The retired boosts will no longer drop but you can hold onto those you have til they have been used.

I'm talking about as mission rewards from the chapters in the Prologue. If they don't drop, I won't be able to claim 100% of the rewards in each chapter icon_e_sad.gif

I dont have any unclaimed, but it would make sense that those would have been updated to the current boosts.

    Confirmed.

Picking up one of the stockpile boosts from the Prologue unlocks the new style of boost. Prologue pickups are now 5 of the +1 boost listed on the card. A shame I only had one stockpile left to claim in the Prologue :/
  • Awesome (not). Thanks Lyrian!!
  • So much for better communication. Just wish they would have actually detailed and given more information on how the new boost system works under the news and announcements considering how important they're to the game itself.

I can understand how you can't detail everything about the game or even give a full set of patch notes (which I really want considering practically every program/game does it) But for something so integral to the game like a full boost system change to not be told in depth just seems like a we don't care attitude.

Just to clarify before people leap to the defense or take it the wrong way. I'm not really angry per say, just wanted to point out better announcements and details would help the creators and it wouldn't hurt to show off and expand on new big changes to the game and it could excite the community and disperse more negative feelings than create if they gave better announcements and details about upcoming large changes such as this.
  • i would of preferred if they just changed the old ones into the new ones...
  • Yay! I'm farming the prologue 1st mission to randomly acquire the new boosts so I can then purchase them later. This is fun....waitaminute!

Pretty sure boosts don't drop from Prologue anymore.
  • Is it going to take me FOREVER to get all the boost since i finished prologue?

Think he just means from the random drops after winning a battle.

I got one to randomly drop (in addition to the stockpile award for an event), but it was from the Dark Avengers chapter. Couldn't get one to drop from the early chapters. Similar to the Spidey nerf, I think players are not going to be able to farm the early chapters for boosts anymore. That, or the mission may need to be non-trivial for a boost to be able to drop. Too early to draw any real conclusions though.
  • Is 10 boosts still the maximum? Someone mentioned that they had over 10 Crit boosts but I'd like to find out if other people have had the same experience.

I'm sitting on 9 of the new All color Power Boosts and I'll start using them if 10 is the max
  • Maybe I'm slow, but can somebody please explain the purpose of revamping the boosts? I know that some people didn't like the +3 AP boost, but I've never really understood why. And I surely don't understand what was wrong with the previous boosts. The fact that you can now stack +20% boosts seems even more overpowered than the previous ones. icon_question.gif

No reasoning, it's just stupid LoL. Maybe people were completing missions they "shouldn't" have according to the Devs with these boosts, so they decided to take them away ????

I miss having to pay 100HP for 3x +3AP rainbow boosts as now I can't complete some of the missions in the current PVE.
  • Ugh, managed one round of each sub without my blue boost for Spidey. Not fun. Really feel like I should have access to it. After playing the game for 120 days. Grumble.

Maybe one will drop during the Lightning Rounds.
  • One thing the new system has done for me, is to force me to go into fights 'naked', i.e. with no boosts. It's a much scarier world out there, when you have to be much more prudent with your matching and evaluate the starting board for the best route to trigger your first ability. I do wonder how people without maxed rosters will find it though... undoubtedly even more scary icon_eek.gif

Probably to be able to roughly double the prices yet again without it being as apparent as the last time. Weird how these unpopular changes never make it into the announcements or patch notes.
  • I'm at 28 for crit boosts already, so it looks like they go quite high!

I've been doing that a lot since the original price change to the boosts a month or so ago. I don't have a maxed roster by any means (my current highest is an 82 Patch), but I've been enjoying the challenge of trying to win without relying on boosts. In certain fights I would still use them if I was struggling, but I think in general it's turned me into a better MPQ player. It's also ended up with me having a lot more ISO floating around as I wasn't spending 400 ISO every 3 fights to restock my boosts. It doesn't sound like a lot but it certainly adds up if you play a lot throughout the day like I do.
  • For me the problem is that they designed the entire game around the boosts and that includes the leveling of the enemies. There should be a cap to the enemy levels for players with limited roster even if they win a series of matches. How are players supposed to fight 100-200 level goons with 5-10k health and 6 AP abilities that spit out CD that can 1 hit KO a hero, if they don't use boosts? The obvious answer is to use Spiderman, but not everyone is fortunate enough to have him leveled and at 5 blue.

I wonder if the devs play the game after each patch with a mid level team, or their decisions are based solely on theorycrafting. Most of the time I was using the +3 U/P so that OBW could delay the CD before they wipe my entire team, but now this becomes too expensive. It is really disturbing that they not only don't change Spiderman's broken blue, but they encourage players to use him as the only (or one of the few) answer to the enemy scaling.
