Sorry if this has been posted earlier. Has anyone been able to fight the "A New Ally" battle that was reopened in the main bracket? I fought it once back on the first day and got a black hulk, but it seems that if it was reopened that I should be able to play it again and get a green hulk but it's locked for me. Was it just a one time fight at the beginning of the PVE? If so why reopen it after hitting the point total mark? Thanks.

You only get to play that mission once, hence the red check mark.

That's lame. Then what was the purpose of the point tracker?
Well, if we somehow failed to fill that bar (as was the case in the subs during the BP release event) then that node would never have appeared for me.

The reason you got to fight it on day 1 was because of a bug in the point tracker that was then subsequently fixed.

Gotcha. Good to know. Thanks for the reply.
  • I'd just be happy you got a black hulk, some of us are selling their 3rd green cover of their 5/0/0 hulk -.-

I'm with you - got and sold a green. I was hopeful to get my hulk past 5/1/3.
  • Man it is such a kick in the balls to see a bracket I can only barely do 2 fights in and the #1 spot has a 63 Thor a 34 ironman* and. 28 black panther.

While my 100 patch 60ish ironman*** / 70ish punisher and 85 obw just gets massacred

    +1

The only reason I entered "Events" at all was because Heroic Oscorp was announced once when I was randomly checking the "Events" page out of curiosity. I had no intention of playing actual PvP, because my Shield Versus nodes had characters significantly more powerful than my Prologue-chapter-3 characters.

That's not a bad team for him if he has a usable 3rd character seeing as how Thor and BP are boosted.

I stopped using Thor and use bp/obw/punisher. Bp yellow and black does help

I just received the 120,000 progression reward to get my 5th black for Punisher...though I'm going to ditch this cover and go with a 4-4-5 build for Mr. Castle. I initially had planned just to reach 140,000 for the ISO. It looks like I'll be reaching that and 160,000 progression reward. This will be the first time I've gotten all of them.

I didn't realize there were four sub events until mid way through yesterday. Just tying to stay in the top 100, no additional grinding is really necessary.

It's a pretty big mistake not to go 5 green: it's his best ability and is a 50% damage boost from level 4->5.

If I can get another green cover I will switch him to 3-5-5. I am keeping Retirbution at 5 though. It's my favorite finishing move and I Iove downing high HP foes with 40% health left.

    Agreed.
  • 70k total points and I still have not cracked the top 10,000 players... Tinykitty!
  • I'm sure this has already been said before, but its just not fair that enemies in the event are scaling higher than are supposed to be possible. I'm being put up against a level 127 Juggernaut? I would prefer that the reward doesn't scale so high, making the fights impossible.

    1st post..but hopefully not last...

    All I can say is. . .

I would get used to that.

Every PVE has always had enemies capable of going higher than their level cap - this isn't new because of scaling.

Technically, the best thing developers can do for their profits is to have a game people want to pay.

If people really like the game, they will pay to reward the developers. What you don't want is people who casually want to try out the game and just leech.

I do like your idea, as a player, of moving content to the prologue side, honestly. Like after the Hulk event has been run a few times, you just move it to the prologue tab and let people get rewarded at their own pace.

As a game developer, I hate it, because it decreases the incentive for people to spend money to move ahead. If you have all the content available to peruse at your own leisure, you will do so. You will play the game a few hours a day, progress, and eventually get bored and move on to the next free game. What you won't do is spend money.
  • The key is balance. You want people to have a reason and a desire to pay. But you also want people to enjoy the game, and you need a critical mass of players, even if some are free. I've been playing for a few weeks. If I am now going to be faced by a wall of unbeatable 230s in every event when I have one character over 50, that is not going to get me to pay. It is going to get me to quit. And I am sure I am not alone in that sentiment.
  • How about spending little hp to unlock them in prologue after events?

I'm one of those who buy iaps or whatever after I see i'm going to play the game for hours, for support but also cause I want to give myself a little boost but not too much. I still want to play for gain you know.

The main income for devs in these games is probably new players like myself who join way after the launch. So it feels odd that they make decisions about gameplay that are preventing me to play. Had tons of fun with this one but now levels are getting too high to beat.

Why not just scale points with enemy levels? So high roster players are playing for higher points and lower rosters have fun competing for the middle prizes. Wouldn't have to up the levels beyond playable

Funny thing is I only have black Hulks. 0/0/2 so far.

The event is really wearing thin on me.

Couldn't play over the weekend, so I had to start 4 events at once today. My OBW keeps getting one-shot by Moonstone blasts or Juggs green+red combo with absolutely nothing I can do about it. And with the points I'm earning I barely scratch the top 100. But thanks to the one-shots I can't really grind much. It's just no fun whatsoever. I'm thinking about just dropping the event and waiting until next week. I don't give a damn about the new Thor, but it pains me to leave so many HP on the table. Though I don't know what would change next week, the devs made their stance clear, once you want to move to 3*s you are trash and you should go since you supposedly don't produce any more money for them.

I can go no farther my highest lvl hero is 56 and every fight is versus lvl 110 at the minimum with many at 230. How am I supposed to compete against opponents who can one shot my heroes. This is not fun at all.
