Imhb/if/3* falcon is a good place to start moose, but it will eat up healthpacks.
As for 3* rosters, they would have to win fast as that match damage will be brutal. Winfinite might work if you always get 3 matches of purple right away (at least cap doesn't chase purple). But a bad cascade would be devastating.
Cage could eke out a bit more time with 5 red, but it won't help much when match-3s do 1.5k, but it might be a round or two. So cage/fist/cyclops? Hard to burn down 40 or 60k when cyclops only does 8k per black though.
Any other 3* Winfinite combos? Would if/qs/prof s work? (i know that's cheating with prof x, but he is an old 4* and a decent number of people have covers for him).
Anyone else have good ideas for 3* rosters?0 -

Cap couldn't touch Prof X.
Tested out PX (3/2/5) with Patch & IM40 on round 8. Got him down 3 out of 4 tries. Boost Yellow & Pink. Invs, grab yellow, get out strike tiles & buff tiles. Long fights.
Downside: Patch & IM40 are going to die, guaranteed.0 -
I managed a couple of wins in R7 using 3* falcon/3* Captain Marvel/and a 2/3/3 Hulkbuster. That was the only roster that worked for me in R7.
Now we're in R8 as an alliance and as someone who is transitioning from 2's to 3's, this is hard. I can do damage, but I can't find a way to win (Max so far has been 30k out of 62k... Eek!).0 -
Well for 3* I have found a very reliable combo, won every match so far (we've just finished round 7):
Hulk, Black Panther, OBW
- I found out that OBW is WAY better than GSBW - steals AP and stalls that countdown. You pop up Panther's strikes ASAP, then let Hulk tank for you and kill cap with green cascades and also OBW's black; prevent his red with OBW's purple; heal with blue if need to, finish with black (gives cpt yellow which is usually useless for him), use hulk's green/red wisely.0 -
My Round 8 team is a 1/1/5 360 OML, a Champ IMHB, and a lvl 111 3/1/5 Ghost Rider. I just let OML or IMHB soak up damage from Cap and Penance Stare for 200% of damage taken. Has been working pretty well.0

Anyone know if you get credit for damage dealt that's healed by Coordinated Offense if you lose?
i.e. if you deal 30k but he heals 2k, do you get 30k or 28k applied to the overall score?0 -
Vamanos pest is currently in round 7, with roughly 1M to go before opening round 8. I'm locked out for a bit due to have chewed through ALL my health packs.
My team so far has been KK, 4* Carol, and IM40, all with yellow maxed. (5/5/3 for KK, 5/3/5 for Carol, 5/3/5 for Tony). Eating health packs, but it was really the Ant-Man/Cage/Deadpool node that chewed them up on me this time.
I'm curious whether folks think my roster is in a shape to try the OML/Deadforce/Falcon or OML/IM40/somebody else rosters that have been proposed.0 -
My alliance is only at the tail end of round 6, but for players without 4* characters, I've been cruising through the Cap fights using a 3* IM40 (champed/boosted), 3* Torch (champed) and 2* OBW (champed/boosted).
I generally focus on IM's yellow ASAP, so he can act as a battery for the rest of the team. Priority 1B is blue so OBW can delay Cap's CD tiles. If none of those are available early, I'll pick up red for HT, or purple to fuel OBWs AP steal, which becomes extremely effective after a few turns.
If I'm able to get a full yellow off early, the match effectively ends there. That gives me enough blue for OBW to delay Cap's CDs almost infinitely, HT can hit Cap for 3500 a pop with HT's cheap red, another 1500/turn with Torch's green, and I can even use Torch's black towards the end of the match to finish him off.
So far, I'm about 32/33 success with this team, and the one time I lost was because I forgot to heal OBW before the match started, she died early and Bucky came out to clean up. Otherwise the only time I've come close to danger is when I've been yellow- and blue-starved to start a match. Hopefully this is helpful to people without the deepest of rosters.0 -
I am in the middle stages of Round 8, and since I am in the early stages of the 3*-4* transition this has been tough. I don't have a usable IM40, which is really a problem for quick generation of AP. I have a 4/2/5 HB, but the match damage in R8 was just too much for my earlier team (HB/IF/3*Falcon). I would lose HB before I could get a good punch off, and it took more than one punch to do the 50k damage needed.
I found a solution that worked, although it was close. All champ versions of OBW (3/5/5), DP (5/3/5), and KK (5/3/3). This worked pretty well (everyone lived) and I didn't have a great board. OBW tanks purple and blue, which is key because that is what you are going for. You have to leave DP in the back because any match damage will trigger his Life of the Party, bringing him to the front with a heal that nerfs the match damage to something livable. Blue and purple hits do extra damage because of Espionage, and purple will be used to steal red and blue AP from Cap. The focus is on blue first in order to extend his CD tile, and every time you fire it you get a double heal from OBW and KK across the whole team. This keeps DP alive. The damage comes from DP and KK. Both of those are slow for a 50k opponent, but they work and DP helps with the heal.
I hope that helps people who aren't 4* studs survive the 8th round. I know other people are using HB/Rulk/3*Falcon or other mostly 4* teams. I wish I were that cool.0 -

Brilliant team design! Too bad obw isn't boosted against IM too, as this team would be good against all those drones (lots of aoe).
Must take forever to burn down 60k health with 2.5k dp red and 3k kk green. Do you need 3 health packs after each match? Also, have you tried respec'ing dp to 5 black? If you aren't using whales that will keep him alive longer.0 -
DP does have 5 black. That is really the only way this works. It offsets the match damage enough to keep it going.
Also, there was a typo before. KK is at 5/3/5 so that her does as much damage as possible.
Yes, this takes a long time, and at this point I am only 3 out of 4 with this team (**** board w/ no blue).
Again, I wish I had a better 4* roster so I didn't have to do this, but I'm making the best with what I've got.0 -
If you have a Ghost Rider with 2+ black covers, you can run him with Captain Marvel and Hulk; the latter two tank for GR, Marvel generates red and, more importantly, black, and use Hulk for Angry cascades and using his Clap as needed (and kill Steve's CD tile if you're lucky). I had a 50-60% success rate with this lineup, but I always was able to get at least one and usually two Penance Stares off to bite off big chunks of health.0
