    Ok D3, I'm ready for you to hire me. I've been handing out free ideas for years now, but the gravytrain stops here!

    Last AMAZING suggestion from me till I start getting a paycheck.

    Replace Devil Dino with Howard for the Hunt!!! Don't change the dialogue, just change the essential DD node to Howard, and replace DD with Howard for the cutscenes.

    I know, I'm brilliant. I look forward to your proposed salary for me by Monday. What? You wanted that idea weeks ago so it could have actually been implemented? What am I psychic?

    In my defense, the first Devil Dino run was in MPQ's prime. I don't think anyone would complain if they matched it by making "Duck Season" also have 24/7 lightning rounds offering tokens that had great chances to get Howard.

    Like others have said, why are we getting a trophy character and stingy rewards?

    Maybe I'm missing something but when was it said that Howard will be a limited-availability character like Devil Dinosaur? From the sound of the OP, with the exception of Webbed Wonder, his launch sounds identical to a normal character launch and I don't see any indication that he won't be available later on in normal tokens. With Devil Dino, the devs were upfront that he would only be available during anniversary events and anniversary daily rewards.

    I'm actually using Devil Dinosaur regularly in PvE with my level 308 OML and level 273 Prof X. DD's purple can be fired about every other turn and soon the other two have littered the board with special tiles.

    I'm hoping we all got fooled, in the sense that howard will be available in all tokens from season XVII and onwards.

    This thought is what keeps me from getting angry and frustrated enough to quit.

    Not sure what there is laugh about. I currently have 290 tacos in the inactive vault, and going to have 290 in the current vault. So with that 4/13th rotation, I should have 300 tacos by the time Howard makes his appearance in crash. I guess I will finally use my tacos then. icon_mrgreen.gif

    I think the game publishers meant that he will not be in the draw after this season. So it's limited time in that sense, and hence the "Duck Season."

    When was it said? At the time of the announcement, in several places.

    Josh Austin: We first want to mention that this is a special limited release offering of Howard the Duck during Duck Season as he will only be earnable during this mini-event. Howard the Duck will viewable in-game starting on April 6 and then available at the start of Duck Season on April 7 just in time for The Hunt event! On April 11, Webbed Wonder will begin and players will automatically be rewarded with Howard the Duck for their roster for completing the episode. And finally on April 14, players will have one more shot to earn Howard the Duck in the Fowl Play Tournament.

    ...which means covers will not be available later, otherwise you could still roster Howard.

    You know this isn't true, he's not going to be available later, so why would you be angry? It would make sense-ish to be upset if you knew that he was going to be around after, and then he wasn't. Just don't play the event, or play it for the other awards and iso? I don't get why you'd quit the game because of Howard the Duck. No one is making you roster him, or even try to get a cover. If you already don't plan on using Howard, I don't see why you'd care one way or the other.

    You're welcome. I stumbled on this video a week ago just before the announcement, serendipity I guess. It's one of the most funny and interesting ways I've seen an author protect his creation.

    Considering all the other April Fools "jokes" the devs are playing on us, it'll be a brand new Spicy Taco cycle starting in a few days...

    I plan to sell him as soon as I get his covers. If roster spots were free, then sure, I'd keep him. Theres no way I'll get all his covers prior to the end of Duck Season so what exactly is the point in keeping a character like that?

    Even yearly though, 13 covers? Thats a lot of years of playing the game to get 13 of them. Not worth the cost of a roster spot.

    the duck will have his own ddq, which will hopefully be ezpz with the invisibility. worth for me. got nothing else to do with hp. do look forward to webbed wonder redeeming duck season, which has been zzzzzz so far.

    And it's official that there isn't a true PVE way to earn Howard other than a 1/300 chance in the DDQ vault. Webbed Wonder is a usual Grind PVP event rather than a real PVE like Growth Industries.
