In a LR today I got five Bag-man covers.

I get it, it's an extra 1.25k iso, but it's still five Bag-man covers. That's just wrong.

Scarlet Witch's blueflag.png has a disproportionate probability of appearing on a side or a corner, reducing its eventual effectiveness if it does actually pop.

I should sit down one day and actually collect a data set for this. icon_e_smile.gif

If I have a countdown tile on the board the AI ignores it until the very last second and matches it with 1 left on the timer. Oh the frustration!
Sometimes I will set up the board so I give the AI a match 4 just to try and protect that dang thing.

I'm one ap away from being able to fire my nuke...all of a sudden the AI starts matching the one colour I need all the time.

    6) There is ALWAYS a match-5 when the match starts IF you are playing against Jean
Appendix: You get more out of nowhere match-5s with small cascades when playing against Jean

There is a reason for 1), thing is AI usually tries to fire more than one ability at the same time, this is something they usually do (not confirmation bias), so when they fire an ability, they usually fire 3 or 4, this is why this one is so frustrating.

I've been on both ends of this one:

Match ends, but the cascades resulting from the winning move keeps going for another 5-10 seconds. It's really cruel when you are on the receiving end of this.

Another thing that feels wrong: Squirrel Girls powers being named "Nuts From Above" and "The Bigger They Are". icon_redface.gif

Points not counting if a match ends 1 second late. I can understand locking out new matches and even the need for a cut off point for all matches to finish, but a grace period of a couple of minutes would be nice.

Yes, or at the very least, matches in progress count towards points achieved.

This is also true when you're up against Loki. With Loki as opponent, boards begin with match-4 and 5 and probability of getting those upped significantly.

Selling covers giving you 250/500/1000 ISO - and you need hundreds of thousands to level those characters.

Boosts drop all over - but not ISO.

No 4* DDQ daily exists - nor has it doubled ISO yet.

Double ISO doesn't exist everywhere in the game (not that it would be enough).

    ISO something something ISO.

    ISO what you did there.

last night's grind in webbed wonder I used a ton of im40 and 4thor. countless times I started the match with only 4-5 total yellow on the board - all spread out all over the place. usually on the wave nodes. the one with symbiotes (spidey essential) was very painful a couple times.

Yesterday, in First Avenger, I found myself on the business end of a full-health GSBW with 19 green ready to go on her next turn. I had no color AP to use, so just as an impotent rage move, I checked the Team-ups from my alliance mates...

    Gamma Siphon, fully charged.

Along the line of fun things that feel wrong, I hate myself a little bit every time I down Steve Rogers with Sniper Rifle.

When I'm managing a low-health or otherwise sensitive character, I keep close tabs on enemy AP to know when certain powers are ready. This way I don't fire something that'll get immediately negated or leave a squishy character in front of a Headbutt (or can make sure OML is up front so XDP strikes back). Usually the game will fire cheaper powers first, but sometimes it decides to save up for the bigger ones (we all know this). Here's how I know when the game is just messing with me:

    1. Enemy Daken acquires 5 blue; Ragnarok is his teammate
    2. I want my XDP to retaliate, so I make a match with a different character
    3. Daken doesn't fire blue
    4. "Okay, probably saving for Rags that turn. He'll fire it next time." Make match with non-XDP character
    5. Daken doesn't fire blue. At this point, I either start repeating steps 3-4 indefinitely, or proceed to step 6
    6. *shrug* "Must be saving for Rags' heal." Make match with XDP
    7. Daken fires blue against XDP, who doesn't retaliate

It's not that it's a big health loss, or unfair - what the AI does is what I'd do if I was playing against my team - it's that it seems to KNOW.

    Here's a new one:

Trying to preserve a countdown tile by matching away a tile.

On the subsequent drop, a mini-cascade replaces the tile you swapped away with one of the exact same color.

Next turn: AI matches away your countdown tile (usually on the last turn possible).

It took me fifteen minutes to end a Howard the Duck PvP because I couldn't match the stupid invisibility tile and didn't have any AOE abilities or teamups.

At least invisibility tiles aren't hidden to the opponent. My goodness would that make those battles horrendous.

But yeah, ran into the same problem once or twice with that.

And now that I think about it, you go duck hunting with a shotgun, aka AoE damage.

    Well played D3, well played...

Can't believe no one mentioned when the AI gets the AP for a nuke and you have 2 characters who can handle it, but the board has one match available for the one character who will die from it. Usually that character also has enough AP to fire off an important power the next turn.

How about the AI always seeming to have the more devastating powers in their team ups, period? Sure, I get the AI using Spider-Gwen's heal once in a great while, but it ALWAYS has Jean's powers every other time...
