Yeah, I really think that purple Fury ability is cool, but without his others it seems like you're missing out by having him on your team instead of a three ability character.Tonzil wrote:

Thick as Thieves is up. Gold Storm is the reward. Same abilities as 1* M.Storm.
I would love to get Gold Storm. Combo her with BP would be awesome. Also her storm might be good to counter LazyDaken's strike tiles.0 -

Generally, a few pointers, using fritejay's sig as an example, because it does a lot of things right:
- color cohesion: red, black, luminescent white. You want a color scheme that doesn't clash (unless you're clashing deliberately) yet provides enough contrast to lift detail out of the image with ease. Bonus points for a color scheme that evokes the character involved.
- typographic theme and clarity: frite uses two clean, sans-serif fonts - one modern, one retro-scifi, and softens the aesthetic contrast between the two by putting Gambit in the middle, and implying a transition with the leading line behind him.
- proportion: frite's using a neat trick with his Gambit image constraints, cutting it deliberately to let your brain fill in the rest of the image, while giving you enough displayed detail in the focal point to seed your imagination. He crops it tight enough that Gambit doesn't feel smushed into the frame, but rather the frame is a window into a bigger image. The fact that Gambit is reaching towards the viewer (moving your faze from his eyes to his hand) is accentuated by the fact that Gambit is in front of the textual accent line extending from "Leader", which helps to bridge the typographic difference between the two halves of the text.
- spacing: at this stage, it's less about little things like kerning, and more about making everything feel like it's exactly where it's supposed to be and shouldn't be anywhere else - "ScarFighters" is vertically centered and given breathing room on either side, "fritejay" is given a cushion of negative space on the left.
So, that was more long-winded than I'd anticipated.

Just a little precision, "ScarFighters" title is not a font...it's home made...
But I guess there is some fonts which look like it...probably (but you certainly not need a Sci-fi font ^^).0 -
Ugh, another 3* release. Demiurge is really putting the pedal to the metal with these "new" (using the term new loosely here) characters, Sentry is barely out and LazyStorm is already on her way.
Also I remember IceIX saying She-Hulk was further along development when he made that Q&A topic, so I'm sure she'll come right after LazyStorm.0 -
Its not that i dislike mohawk storm... its just i think new powers would be cool, but it falls in line with all the lazy gold characters they (the devs) released.
How are you doing? How is the mood in the alliance? Came to say hi
. Im still playing once a day to get the daily rewards but im tempted to play a pvp for a top10 just to see how does it feels. Maybe season 4? 0 -

Did you make an alliance for yourself? Just to hide out in? One day, when I go into exile, that's what I'm gonna do.
Alliance is still doing pretty good - we grumble and groan like the rest of them, but no drama. Our new co-commanders have really stepped up. A lot more harassment from the ScarFighters (if you dig to its origins, fritejay started it!). I'm really proud of this awesome alliance!

For what it's worth, the HUB had some marketing for their "new" version of the Care Bears in 2012 that all used the same color scheme for their TV, billboard, and magazine adds. Yellowish Orange CARE, Purple BEAR, and White to blue fade STARE. Personally I like the looks of these colors together.

Well I really thought I was on a roll in PVP. I was within i think 10 pts again of Berk when I came into the office. Of course not shielding I put myself at risk. Lunchtime check - down 253 points. Ugh.0

A shadow alliance? A place to hide in exile from all the noise... thats not a bad idea at all, but i've been hopping from 5 player public alliance to the other, just for the daily iso. Now you tempted me to start one Ha! I just thought a great name too! I'll give it to you when you need a rest

We happily stayed in top100 for the Predator and Prey tournament! Extra Sentry covers for all! Great job.
Only 8 days left in the Season!?! Gotta start the Simulator...
With some consideration, the commanders have made some decisions to continue evolving the greatest alliance... so we are looking for two new Bears to join our team! We're looking for active players who can play well, give it the fight in PVP and PVE, and communicate with each other to keep our spirits up! Our team pulls in the alliance rewards without the need to lose your minds and keeping the drama down. Be a part!
