Yeah, kind of ridiculous I needed over 900 points just to break top 50! I was hoping for top 10 but just didn't have the time to commit yesterday, I was busy organizing all the diapers I got from the baby shower.

Nice hoard there. Only about halk of those might leak. J/K. Need more size "N"

Yikes. Are you having a baby or opening up a convenience store? I don't know about you, but my kids grew out of N size diapers in about 3 days. icon_e_biggrin.gif

I took a chance ( and a break) midday without a shield and paid for it dearly. Still got personal top 50. So 2 LTs covers. Pretty happy with that but having to follow everyone's advice to skip like crazy to find worth opponents - Just got Rags as high as I can go and still have Hulk tank for him. This last PVP is going to more fun than work for me. Got all I wanted out this season.

Season 1 is almost over so lets just make a final push. Also, I've heard whispers on the forum that PvP MMR has been changed already since Daken event so hopefully this event will be a little better.

I REALLY need Psylocke Black and I hope that top 100 for us won't be too difficult.

That's what I was getting at. We got top 50 in the last one even with the craziness going on. We put some effort into it I have no doubt we can secure that cover.

After that, though, I'm in for us taking a big break. I really just want ISO at this point; I don't really need covers.
  • I just want to assure you all it's not seasons that's burning me out. I'm one of the psychos that LIKE the idea of seasons. The only gripe I have is that the Nick Fury reward is too good, but the idea of getting free rewards for doing what I would do anyway is great. Seasons did not change the way I play. I know that people were pushing harder and the old 700 is now 900, and the old 900 is now 1100, but I was always around 800. I've been impeccably consistent before seasons and after

The burnout comes from this endless chase, this feeling that the game is continually running away from me. I was just addicted to this chase, not the game itself. I would have left with or without this hyper competitive direction the game is headed towards. I played SC:BW for over a decade, burnout from competition isn't a thing!

I was rank 49 with 811 points with about an hour to go, and I was certain this would not hold. I wake up this morning and found myself with a yellow Thor. ****, I kinda feel bad for the 51st guy for taking a cover that I'll never use

Psylocke rewards, whew, this is the exact thing that would lure me back into the game. Not gonna lie, I was actually expecting it to be Hood after DD's attempt to summon him last night
but...but...but... I'm just getting to know you guys and you are awesome! icon_e_sad.gif

Thanks, you're awesome John, and I'm impressed by your monster PvE scores. I always had the impression that low levels had a big advantage early on and eventually get scaled out of the top 20 spots, but you consistently pulled out big scores from start to finish

This is exactly what happened to me a couple of months ago. I just hated feeling like I was obligated to put in X time daily to even stand a chance to be competitive and be able to use new characters. The game hasn't changed for the better in this respect, but being a part of an alliance has made it a more enjoyable experience over-all.

I hope everyone the best. I feel some burnout because of all the events. I dont like PVP at all. I never really did. But if thats the only way I can get HP and covers then so be it. I have to see what happens to CMags when that nerf comes. I simply cannot compete without him and I don't even have a single purple cover of his. I wish so many changes to this game but I know they are not going to happen. I dont expect any drastic changes to the game in the near future. There are certainly plenty of other games to be played if I get to the point of walking.

Thanks. I'm a PVE player. Plus, I was having much more fun fighting for the top of the alliance score that has no rewards then I was fighting for the actual rewards. The chatter in the alliance chat kept me going. I've always done decent in PVE, but I killed that last one, and it's because of you guys. icon_e_biggrin.gif
  • Doh, didn't want to spread the negativity. Let's get back to positive. As burnt as I am I still have positives to say about the game. In fact I'm way more positive about the game than negative and I'm leaving on a good note

They've done a pretty good job designing new, exciting, balanced characters. LThor was the exception but every one since then has been really cool. I wasn't excited about Cap but he turned out to be really good from a design/gameplay standpoint. Even Daredevil was cool, as much of a failure as he is. Undecided on Sentry. As boring as his colour combo is, his green was hella cool that one time I used it

Last Heroic event had a very nice roster, a great change from the miserable two heroics that preceded it

This current event has been pretty amusing so far

Thanks for inviting us in, DecoyDuck! We'd join the CareBears, but Frite said it would be the end of the world, and we don't want Armageddon on our shoulders.

Besides, Milkrain is a very nice lady, in spite of vomiting pandas, and we don't want her to be kicked out icon_e_smile.gif

Nah. Not serious. In fact, she's a CareBear, our foe, and she must suffer the end of the Season like all of us!

Purinxa, how come you're leaving already? We BEARELY knew you...sigh, bad joke. Don't go yet, wait till Wednesday like the rest of us. I mean, it can't get much worse, can it?

Right now the game is really annoying, for all the 99 reasons TU1 listed. PVP is extremely tiresome; we broke shields three times yesterday and still didn't get into top ten. We fought the best way we could, taking on enemies with a lot of points who wouldn't care to retal to someone who was rising, shield-hopping and all in all being very careful while still pushing the envelope - uh, this sounds insane, but that's what we did. And after it all we were only 11th.

But maybe they'll listen to us for once and make it fun again? I look back to the days when I started playing the game, late November, before Janaina took an interest it. Right then it was riveting. I played it all the time.

I hope some of that excitement returns. We don't really want to quit. We just want our game back.

We have one more hurdle before the end of the Season. And black Psylockes for the alliance rewards... It's ironic (or as Fedlex put it, destiny). This is the one alliance reward our team missed out on way back when. Due to some inexplicable circumstances, we lost our position in the last 5 minutes. I'm going bring it back home. Stare!!!

Ring-ring.... ring-ring.... Destiny is calling. Let's answer it with a swift kick in the face. Stare!
  • I'm fighting until Season 1 ends. Gonna be consistent, nothing too high nothing too low. I was supposed to have exactly 600 HP to spend on 2x24 hour shields, but we got top 50 last event so I'm gonna have 50 extra HP remaining!
  • I had some free time last night so I spent some time grinding out point in the SHIELD simulator, probably close to 600. To my surprise I hadn't lost any overnight and I didn't put up a shield!

I don't really like the current PvE that much, which sucks because I tend to like PvE more, in general. MMR seems to have caught up with me and I have a bunch of level 160ish enemies right out of the gate. Plus all the buffed characters are ones that I really don't use much... bah... but as always I really want the new character, even if I won't use him much.

I think my daily counter is up to 208 today (how come I only got 190 pts yesterday hmmm?). Anyway I was just curious how long others have been playing. Thats a significant amount of time. Maybe it should be time to move on. I don't want to though. I'm actually looking forward to Season 2.
  • Mine's around 190, though the first few weeks of that I was only playing occasionally.
  • Mine is at 209, though I started playing the week the game was released on mobile so actually a bit longer than that. I'm still enjoying it. I'm not super addicted like I was at first and no longer have any desire to shoot for 1st place finishes like I once was.

After spending a bunch of money I told myself that I ought to continue playing for at least a year just to try to get as much value out of my investment as possible. Playing in general does not feel like an obligation at this point, individual events, however, sometimes do feel like an obligation.
  • I'm only at 153. Started playing when Beta became available on Steam.

The game has gotten very stagnant for me. When I was using 2* I was using the same four heroes and now that I've crossed to 3* I'm again only using four specific heroes. If I could max out another hero it might start being different and fun again.

As for the current PvE: I'm disappointed with the story. No involvement from SHIELD. I'm liking the single sub-event structure. My enemies are only level 60-80 range so that's good.

I did my simulator push but shielded at a stupid time. There was 1day 1h left on the clock when I bought a 24hour shield icon_razz.gif Luckily the season ends on EU day time so I can re-shield or make another push towards the end.

It says I'm on day 210. Purple Daredevil cover for the daily supply.

PVE is OK for now. I wouldn't mind a bit more limited roster though (just not extremely limited) - that brings the puzzle element out. Also, the dark avengers dialogue make them all seem so... lucid.

Less than 24 hours left in Season 1. Woo! Ol' DecoyDuck is running out of gas. I hope Season 2 can find some way to refuel everyone.

My my, this davechevski guy has been posting in EVERY alliance thread trying to recruit himself. Every alliance thread except ours, that is. Not that we're actively recruiting now... but y'know, a little respect for C B S?
  • 209 for me too. Was on vacation with no internet and no signal for about 5 days.

Tomorrow's reward... Purple DD... ummm... yay?

They can, by waiting for the current PVE to be over before starting. You know, give people a 9 day or so rest from the Seasons thing.

Probability of that happening = 0. It's going to start with Psylocke PvP most likely... yuck.
