Had a do a last minute push since I got pushed out of the top 10. Finally got my first red Hulk cover (have an extra green now since it was already maxed), and was able to get my 5th black cover. Go alliance!!

    wow lame! I got rank 11th when I was ranked 3rd... by 9 points!

    Everyone played like mad and had 900 points by the time it ended. Oh well icon_e_sad.gif

    At least with this wolverine event, I'm going to kick **** in! Patch wolverine cannot loseeeeeeeeee! level 230!

    This has been my approach as well. I hover around the top 10 and do a clear of all nodes when i notice that sweet spot between the #1 spot and the points being offered for each node.

    I've pushed past 300 in the best there is so far...sitting around top 10 right now. #1 is @ 600 and shielded already...#2 is @ 450 and unshielded. i'm shooting for a top 10 finish in this one.

    We are looking good in the top 3 for alliances right now.

    I will be tanking this wolverine event, most of my wolverines are so underleveled. I don't think it should affect our alliance's overall ranking since top 50 is the second tier, and SHIELD win everything anyway. Tanking remaining lightning rounds, and grinding away at the PVE event.

    I've even been more extreme, I cleared once when the event opened, that took me to around 10th, then about 8 hours later, shot from 80ish to 4th. Woke up this am in 98, cleared and shot to #4, then again when new events opened, went from around 80 to #2. So, have only done 4 total clears in 2 days, probably have less than an hour sunk into it, and can shoot to top 10 anytime with a clear it seems. I'm starting to think the PVEs are pure timing as long as you have the ability to clear all nodes.

    I'd love to see what someone's point total that totally skipped the first day would be . With rubber banding would they jump right back into the Hunt?

    For now I think tanking the PVPs is fine. I think top 50 takes almost no effort with the 20 man teams currently. Give it some time and that will likely change though when more big teams get rolling

    Really stupid support response about losing points after shielding. it is in this thread at the bottom of the first page. Basically said that the server messing you over because of latency issues was the game working as intended. if I hadn't gotten top 5 after the points loss, I would have been a very cranky amish dude.

    Is it just me?? PVE event nodes give almost no points??
    Even after the new one started today, max node was like 450, anyone alse? or just my luck??

    How close to the leader are you? There's heavy rubber banding affecting the values.
