    That final node? I think we are supposed to lose.

    I'll sketch my situation. Opponents are level 189. This means (summarized):
    • Muscle [11580 health]: Yellow cds drop 2 strength 724 strike tiles. Blue cds do 1809 team damage
    • Kingpin [11000 health]: Black does 1971 (+2523 damage if countdown is out)
    • Bullseye [9447 health]: Green leads to cascades, black to crits.
    For simplicity, let's just say that the Muscle's yellow countdown will add 1500 dmg to all powers/matches, and Kingpin's black does 4500 dmg to the current target (90% chance of a countdown out after all).

    Now cue to my available roster (I'll just list the highest leveled here)
    • Ragnarok (l. 246, 5/5/3, 15750 hp). While he can tank a bit, his green is too slow. Also remember, AI controls Bullseye and will like to match green too.
    • Patch (l. 245, 5/3/5, 9960 hp). His regen might keep him alive for a bit, but not when the Muscle strikes are out.
    • Colossus (l. 221, 5/3/4, 14175 hp). His yellow can and will help you not die as fast (50% reduction). Good luck gathering 8 yellow fast enough! However, in my experience, even if you can get his yellow countdown out right when the big damage is about to start coming your way, he will likely not outlast his countdown tile.
    • 2hor (l. 197, 3/5/5, 10854 hp)
    • Capt. Marvel (l. 194, 3/5/5, 12415hp).
    • MnMags (l. 185, 3/5/5, 9639 hp).
    Most matches follow a familiar pattern regardless of who I bring with me:
    • For a few turns, both AI and I gather some AP
    • During these turns, Muscle drops yellow countdowns
    • I might get off a power, maybe or two. But not nearly enough to push the target (probably the Muscle) below half health.
    • I can't stop all yellow countdowns.
    • In the following few turns (depending on how many strike tiles are still out), my team is mashed to a pulp.
    I've won twice. Once with deadpool's super whales. Once with Colossus/Patch/R&G and a very favourable board (only Patch left standing).

    My rewards? 70 ISO and 3xCritBoost. icon_rolleyes.gif

    It does feel like trolling to win 3x crit boosts after beating one of the super cheap final nodes (carnage + red generating goons, hood + 2x muscle, or kingpin + bullseye + muscle).

    Hell, even 70 iso is a joke.

    At least there is an increasing chance of getting the CP / 500 ISO each time...not like infinite 20 ISO as before.

    And yet that final Cho essential int he 3rd sub seems to drag out forever both times I've played it today.

    mpq trolling again.

    patch, grocket, thor, torch, mags.
    what exactly should i play there? there is as much synergy as communication between devs and forum.

    oh, my 513 ant man is boosted. too bad, half that nodes have bullseye, so his purple is useless.

    but hooray, every board with kingpin on the enemy team just drowns in all his colors. cant see straight anymore with all that cds, whats going on?

    i raided my taco vault twice now for health packs.
    i swear, somewhere a little devil with way too much time on his hands thinks about the most possible annoying configurations the whole day.

    restricting 75% of the roster, you guys GOT to be kidding.

    So this is by no means a sure thing, but I've managed to beat the final KP/BE/Muscle node multiple times using:

    I kept failing with patch somehow, and putting rags in his place somehow made it go better. icon_e_confused.gif I go after KP first, then muscle, with BE last.

    Well, the inclusion of a powered up LCap for the last sub is very welcome. Unfortunately, I'm still 20k points behind getting to 25 cp, and these miserably low points all event haven't helped at all. This. Event. Sucks.

    Lazy cap's pve dominance is rarely quite so apparent as in this event. He really dominates with this weak **** roster.

    Also, a semi shout out for quicksilver. I only really champed him for his iceman rewards, but damn if he isn't a useful board control character now. He is still slow in that playing him to best advantage requires carefully plotting out black tile swaps, so I would use him for speed runs. And if jg or any of the regular anti-goon characters were available. They would be superior. But in their absence, qs isn't terrible. It reminds of 1* land using classic Hawkeye to destroy countdowns by setting up critical matches.

    Hawkeye is one of my favorite characters in mpq because of his purple randomly (or not) finishing battles super fast. He's been great in this 3rd sub, paired with Magneto and Storm (for a complete rainbow) or Quicksilver and / or 2hor. If only I could have him instead of Cho or Colossus in the repeatable node...

    God, this Heroic is kicking my teeth in. I entered the last sub with a little over half the points required for full progression. This will be the first one in a while that I didn't not get the 25 CP progression reward. The limited roster this time around basically hit all of my non-championed 2* and 3*s except for Patch, SWitch, LCap, Mags, Thor and Storm. This has been brutal and not fun at all.

    The best team I had going was SWitch, Mags and Quicksilver, and then to put Mags on half the nodes in Sub 3 so I can't use him, what nonsense.

    was excited when I heard steve would be sub 3's reinforcement. until I realized all the nodes had cmags in it, locking out mnmags. gee thanks guys... starlord/storm made do, but that would be a helluva lot easier with mags.

    Squeaked by the CP progression reward with less than two hours to spare this morning, clearing 20,000 in this last sub. Didn't bother anymore after that because I don't need anymore GotG covers until Drax shows up. Never got the CP rewards from the hard nodes in either of the last two subs.


    The progressions reward did get me a greenflag.pngicon_ghostrider.png , bringing him to 4/5/3, almost complete. I'm happy with that, on to Duck Season.

    Doesn't look like I'll get the 25 CP in this one, for the first time since the CP final reward started. I can't use any of my 5*s or my good 4*s. It's like I'm back to where I was a year ago.

    This event was not fun. With my roster i thought heroics were ok, but my roster for this includes (levels with boost)

    Again, my 30%nerfed 2*Champs dictate the scaling, on the second day i think in the second node of the main page i "met" a 132 Moonstone, 133 Daken, 132 Ares. My team was Mags, Storm, Thor. Mags was dead, Thor nearly dead, Storm 30 minutes rest time. The next node was a 132 bullseye 133 daken 132 moonstone and that looks like so much fun i skipped the rest of the event.

    Please remove the damage nerf of 2*s and 3*s, and for the 3* transitioners like me, remove boosting and champions of 2*s from scaling matters. My 2*champs scale out my full leveled 3*s (in this event i didnt have one except rags). Thats not funny.
