Event Info
Civil War: Team Iron Man
Length of Event: 3.5 days
Sub-Events? 8 Rounds
Main Bracket Size: 20
Unique Reward(s): No
Other Notes:
  • The first 20 people who join the event under an alliance are locked into that leaderboard for the remainder of the event.
  • If you join the event for an alliance that already has 20 people in the same leaderboard, you’ll be put into another leaderboard for the remainder of the event.
  • Your alliance must choose a side to fight on. This event is balanced so an Alliance can complete one of the Boss Battles, but not both. Trying to switch sides will not help you.
  • If you're not sure which side you want to play, it's okay to try both, but your alliance should focus on one side to get the best rewards.
  • Every playable character in the game is playable on each side.
  • Missions completed on one side are locked out for both sides until the mission refreshes.
  • There are two different types of missions: Boss mission and Supporting Character Missions.
    • Boss Mission
      • This is the first mission available when the event starts.
      • The boss’ health at the top will go down based on the amount of damage you and your Alliance does to him, even if you lose the match.
      • The mission pin will enter cooldown for 8 hours or until you beat one of the supporting Character Missions.
        Iron Man (Civil War)
Winning Team - 6 Red AP
“You know I’m going to win eventually, right? Iron Man lets loose a barrage of repulsor blasts while his systems reach full power. Deals damage and creates random Charged tiles.

(PASSIVE) At the start of the turn, if there are more than 8 charged tiles, destroy all of them.”

Girl FRIDAY - 12 Blue AP
Ok, FRIDAY, let’s hit ‘em where it hurts. Converts tiles of the enemy’s strongest color basic tiles to Red. After the board settles, destroys all remaining basic Red tiles (Does not generate AP).

(PASSIVE) Iron Man cannot be stunned or sent airborne.

House Party Protocol - 8 Yellow AP
Welcome to the party, boys. Iron Man empties the vaults and calls his back-up armor to his aid. Replaces up to two of Iron Man’s downed or missing teammates with autonomous Iron Man Drones.

(PASSIVE) When Iron Man becomes downed, down all House Party Protocol Drones.
    • Supporting Character Missions
      • 5 different missions that each have a different featured character. Each side has a "Team Cap" or "Team Iron Man" mission that will require any three characters with that affiliation.
      • Completing these missions reduces the health of the boss at the top of the screen.
      • Reset every 8 hours. The opponents change every time the mission resets.
      • Completing a mission on one side locks out the mission on the other side.
  • Once your Alliance defeats the boss by depleting his health bar, his health will reset and you’ll unlock the next round in the event. There are 8 rounds in all that your Alliance can complete.
  • If your Alliance is able to complete all 8 rounds, you will earn a 5-Star cover of Iron Man (Mark XLVI).

For round 6, shouldn't this be "Team Ironman Legendary"?

Just wondering, because a Team Cap reward, in the Team Ironman bracket seems alternative-Star Trek universe-ish... icon_lol.gif

It does seem weird that Warmachine and Winter Soldier aren't in the progression rewards, but the older HB & Capt. Falcon...

Or they are just aiming for lots of tokens to be sold...

to be fair war machine hasnt even been released. and if winter soldier had been progression awards, 95% plus would be doing team cap.

and to imply they want to sell tokens... please, that would never happen in this game /sarcasm. icon_e_biggrin.gificon_e_biggrin.gificon_e_biggrin.gif

Hopefully for the second run they could update rewards structure with Bucky and Rhodey icon_cool.gif

What is the boss fight like? I'm waiting for my alliance to pass a round or two before I make my first run. Seems to be better to let those with not as good rosters get these first few hits in.

Basically, it's their stated abilities with an extra fortified CD that seems will fire like it's his yellow ability if it resolves.

By extra fortified, you mean can't be removed by Jean Gray purple?

I don't know, but I let the CD resolve and it summoned a 2* hawkeye. So, that's what happens with the CD's. Then killed Cap and it auto killed Hawkeye.

I checked the rewards on the boss fights. 1 cp, good, 500 iso, good, 250 iso, ok... critical boosts, OH so close...
It's like it's hard coded that there *has* to be this utterly awful prize on every node.

Oh, didn't know that if you took down Cap, his mates die too. I'll add that when his CD resolved, he summoned 3* Falcon against me, so it looks like RNG rears its beautiful head again.

now that I have the vaults, I'm really glad we chose IM. IM vault has imhb, ice, and xpool. cap vault = starlord, punisher, and bucky. punisher and bucky would be usable, but all 3 of the others are champed and used extensively. of course my daily deal on cap's vault gives.....starlord. ugh. 1K iso I guess.

Just curious, did you happen to check that Hawkeye's level in relation to Cap's? Might give us an idea of how they scale in the later rounds.

I didn't, but he had roughly 5500 health and if I remember correctly Cap had over double that. Not sure what that would equate to. I believe this was in round 2.

in round 4, I saw an antman around level 130, vs a cap at 250

He summoned Winter Soldier for me. RNGesus hates me.

I think when I checked, Winter Soldier, And Switch were at the same level as him. So Round 8 you might get a level 400 person running out to punch in the mouth. Looking forward to Max covered Level Four Hundred Winter Soldier appearing out of nowhere, and immediately murdering me in three turns with his Detonator. Oughta be great.

who are people using here? before it gets hard lol. I've gone imhb/witch with either jean or fist. not sure which is better there. fist gets him to black/red faster but jean keeps that cd from going off usually. my guess is that witch will be more and more unreliable as the levels go up because cap will be matching blues. I also used hb/hood/jean once. don't have a great feel for it yet, but the boss levels are significantly above the essential node levels. if that holds, the later rounds will be a royal pain.

Don't worry, the side nodes will scale up to level 300 soon enough, so that the whole event will be painful.

In round 1, level 100 Cap summoned a level 50 Antman. Have to see how it scales as it goes up.
